We are based in North Wales and manage around 150 colonies of bees, plus nucleus colonies.
We produce Great Taste Award winning honey and sell nucleus colonies to members of the public.
Our 6 frame overwintered nucleus colonies sell out very fast every year so early ordering is advisable.

We supply F1 Mated Buckfast and Jolanta Queens throughout the season. The UK Mated Jolanta Queens are reared using genetics used by the UK's biggest bee farmer - Murray McGregor - and are not available to general public, except through resellers like us! Check out our queens page on our website.

We are passionate about beekeeping and really enjoy helping beekeepers through our TH-cam channel.
On our channel you can find information on making splits with swarm cells, making increase with queen cells, grafting larvae, foulbrood and disease inspection, honey extraction and machinery, top tips for beginners, products reviews, instructions and guidance plus much more.
#NO NONSENSE BEEKEEPING is a UK based beekeeping channel, designed to keep beekeeping as simple and enjoyable as possible. There are no overly complicated techniques or intricate pieces of equipment.
We cover all beekeeping topics ranging from queen rearing, disease recognition/control, honey extraction, swarm management/collection, how to make splits and much more!
My personal favourite aspects of beekeeping are selecting queens for rearing, rearing queens for mating, making up nucs for overwintering and collecting swarms.
We aim to bridge the gap between commercial and hobbyist beekeepers and cater for beekeepers of all experience levels.
No matter what your level of experience, please hit the subscribe button and join us on our journey!

Thanks, Lawrence. It was bad here in Essex, too. I saved a swarm in the rain that was on a pitched roof that was cold and soaked. I had no hope for its survival, but as of now, 2nd Jan, they are doing fine. My mistake with them was that I left a super on with a queen excluder between the brood box and super. Luckily, because it was mild today and the rain stopped, I was able to take it off. Needless to say, they were not happy to be opened up, but hopefully, now it will help the Queen with more space while it is mild plus prevent swarming later on in the season.

Refreshing to hear your regrets, makes it easier for us amateurs to acknowledge our gaffs. One but if advice I was given by a mentor - keep to one type of hive for all your colonies. Sound!

In the words of old blue eyes
    "Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption"
    I planned each chartered course
Each careful step along the byway
But more, much more than this
    I did it my way"
We all wished we had a crystal ball to the future but we don't so constantly assessing and adapting is made easier with the multitude of videos and advice you supply, here's to 2024 being a less problematic year

Thank you, Lawrence! for the excellent video. My regret for 2023, my first beekeeping year is making weak nucs in the beginning of July when wasps attacked them. My June nucs are fine, but July was a disaster.

We all learn new things every year 🤷‍♀️ mainly because the weather is different every year. I think we are ALL hoping for a better weather next year, but living in the UK there are no guarantees 😳 Your videos help us all evaluate what we are doing and why so looking forward to seeing what you do this season 👏👏🇬🇧

Cheers for that, I am still on a long term learning curve and seem to slip off the edge more than most, but always looking forward to the next spring. Enjoyed the livestream, but sadly missed the live version. Happy New Year.
