Thank you for going over the material and the power cord! I needed to know if this light would be safe around my toddler (plastic + vertical plug to fit in an outlet cover box).
Definitely an improvement over the original. I owned 2 of the original, and unfortunately the wire and port that it gets plugged into started to degrade after the warranty was up. The problem was how deep the plug was to the inside of the light. So even if I wanted to replace just the dc plug, it couldn't be fit into the inside of the hue go, unless it was specifically a hue go plug. The plug here actually looks more robust, and doesn't seem to go as deep into the actual hue go which should definitely improve it's overall longevity. Thanks for the review 👍
Another very informative and well structured video from SHTT. You have me strongly considering finally dipping my toe into getting a smart device. You're very persuasive, Stephen! Looking forward to more.
Would it be okay to just live it on with the charger like regular lamp, and switch it off when you dont need it? While the portability is good in some cases if I want it kept on a shelf or something seems like a hassle to have to keep charging it.
You should really specify the 2.0 designation in your upload header. The 2.0 is a FAR superior product to the original although Philips were at one time charging the identical price for both!
I connect to bridge at home. But i cant connect hue go with bluetooth. I want connect it in camping. But i cant connect with bluetooth. I looking play store for bluetooth app but i cant find in play store. How can i solve this problem?
I am unaware of any Bluetooth option. All Philips Hue products work on the Zigbee protocol which requires a hub. I don't see how this could be used camping.
We have a multi story house and my door is not visible from the other floors. Also, I don't want to have to get up from my desk before or after every meeting to take a sign on or off my door.

Thanks for watching. It has been a good little light so far.

It lives exclusively on the charger in my house. Works great that way.
You can connect it through the app and it when it’s off it usually retains a charge for a bit
Can it stay plugged in with wire all the time?
Yes

Great point. Thanks for the info.
Nice job bro!! KEEP IT UP!
Thank you 🙏🏽
Is it bright enough? How big of a space could I cover in the dark. Thanks! I subbed
Thanks for subscribing. The max brightness for this model I believe is 520 Lumens. A normal 60 watt Philips Hue light is 800 Lumens.
@@StephenHelwigTalksTech no problem :) like a flood light? Or a light bulb or?
does sunrise alarm ststem work without philips bridge ?
All Hue products require a bridge to work.

Can these light up a wall ? Or not strong enough ?
Probably not a whole wall, but really it depends on the size of wall.
If I put one on a side table into the corner of a white wall, will it light up the corner from the floor to the ceiling? (like 9 feet tall)
Yes, it should be able to at the full brightness setting. Of course the darker the room the more it will show up. Sorry it took me so long to respond.
How long is the cable?
Approximately 6.5ft
@@StephenHelwigTalksTech thank you
cant connect with google home without bride?
No bridge is required for all Philips Hue products
Just put a sign on your door, or your doorknob
