My local charity shops are getting worse. They won’t put anything of any value because it gets stolen, even one shoe goes out now like proper shoe shops and all three are telling me they are sticking anything of value on line, vinted on eBay. I need to go further afield
I once found a box full of Agatha Christie stories cassettes in a a charity shop. They were £3 - £3.50 each. I was rummaging through and the manager said I could have the lot for £10.00. I said Ok and brought them home. There were over 30 of them. I've only sold half a dozen but already made my money back.
The Wiggles are going on UK tour in April and May next year, I work in one of the venues and most shows sold out in a day. I couldn't believe how popular they still are as I took my daughter to see them 14 years ago!
The Mokka coffee pot, if you unscrew the top there’s a metal filter with rubber seal underneath. They have no value but great for doing a fresh coffee on a hob
Most shops tend to close in Swaffham at 4pm as standard. The high street has possibly vastly changed since you owned a bricks and mortar shop. If you were "frustrated" by this you had the choice to visit the town earlier. The guy at the hospice shop politely explained the reason for closing 10 mins early (I was there at the time). He was on his own and considering it's a relatively large store with a first floor it was not unreasonable for him to do so. Making this comment on your vlog was unkind of you both and badly done. This is a local hospice and their charity shops are largely supported by hardworking and dedicated volunteers. I was also surprised that you could make such a comment considering you appear to base your business model on mainly sourcing stock from charity shops. Lastly, that beautiful structure on the market place is not a bandstand, it's a market cross and it's been there since the 1780s.
Nic I have a question ...I bought some card from ebay, today i get a message on my phone telling me I can buy direct from them in the future and it will be cheaper...is this allowed and how did they get my phone number?
I had this with a card supplier for records, not a phone but a business card that promised cheaper than eBay. Turned out great for me. Your phone number appears with your address when you purchase an item. If you can get cheaper without eBay and it works out for you, enjoy the saving, as they won’t be paying fees
That was a lovely town , thank you both for taking us along 👍🏻💞💙
The different areas of Norwich always reminds me of Alan Partridge, clever & funny guy {Steve Coogan} ... I'll watch the video now 👍🏻💞💙

I remember as a kid in the 80s no dogs had jumpers or jackets. They just had to make do with their fur to keep them warm enough.

Press Reader is great too. Newspapers (UK and worldwide) and magazines, again a free app and free access to lots of publications

Whatever happened to your app?
Swaaarf'um...nice place (It HAS to be said in a Norwich accent or you give yourself away as a "foreigner" (a non-Norfolk folk!)

What's with the random fella just sat in the middle of the floor?? Very strange! 😂
Was he an extra perhaps?
@@Andygb78 a paid extra? Haha.
It really annoys me when the charity shops close early, if you really hate being there, why take on the role?
Lone working for the Volunteer.
