This is one of the reasons I watch your videos - you do work on your cars that other channels wouldn't even think of, and you show that high-quality results can be achieved with care and perseverance, even without the perfect tools for the job. Another is your personality, which shines through in every video. Hugs and best wishes from the UK!
I’ve been really happy with the 8” subwoofer I installed in the back of my mini. It’s powered and like 3” thick. Totally worth it for the depth of the sound.
I just bought an A4 and I thought it was smudged but the more I cleaned it up my windshield has the same issue yours did. I’m definitely gonna give this a try. I have nothing to lose at this point. Thanks for the help.
I once ordered a factory replacement windshield for my FD so I get it. It came all the way from Japan and took many weeks. And cost a fortune. Really well done!
Wow. I did not even know that product existed!! I have a 2004 Maxima and I have noticed that when it rains during night driving, those micro scratches make driving that much more challenging. Thank you for sharing this!
Ah! More detailing content. Wonderful! It's so nice to see Mr. Dos getting some love after so long. I really appreciate your relentless strive for (near) perfection, with no shortcuts (that aren't well warranted by budget and time constraints). Hey, none of us are perfect.
Well done Sarah. As always, anyway. Recently I wrote a comment in Polish, but now I decided to write something in your language. Professionalism and reliability, with a sense of humor. That's why I love your channel. However, I love you for your passion and for your eyes :-). There is something magical about them. Something that without words says "I love what I do, and I will never give up" I greet you Sarah cordially ..... from Poland.
Yes to the factory sub. It will also make it much nicer to listen to over long periods. Rockford Fosgates are fab but in my research have quite a high bass frequency cutoff. I can confirm the bassiest T1532s even remove a lot of the thump of a kickdrum. Replaced all four factory speakers with those and after a week I begrudgingly installed a removable 8" sub. I wouldn't be without it now. The difference of the before and after was comparable to your windscreen result; subtle but completely worth it. I also need to do this to my windscreen so this couldn't have popped up at a better time and something I can actually try at home with the limited tools I have access to. I love your ethos! Thanks and hope that helps.
The windshield looks awesome. All the tiny chips are annoying, but even brand new glass won't be perfect. Replaced the glass on my challenger and it was still not perfect, but better. Getting ready to do the FRS next. Next time I will look into getting some of that stuff. Thanks for sharing this video.
Keep up the restoration/wrenching Sarah! I admire your determination and perseverance in Mr Dos. I honestly don't mean this in a bad way by saying I can't believe you started this series in Oct 2017. Time flies fast when you're a devoted fan of the build. You've done some great work here. You should be proud of what you've accomplished on your own.
I use to be all about the sound system and found myself getting a little carried away on them so I stopped cold turkey...but I still appreciate the lows along with a good set of tuneup speakers.and I have a surround sound for my home entertainment.
It's all good ! We know through patience, and your eye for detail, all endeavors will resolve to a beautiful finished product. Take your time... Satisfaction is your ultimate reward ❤👌
Sarah. You once again prove the value of subscribing to your channel. Excellent work on the windshield. I had not thought to get results like that so efficiently. Fantastic job. Also, I personally would go with the sub woofer, but to each their own taste. I am a fan of lots of bass in my music. If that’s you, then go for it. Keep up the incredible content Sarah. You rock.
That was so cool. Really enjoyed it. Love it when you talk to the bugs and other wild things. Adds a different dimension which other posters do not have.
A coupla three things; 1. That is a sweeeeeet MR2! B. I love yer sense of humor Last. I definitely need to try that on my mustang windshield, damn Florida sand has left the same mess on my Tango. Keep up the good work! 👍
I had a small, flat "subwoofer" in my NC Miata, and while it didn't hit hard, it did fill out the sound overall. So I would recommend putting a sub in Mr. Dos.
Followed all your advice on my car. Worked quite well!! You really do have to make a ton a passes, but the results are worth it. Thanks so much, after a ton a research, your video was the best well rounded review and technique for windshield polishing with cerium oxide.
Awesome result, excellently researched technique, great execution, great videography & editing, great music: not only a unique car channel with educational benefit but great personality and drop-dead gorgeous too!
Hello Sarah, Nice work with great results on the windshield. But if you don’t mind the pads for glass polishing is Rayon Pads .. It cut much more faster but it needs the surface to be always have moisture on it too keep it cool. So you can mix the Cerium Oxide to be like a paste then spray a spritz of water and work and when you feel it is started to dry spray again till you end your polishing. Then wipe off and inspect. Also Car Pro has it as a Paste. Hope the best for you.
Glad the cerium oxide worked out for you, tried it on my Volvo (original windscreen) but it was too far gone. The universe gave me a sign not much later and I got a giant bullseye in it.
Gret video. They get better all the time. I love how you show the rel you. Your not only intelligent, have a great sense of humor, your a beautiful young lady. Always enjoy your videos. Hi sarah im very glad to see more of your videos Everytime I see your videos it is interesting how you work in those cars I'm glad to know that woman can work on cars too not only men I give you a 👍 Always!!!
Love your videos Sarah. Definitely get the subwoofer. I had a bright red ‘86 MR2 with manual transmission for about 15 years till someone rear-ended it. I loved that car.
That is an awesome car. As a sound system installer for many years, I highly recommend you add the sub, an EQ to tune your system to your car is also advisable.
Sounds like you need to get some measuring cups for this kind of thing. The real test will be driving into bright sunlight and seeing how clear it looks. (Or car headlights at night.)
Absolutely brilliant Sarah, I just learned so much yet from something so simple! The type of pads particularly. You have more logic than 10 men in a mincer bowl 👍🤣 Sound is my forte - yes put the most “efficient” sub woofer in you can find! (Not the loudest) I have learned more from you than any other subject or teaching syllabus! Seriously you have a much higher intellect and anyone who you come into contact with will again “seriously” benefit from your input/service (s) Your humour is just the icing on the cake 🧁 Baz 👍🇬🇧
I am so glad you did this video. I was getting ready to have my windshield replaced on my Z for the same type of scratches. I will have to give this a try first and see if I have the same results. Thanks Sara!!!

