Pretty obvious what happened. A scuffle over treats, Dario was probably on her back and a bite from a dominant monkey intended for her hit him instead. Does he survive?
The bright orange one is her baby because JW saw her with that baby first. He doesn't know what happened to the other Mum. Maybe she abandoned her baby or was sick or died.
That mom constantly following her and being mean to her needs whapped! Little baby wants some corn and that’s mommas favorite. The closer you get might also draw more attention to her from other monkeys.
Looks like he was hit on his head with a sharp object. Wow, this mom's tuff, she jugles 2 active baby's and can't eat in peace. She too looks like she was hurt, like they tried to "tear" her mouth apart. Hat's off to this mom!
Poor little angel. At that age their skulls are soft not fully formed (they are so similar to us) and I hope it don't get too far. Momma will keep it clean. Its amazing how they con survive horrific wounds due to the constant grooming.... Some humans have yet to figure that out. 🙄🤦🏼♀️
It is a well demarcated hole, deep. the bones in the skull of this baby are not too thick so I believe there is bone loss there. it seems a fall on his head against a pointy rock that penetrated deep taking tissue and pieces of bone. now he seems well alert, and moving, and well coordinated.
OMGosh.... I hope these two sweet babies both make it! Such a sweet mother to continue to care for them both. As the babies grow it will be harder and harder for her to carry and keep them both near her. Thank you JW for updates on them. You and Arroz are the only monkey channels I watch..... keep up the good work.
The mom in the WLA WOODS REserve, she let her 2 babies, eat with her, but they very seldom got hands out, she taught her babies to live off the land. These babies only see that mom has food. They need to be handed something to, with her nursing 2 babies it would help if they could eat.
They would be attacked. People like you are the reason those in Cambodia are so messed up. Baboes are punished eating out if turn. Foodnbelings to adults. Qhen humans interfer it causes aggressions. Teacjs babies to not follownrules. Eventually troop will kill them ifnthey don't follow rules. And that means don't take the food offered by humans.
They may be different types of monkeys. The monkeys in Cambodia that most people watch exclusively (the Long-tailed Macaques) will not share food, even with their baby. They will take it from baby, make it regurgitate the food, even some will dig it from their mouth. Other types of monkeys such as Rhesus and Pigtail Macaques are more gentle, certainly less violent when it comes to their own baby and food. Another factor is that the WLA Mom and babies aren't being handed food like those Temple monkeys are. The WLA reserve encourages foraging and they are living in a natural habitat. The Temple monkeys are at times living on tile floors, man-made buildings and there is very little that is natural about any of it. It is actually very good that Mom has taught her babies so well. This will help insure a long life (although there are certainly no guarantees). They don't appear to have missed any meals. She is doing a very good job with them.
@@kiki29073 if they have food when mom has food and eats next to her, they are ok, but they can't be handed food by themselves as some VO'S hand feed them. She must not be of a lower rank or she couldn't be part of the first ones to get food. These babies are of the age that they need to start eating, she isn't a mom that shares. The baby with the hurt head must of tried to eat food that was in front of an adult and got bit. She is holding her babies when she gets food, if something they can hold is put in babies hands when she gets food, they would be safe. Not saying she wouldn't take the food away. But she can't eat it all at once. And the female at WLA mostly they don't feed the monkeys in the woods. Only special needs that are at their compound. The guy that was filming, did this on his own , his free time from work. He also at times brought her food, she had gotten real skinny. This breed of monkeys, is very rare to have twins. But despite what some say. There is caring loving females that will take in some other's baby and raise with theirs and raise it as their own. It is a baby from their group, mostly a close relatives, like mom, aunt, sister's baby. Also there is ones of long tail that do share their food. Even bringing food from their pouch and baby eats it from her mouth. There also Resses Macaques that don't share food and takes food out of their babies pouch and eats it. They all have different personalities, and some let their babies eat with them others don't in both of these breeds.
@@kiki29073 yes, I have always said that , of both breeds, mostly these men are feeding them ,out of their hand not giving the troop any. If the mother is holding her baby, and if each herself and baby, were handed food at the same time, according to their rank and when it is their turn for food, the baby eats with mom, all the other monkeys are eating. Then baby will not get hurt. If baby runs up to an adult or even a young monkey of higher rank and grabs food that is around the older, + higher rank. It will be hurt. The parent is the one that trains her baby. The baby is expected to run from people, not except food from them, stay by mom, these men even pick them up and feed them in front of the group. They know these babies are going to be beat up. They watch them get hurt. They even do it the next day with baby with bruises all over face and bit marks. They don't care. And baby is hungry. It is after they eat, they get beat. Their moms are not taking care of them. She should grab her baby and get it away from him. Even Resses babies are done the same way. Not in the areas of Honk Kong. But in other countries. And if that remark is made to me about people like you, is why Cambodia is like it is. You are the one that needs to do research, I am no way in agreement with Cambodia and those monsters the Vo's run things. Or the corrupt officers, forest service, or the government.
