This is great advice. I find a big blank canvas very intimidating, but it really doesn’t matter if you mess up a piece of cardboard.

Tom,what basic colors do you use for mixing?

My usual palette is white, yellow, ochre, cad. red, alizarin, blue & green. I use that for nearly everything I paint.
