    Cute dress! Thanks for sharing your idea of doing one dress per month. I might be able to do this project that way.

      Thanks but I can't take credit - Carmen Salome' came up with that idea!!

    Thank you for showing the dress you made. I love that you started with a larger size. Everyone wants to make the cute little ones.

    • @MichelleSewsAgain
      @MichelleSewsAgain  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That was one of the reason I wanted to make one in every size Lori. I think the smaller ones are easy to make because they take so much less fabric so using scraps is super easy. But the older girls need dresses too!!

      Thanks Margaret! It was difficult to find a "cute" placement for the hearts because of the need to have that one smack dab in the middle! I'm glad it worked out 😊

    Hi Michell! I took a page from your book and decided to make a dress a month. I've really gotten carried away and am finishing my fourth one! I have the peasant dress pattern and have made one for my granddaughter. I hadn't thought about using it for this project but will now. Yours is too cute and I think the hearts add a cute touch.

    I used the bodice fabric for a shirt. I call it my dinosaur shirt because it reminds me of what dinosaur skin could look like. I love it!

  • @drejoicepr

    Hi! How do you determine where to put the pockets? Thanks😊

    • @MichelleSewsAgain
      @MichelleSewsAgain  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Great question! I usually fold the bodice in half from neck to hem and then place the top of the pocket on that line. Sometimes an inch or two from the side seam. Sometimes an inch or two from the center front. But almost always half way between the neckline and hem. I hope that helps!

    I've got a box full of fabric specifically saved for Dress a Girl Around the World! Gotta get busy! Oh! How do I aquire labels?

    • @MichelleSewsAgain
      @MichelleSewsAgain  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sandra - that's awesome that you have fabric set aside just for the DAG project! You can either get labels directly from the DAG website or you can email me your address and I'll send you a couple. My email is cmwh1966@gmail.com. I'm out of town right now but will pop them in the mail when I get home. I know the DAG website has been in and out of stock so not sure if they are available right now.

    I would love to make some of these cute dresses for Project Dress A Girl. However, I have no JoAnns or fabric stores near me so I have to order fabric online. Not sure how we know if the woven fabric we are ordering is not “see thru”.

    • @MichelleSewsAgain
      @MichelleSewsAgain  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sue! Well, that is a tricky task. I found this article about sheer fabrics that gives you guidelines on fabric types and weights that are sheer. I imagine if you buy fabrics with weights higher than what is mentioned, you are probably going to be safe. tissura.com/articles/sheer-fabrics. Good luck!

    New to your channel. What is sew frugal?

    • @MichelleSewsAgain
      @MichelleSewsAgain  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a challenge that is hosted every year by Sam from Frugalisima and Ruan from TheYorkshireSewGirl - usually in April or May. And they challenge you to make something with a free pattern using fabric from your stash. They have prizes and it's lots of fun - anyone can join! They've done it the last 3 years. Hopefully they will still run it next year :)

  • @suek7086

    My problem has been finding fabric online that I could know it is not at all transparent. Many sites don’t say. I rarely can get to a brick and mortar store. I wish I knew what weight cotton would work.

    • @MichelleSewsAgain
      @MichelleSewsAgain  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a really good question Sue! I'll see if I can figure it out and then speak about it in next months video!

    I went on line to Dress a Girl around the world to purchase labels and it said labels are not available. What's that about, do you know?

    • @MichelleSewsAgain
      @MichelleSewsAgain  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I went to look and it just looks like they are temporarily out of stock. That happens from time to time. Just check back with them later!
