Recently added to my layout is this MTH 2-6-6-6 C&O Allegheny Type steam locomotive. A full review will come soon but wanted you all to enjoy some footage of it running on my layout.
Hey Jason, love the new Allegheny steamer, she looks and sounds great bro!!!!!!!!! It is an excellent addition to your already awesome collection! I love my diesels too, but there is nothing like a steamer rumbling down the tracks! Anyways, thanks for the video bud and have a great one! Hope everything is going great with the new job!
Glad you like Chicago so far. Sadly as far as O scale is concerned, there are only two main hobbyshopsin the area. One is Berwyn Toys and Trains in the west suburb of Berwyn, and Chicagoland Trains and Hobbies on Chicago's NW side on Northwest Highway. There is also The Great Midwest Train Show which is coincidentally is being held tomorrow in Wheaton, Il. which west of Chicago. Here various vendors and private owners sell everything train related. Sort of a train flea market if you will. Anyway, the before mentioned hobby shops are both partial to MTH. Hope this helps, good hunting.
On 1998 I had the chance to buy one of these, brand new,in the box for $400 .A train shop was going out of business. I look back and could kick myself over and over again ,I understand that now it's hard to get them for any price. Would any of you know where I could get a new H8 like this in 2 rail scale?
Very nice engine Jason.....I always liked the Allegheny, one of my favorite steamers. i got the Railking Imperial Duluth Missabe coming soon. I'd like to get the premier but my layout won't handle its size due to the track radius. Good luck with your new job ans take care....Ron Harford........p.s. i think Nick is getting this engine as well
Beautiful Allegheny Jason! Really enjoyed the video. Quick question, have you thought about weathering your track at all? Thanks for sharing and have a good one, Ethan
Hey JD have a few questions for you and wanted to know how to get a hold of you through email. Also the Allegheny of mine you asked about is complete but I want some input from you on a possible upgrade.
