    Shed Repo?
Yes just like cars and anything else people buy them on rent-to-own terms and if they fail to make their payments it gets REPOED.
I understand people fall on hard times and that sucks but it all comes down to responsibly,
If you can't pay you can always voluntarily return the it.
    Then there is this...
“Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. He who understands it, earns it ... he who doesn't ... pays it.”
    ― Albert Einstein

You'd think with all of that wood working equipment they would build a shed they could afford.

Based on the contents, the excellent condition, and the electrical/HVAC added to the long shed, There’s more to the story than meets the eye. If I were that homeowner, I would do anything and everything in my power to resolve this without a repo.

This sux, I'm pretty sure this is the guy I'm thinking about, if it is then he died and the son wants nothing to do with the shed and its contents, sad case because it's a functioning business and could have been resolved but the repo company probably couldn't get in touch with the family and that's why it went to collection. All in all, a sad scenario!

I just know that my jaw dropped when you entered that building.
Goodness! I'm going to say that the value of the contents FAR outweigh the value of the shed. Seriously!
I also have a question for you and Sarah. Is giving a thumbs-up to the channel AND the various comments, actually counting as a credit towards your TH-cam build-up? Because that's how I handle my favorite people. I actually searched TH-cam a couple of years ago and came away with a "yes" on that, so that is what I do in the comment section. I "thumb-up" the video and then read ALL of the comments while doing the same to the ones I like, (which is usually most of them.
Sorry about the length of this.

If they cant afford the building, i can understand that, but why leave your things inside if there is even a slight chance it will be gone when you get back? I had a tenant who put himself into serious debt. The indicator, as usual, is the overflowing mailbox. The letters literally pushing the lid open (here in germany many mailboxes have a flap outside and a lid inside), the letters raining into the hallway. All from debt collectors. At a certain point people just stop responding. They dont open letters anymore. They dont answer the door or take a call. If i shut my eyes, i am invisible.

A lot of people are discussing the contents of the shed. Dewalt dw746 probably early 2000’s 10” they called it a “hybrid” tablesaw. Not enough hp to qualify as a larger cabinet saw but more than a contractor or job site saw. Other than there was a jet, looked like a planer maybe a planer/jointer, probably tops out about 6k new. The real surprise is why that dude didn’t build his own shed. Honestly not enough space to really run either of those machines. Guy is probably driving himself nuts rolling equipment around in there playing musical chairs to mill up any decent lengths.

    • @WatcherNine
      @WatcherNine 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Here's the trick: to build a shed/workshop you need a building permit, inspections, etc. and if you build it, it has to be a permanent structure. YOU can't build a temporary structure, you need a permit even for that. To get a shed, which is not considered a permanent structure, you put a down payment (or pay in full) and have it delivered and you're done. If the building comes in one big piece (or even 2 pieces) and can be picked up and moved again it doesn't need a building permit. If you do it yourself you wont get it half way built before the county/township comes and puts a work-stop / red tag injunction and/or fine on you and shut you down.
Yeah it's a scam, a scam by our local governments to suck you dry and make you comply.

Ya kinda need a 24x40 or a barn.
For what he spent on the 2 sheds he could have built a larger barn to fit his needs. Maybe a metal pole barn. Depends on rules in the area and lot size.

It amazes me how folks can’t budget their incomes. I would love to have this shed as a woodworking shop; I have a 12 x 16 barn-style shed. One roll-up door on the end and double doors on the side of the shed. I make it work. Then again, I paid in full. I don’t believe in leasing or renting. A mortgage on a house is different because you own it as long as you make payments. If you could haul that shed, I will send you my address.

Interesting, wonder how the law views the large shed. At what point does it stop being a mobile, movable collateral and becomes a fixed structure requiring more of an "eviction" then repossession. Obviously that family has something going on since you could sell just a couple of those larger tools and pay the shed off.

If you have it built onsite it's a permanent structure. Some define it further by having a foundation or permanently attached to one. If it's just sitting on a slab and not attached but you build it yourself, you need a permit to build it but it might not be a permanent structure. It's a bias against the property owners that needs to be fixed country wide. As it stands now it's kind of a scam being run by local governments. They literally make millions off permitting offices across the land, and that should not be.

Can't help but notice all the name brand equipment in there. No second hand items will do for this bad debt customer. Nope. 🙄

There are times when life hits you. All the comments on the cost of the tools in the shed and why someone can't currently pay for the shed. Let he without sin cast the first stone !

Exactly, who are we to judge? We have no idea what their circumstances are. it’s absolutely reprehensible that anyone would have the nerve to make up a story that this is why people are doing things the way they’re doing whatever it is they’re doing, has got to be wrong or they’re just poor. it’s not right!🤬 and it’s not the repo companies responsibility, they just pick up the shed and go.

i'm concerned that maybe the reason they stopped paying is that whoever lived there might be dead inside? with the car in the drive way like that and no one answering ?

The real question is... at the beginning you see a Mail man then like 5 mins later you see him, what's he doing?