I added a thin powered subwoofer to my chevy silverado and the stereo sounds better than the harmon kardon stereo in the beemer. It added a LOT to the overall sound.
Cerium Oxide is also known as jewellers rouge, used as polishing compound, you mix it as a paste exactly as you did. Whenever working on glass just keep the polishing tool moving so you don’t concentrate heat in one spot and use lots of water to keep the area cool and wash any particles that could scratch the glass away. You did a good job 👍
Subwoofer completes and complement any type of music. If it's the factory one, you will be happy with the sound quality. You might even find a better aftermarket one for your ride. An even be cheaper too.
Great result! I just did the same for my Triumph Stag windscreen, but had the luxury of doing it flat on a set of stands before I put it back in the car during the rebuild. So much easier!! Subwoofer- has to be personal choice. With all the cars you drive you will be very well aware of the difference it makes- question is whether you want that when driving Mr Dos.
You and Scotty Kilmer are tops on my YT car care list! Love your little oops moments - I commonly spend half my time repairing the damage I caused doing the original repair......
Thanks for this video, I have a R53 with a bad wiper burn on the rear window. I will use your method rather than swap out the glass. Love the videos, Keep on wrenching, I'll keep on watching.
You should totally do a subwoofer! Maybe not a crazy one but I would love to see a video of a subwoofer install made by someone I know will get the wiring right.

I love hearing the forester start. Sounds just like my fa20 wrx every morning except mine is no cat straight pipe so it’s slightly louder....well, actually a lot louder!
Yes, to a small subwoofer. Something like a JL Audio 6w3 or Alpine Type R 8" with a 200-400 watt amp would probably be plenty to add some bass without getting ridiculous. I know back a few years ago there were guys making custom boxes for the MR2 but now I'm not in the Toyota scene so I can't direct you to anywhere specific.
Wow, Sarah! Those are amazing results. I've always wondered if this is even easily possible at home, though I assumed there was a solution. Definitely something I'll be doing in the future, so I really appreciate the info!
You have posters of the Nordschleife on your wall!...If you haven’t been, you should definitely go...It’s not that expensive...Just the plane ticket to Frankfurt, a rental car, and a hotel room. I stay at Motel Frankfurt in the Dornbusch neighborhood of Frankfurt. It’s about $100 a night. A full size Hertz rental is a big Mercedes. The autobahns on the 1.5 hour drive to Nurburg are intense and fun! The Nürburgring is Mecca for motor-heads and a bucket list must. A lap is €27 and takes about 10 minutes if you’re pushing it. You can drive your rental car or rent a track car at the track from a number of businesses. You’ll remember it forever. So very beautiful in the countryside of western Germany.

Wow, I was skeptical at the beginning, but the result was great.
I use cerium oxide for polish when I cut quartz. The fact you just did this on your windshield blew my mind.
Wow that was a lot of work but worth it. The windshield looks awesome now.
