Exit indicators a great idea VP love the videos. I usually use SuperTrend as my exit indicator i feel like it works really well in trending markets I use the settings 7,3 when markets are trending choppy and 7,2 when price is moving at a nice pace.

Hi VP, Could my exit indicator be more than one indi ? i've created an excellent Exit indi by combining 3 indis .. when all are true i exit .. and to be honest .. it works like magic !
my system is nowhere complete ... its hard to test anything as a system though when trailing stops are not explained yet. i can test individual indies but for the numbers i need to know how long a trade will run to journal it and decide wether that trade wouldve been an exit via trail or exit indi .....i understand the drip feed method but alot of the videos reference the trail exit. thanks VP i know im most likely missing something in my testing
Try manually backtesting your system over a variety of pairs. Do at least 30 manually simulated trades. (Automated backtesting of a purely mechanical system will give you a bigger database, but it will only improve your programming skills, not your trading skills.) If you like your simulated results, then take a very small position--something you can afford to lose--and forward test it with real money. Assume you will perform worse with real money on the line than in simulated trades, since that is usually the case. If you turn a profit without large drawdowns in your forward testing, then increase your position size cautiously. If not, then keep tweaking your system.

So true about holding trades. People are always saying to close them before the end of the trading day or end of the week etc.... Why? Like you say, hold it to the trend, take some profit or I move my SL into neutral or profit even and leave it ride. Again, great videos, podcasts etc and very well put across and polite. Love it!

Get a regular job, and trade on the side. Once you turn pro, and can live off the money, quit the job. Never go all-in on this game from the start. Terrible mistake.

Hi there, have watched exit video and podcast but have a question re when to exit while in a trade. Could not seem to find the answer so hoping someone can respond. You make a trade with all indicators pointing to go, but during the course of the day you notice your exit indicator is telling you to exit. Do you get out then or wait till following day when candle closes. Thanks.

Last time I did was back in summer 2014 when volume bottomed out and there were no daily trade set-ups at all for months. Apart from that, all daily, all the time. Episode 30 of the podcast went deeper into it.

I don't agree with the daily timeframe approach. My algorithm doesn't work well on it. I get waaayy better results on the 4 hour timeframe. But I would love the time freedom you get on the daily. If only my algorithm worked well on it. I mean trading only 15 minutes a day sounds awesome. But I don't mind trading 35 minutes a day on the 4 hour.
How do you take half a trade off? It's either all or nothing, isn't it. Or is there something I have missed during the video binge I have been doing lol.

My take: if he’s a troll, he must be one hell of a smart one to be able to present the materials the way he does. There’re things that just can’t pretend without having the past experiences. He’s actually giving away his ‘trading systems’; if one just pays a little more attention to his presentations. If nothing clicks after watching say 15 videos, it just goes to show one doesn’t know the basic mechanics of indicators and lacking the passion to excellence. Just my two cents

Number one rule since trading began: keep your losses small and let your profits run. Risk control is the number one thing, much more important than getting in at the best price. This is true in all markets: stocks, options, futures, forex, even crypto if you are a real thrill-seeker.

Out of curiosity - why is it important to you (VP) that you engage tons of people via your podcast? Why does it matter to you that "your stuff" is known by as many as possible? Why?
Not speaking for VP, but it seems like he's someone who enjoys teaching. Forex is a very young field, and there aren't many good teachers out there - hence the failure rate. Have you ever figured out something really complicated and were just itching to share how you did it with someone? Many people like sharing their contributions to a particular field, and successful individuals often do some kind of teaching later in their careers. I'm guessing that's what it is.
Hi VP so I agree with this in 1 respect but in another I disagree. I have been trading your algorithm with my own indicators for about a year. I traded demo for 7 months and then funded a tiny little believe it or not $25 account using Ultra low micro leverage and figures that my broker offers. I then used my algorithm with unacceptable risk of 8% at minimum lot sizes and yes i know this was too much but it was the minimum i could take. I then managed to abit more than double my account in 3 months. I then withdrew the profits and have bought my first propfirm $5000 challenge and that challenge is going well using the correct risk, but that small $25 account gave me : a, the experience of trading live which has been invaluable and b, the capital for my first propfirm challenge so I would say I didnt waste my time with the small account, it was as valuable as the demo! Damn my video skipped over this was supposed to be on the small accounts video

I guess you could combine them. The ATR can easily go over any other indicator: just place it on top of it, remove the line and refer to the number that appears above. You can also place the stocastics inside the rsi (just a couple of bad examples) as long as you can easily tell the difference between the two.
“You’ll get your free video when I say you will.” Haha. Fine. As long as I get my free French fries and coke with it! There is too much information and detail to process and too much research involved to be getting this information any faster. If someone doesn’t understand that then they will most likely walk away from day trading in less than a year. The last year of constant struggle in the forex market has taught me that my expectations need to be toned down with much patience

Number one rule since trading began: keep your losses small and let your profits run. Risk control is the number one thing, much more important than getting in at the best price. This is true in all markets: stocks, options, futures, forex, even crypto if you are a real thrill-seeker.

Not speaking for VP, but it seems like he's someone who enjoys teaching. Forex is a very young field, and there aren't many good teachers out there - hence the failure rate.
Have you ever figured out something really complicated and were just itching to share how you did it with someone? Many people like sharing their contributions to a particular field, and successful individuals often do some kind of teaching later in their careers. I'm guessing that's what it is.
Hi VP so I agree with this in 1 respect but in another I disagree. I have been trading your algorithm with my own indicators for about a year. I traded demo for 7 months and then funded a tiny little believe it or not $25 account using Ultra low micro leverage and figures that my broker offers. I then used my algorithm with unacceptable risk of 8% at minimum lot sizes and yes i know this was too much but it was the minimum i could take. I then managed to abit more than double my account in 3 months. I then withdrew the profits and have bought my first propfirm $5000 challenge and that challenge is going well using the correct risk, but that small $25 account gave me : a, the experience of trading live which has been invaluable and b, the capital for my first propfirm challenge so I would say I didnt waste my time with the small account, it was as valuable as the demo! Damn my video skipped over this was supposed to be on the small accounts video

I guess you could combine them. The ATR can easily go over any other indicator: just place it on top of it, remove the line and refer to the number that appears above. You can also place the stocastics inside the rsi (just a couple of bad examples) as long as you can easily tell the difference between the two.

There is too much information and detail to process and too much research involved to be getting this information any faster. If someone doesn’t understand that then they will most likely walk away from day trading in less than a year. The last year of constant struggle in the forex market has taught me that my expectations need to be toned down with much patience
