I own a Falcon light Hunter and it’s the best gun I’ve owned a would never want anything more it does the job and still got the same seals in it since I bought it in back in 1998/ 99 .
Heyup Russ, good to see they've got the next gen Caiman with the safety above the trigger, awesome little gun, been fancying the knight X's but waiting to see if the new laminate is at the show mate, great review mate, Best Regards, Jon, HETV 👍😁
I remember the good old days of beautifully crafted traditional air rifles. It's really strange revisiting this hobby after a 30 year absence to find so many of these odd looking, space age designs occupying the racks of gun shops. John Darling (HW80 - then much later - the Theoben Rapid 7) & Arthur Shepard (Theoben Sirrocco) - the golden era. I too had the HW80, HW35 and Webley Omega, to name a few, during my decade with Airguns. It's a different world now. But interesting to see how the market has evolved. Really nice video. Cheers 👍
Thanks for watching. I've owned a Theoben Rapid Mk.2 and other traditional-shaped rifles, but having been disabled (on crutches) the last twenty years I'm really grateful for these new compact designs, so much more portable for me! All the best, cheers. Russ
me too . just put my hands on my new ELEMENT MAX .510 WENSDAY and i gotta build the shooting area more ressilient to take a .510 projectile at 600fpe smiles it will be a few
Sweet! 👏 I recently found (at my folks' house) my old immaculate/boxed/rare Crosman 1389 Backpacker (bought here thirty? years ago) - that's been serviced and will be getting sold as soon as I've reviewed it. Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
@@RussDouglas222 I have a Katran with a Pard DS35 on it, i chose the Pard after your brilliant review videos, haven't managed any night shooting as yet,...hopefully soon!
Hi guys enjoyed the video. I recently purchased a Reximex Mito pistol can you do a video on red dot scopes across the price range that can fit the rail. Also suitable scopes and mounts. There isn’t a lot of help out there from the U.K. perspective. Cheers.
I have previously purchased CARM mags and they are great, I have 3 for my Kral NP-03......... but since Brexit, trying to purchase CARM mags from the supplier for delivery to the UK is a real pain, last I saw you have to order a rediculous number of them for him to be able to post them over.
Could you possibly consider filling the last pellet port in the Krait’s magazine with a stopper, to have an identifiable, positive “stop”, albeit at a cost of one shot out of the 18 shot magazine? If the mag didn’t let the plunger/pellet seater seat, you’d soon get the idea that it’s time to reload; either this, or just buy a second magazine and change over after you’ve lost count, hopefully before 19 shots are fired!
I suggested a blanked chamber to AirMaks, but they're cautious of the pellet probe being accidentally damaged if pushed against the blanked chamber. From CARM magazines I do have an aftermarket 3D-printed alternative magazine with a blanked last chamber (lower capacity), plus a similarly 3D-printed single-shot loader (e.g., for HFT)... www.carm-magazines.com/Proizvodi.aspx?keyword=airmaks&page=1 I must finish testing these soon. 🤦🏻 Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
How hard could it be for the shot count ,to be illuminated into the scope ,maybe little number in the corner ,,someone needs to do it be worth lots of money to the 1st person who manages it
So you'd like an electronic rifle action that has a live shot count(down), that's displayed onscreen within a digital scope? TBH I can't see that ever happening, as I can only think of a few high-end marques (e.g. Daystate) that could do that, and they're not closely aligned with any digital (day & night) scope manufacturers (that I know-of). 🤔🤷🏻♂️ Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
Interesting, but it might well be down to the discretion (or not) of each individual UK Police force, as I wouldn't be surprised if opinions differ between them on this subject. All the best, cheers. Russ
@@noire1001 There are still traditional rifles available from many brands, but tactical-styled rifles are very popular. If they weren't selling they wouldn't be made. 🤷🏻♂️ Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
It's a simple shape for sure, but so's the Daystate Pulsar, which is essentially a plank with a sticky-out handle. I love that the Caiman feels purposeful and I can loop a belt through the rear stock hole as a simple sling, but I definitely prefer the compact look of the Caiman over the Caiman X. Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
But I said exactly that in the video 🙄, it's an airsoft-style BB-firing rifle that's almost identical to an airsoft AEG, just slightly more powerful as it's intended to fire steel BBs?!? Lloyd has a massive collection of airsoft and knows them inside-out. R
You dealers and gun shop owners have to stop saying that this gun fires “steel ball bearings” IT DOESN’T IT FIRES BB’s. BB is a recognised shot size like buck shot and bird shot. Saying that the BB’s❤ a ball bearing is at the very least misleading. If you get an impressionable youngster thinking that his new toy will shoot ball bearings he’s going to try it isn’t he. So stop saying “ bbs” are ball bearings when they patently are NOT.
...except (technically) what does "BB" stand-for? 🤔 I don't remember anyone calling them anything other than BBs, but the far more important thing is to remember they have a significant ricochet danger, which all users have to be aware-of and take steps to avoid. Othewise they're being dangerous or at least irresponsible, and irresponsible people shouldn't have access to guns anway. 🤷🏻♂️ Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
@@RussDouglas222 “BB” was originally designated to a size of lead shot measuring .180’ in diameter. Used in early Airguns by Benjamin Etc so when they wanted to import their guns to England the size was reduced to .177. There are lead substitutes for bbs now so ricochets aren’t so much of a problem. As for irresponsible gun users there is no solution apart from a complete ban so there will always be one.
Every machinist, mechanic and engineer in the world would tell you, you are wrong. He used the tearm "steel ball bearing" A quick look in the Oxford dictionary will show you your error
