I think you could apply a couple layers of gesso (making sure to dry completely in between coats) to your canvas, to strengthen (and thicken) it. It would also smooth out the tooth-texture of the canvas cloth. Very cool! I'm going to try it.
Hi, to achieve outstanding results, that are eligible for huge money in sells, you need to spray canvas with WHITE GLOSS acrylic paint, let it dry, than BLACK GLOSS acrylic paint and also let it dry. Because lasers are quite bad with white acrylic and very good with black acrylic you will be amazed with what you'll achieve. Thanks, Max.
I tried Canvas some time ago with my first 2.5w diode. Worked very well. Later i tried another brand of canvas and the laser didnt even let a mark on it, even with max power and very, VERY slow. i never found out, what was wrong.
Great video and demonstration of engraving on plain canvas. I have that on my to-do list as well. Both the text and the image look great. Do you mind sharing what image mode setting you used for the image if you used Lightburn? I struggle to get images to engrave that look half descent. Of all the images modes, I have the best luck with Atkinson at 300 DPI for JPGs and PNG's but still do not get that great of an engrave of images. Thanks.
Thanks for all your help and tutorials. It’s been a blessing. I really enjoy and learn a lot from them!
Glad you like it. We are both learning …
That turned out awesome. Gotta try that out. From the beginning part of the video it looks like you have a nice place. Thanks for all the information
Thanks 👍
Thanks for sharing. The canvas idea is interesting.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome video, loving your ideas. Those key chains are so cute
Thanks, luckily I had some scrap laying around.
Great video! No worries on the delay … life happens! To have an actual schedule on TH-cam and a life is too hard and nearly impossible!
It can be a challenge for sure. Thanks
Thank you for your videos It really helps. Thank you
You are so welcome!

sorry, wrote comment without watching till the end.. :D i see you know about spray painting..
Thanks
So, if you haven't gone really dark and damaged the canvas, can you spray paint the canvas and reuse it ??
I have found that the image underneath can still bleed through. Its not a bad practice piece but I wouldn't use it for a project.

@@TheClackShack Thats clear, but sadly there is no way to tell before buying.

Thanks for this video i just start follow you!! im new in this laser world i got xtool s1 40w
Welcome aboard!
Something I thought you could laser images of like you’d find in adult coloring books…
Then use colored pencils or markers and color in the canvas.
Could do that
Do you clean the canvas after you engrave it?
Hit with some air then clearcoat it
Hello
What are the settings if i want to just draw an image on canvas?
Setting vary
Sorry for another stupid question but what is LPI and what does it do?
Line per inch, basically, it is the resolution of the image. Like 720 vs 1080 in video
Could you guess the settings if on the xtool diode?
Canvas isn't an easy guess. It requires a very specific power setting. Testing is a must
I’m using creative space
Cool
What dpi are you using??
300