I noticed that she kept pulling her hands away when the babies would try to get a bite of bananas or corn. Is this because they are too young to eat solid food? I kept watching and. not once did they get a bite She is amazing how tender she is when she moving around with both babies. All and all she is good mom, it looks like she's keeping that wound clean and that is crucial to her baby's survival. Please keep us updated.. 💜🌸💜
Macaques have a feeding heirarchy. Babies eat LAST. They are getting milk, so it isn't necessary for them to eat solids yet. They are also HIGHLY competitive when it comes to food. Not honoring this heirarchy, is an offense which CAN be punishable by DEATH. It is necessary for her to teach this to her offspring early. For them to eat out of turn, ESPECIALLY in front of a higher ranking monkey can cause their death and for mom to be HARSHLY punished for not doing so. They aren't the smartest, imho, but they DO have a complex social order.

I'm just really curious! Thank you for the insight. It's appreciated. I enjoy speaking with humans of exceptional intelligence!! Gratitude from U.S!
There is a huge over-population problem with these things. And they are dirty and carry tons of diseases. Feeding them is just furthering the problem. Honestly the ones that are sick and injured should be humanely euthanized. And people should NOT keep them as pets. That's a huge no considering if you piss it off it can rip your throat out. How exactly were the females sterilized? Unless you are knocking them out and spaying them you can't be 100% sure they are really sterile.
@@breshannondevereaux7725 Yes!👍👍👍
@@vixxenreigns It was the MALES. 80% of them were castrated.
Fang bite? Aggressive male? Wild hog? Wild dog? Poor baby. She seems to be taking good care of it.
I adore moma monkey with messed up face. She seems to take wonderful care of her two little babies
She’s born with that deformity probably due to inbreeding.
His head doesn't look to bad, monkeys are very reseliant, and it will heal fast. It's a clean injury.
3:55 Tbh I'm surprised there's no sign of brain damage yet. That is a huge deep hole!!! Baby mknkeys are extremely resilient for sure!!!! Thanks for this great video!
These little guys are tough as nails and heal amazingly fast.
which is why they make excellent specimens for medical testing. Could get multiple tests on one baby monkey rather than just one and done!
That looks like a puncture wound, poor little baby~ it’s amazing how mom chomps on an ear of corn with her poor face all mangled like that!
How Dario is doing now. Is he okay/alive and the wound ist healed?
Dario is still kicking.
@@JWmonkeyhill 🥳
Awwwwww she loves her 💘 corn 🌽 😋baby wanted some to cute 😍 awwwww I see baby boy head is hurt wow tht was some hole in his head am gald he is ok tho.... I knw these old but am binge watching 👀 😅 lol thanks JW 😊
Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the video.🙂
He seems to be acting fine...hope it heals ok. Hope she keeps flies from it too...
Lucky for him that he has a good Mum and a special Guardian who looks after them. Thank you JW. 😇♥️🐒🐵
Both babies are so well behaved. Little Dario will heal up in no time. Probably skint on some of that fence or a tree limb.
is there any update on the hair lipped mother monkey with 2 babies? I would like to know if the baby with the hole in the head is doing better. Thank you very much
The babies look hungry
She only gave birth to one of them so may be struggling to produce enough milk
I can't watch her eat, it's like watching the Walking dead eat a arm.
Any idea what happened too this monkey? Facial injuries are horrible.
Yeah, she got the thick end of the ugly stick.
😂😂😂YESsSSS!!!
He looks alright tho ?
Wow they’re so adorable and she’s a really good mom
Pretty obvious what happened. A scuffle over treats, Dario was probably on her back and a bite from a dominant monkey intended for her hit him instead. Does he survive?
Dario is still kicking.
@@JWmonkeyhill that was a great answer! I'm new here and am impressed with your channel! I'll be back - spoken like the Terminator!!!
That would probably heal leaving a dent in his head.
Which baby is actually hers & what happened to the other baby's mom?
The bright orange one is her baby because JW saw her with that baby first. He doesn't know what happened to the other Mum. Maybe she abandoned her baby or was sick or died.
@@vg7735 Thanks for the information!!! I appreciate it.
Stay Safe!!! 💕
They wound looks nasty, but so far, Dario seems to be doing ok. Thank you, JW for the updates on this lovely family.
Coming back to this a yr later and look at them now..Ameia did a fantastic job with those two and her new baby..she is a truly an amazing monkey
That mom constantly following her and being mean to her needs whapped! Little baby wants some corn and that’s mommas favorite. The closer you get might also draw more attention to her from other monkeys.
Emma the way you constantly talk about hitting or doing violence to wild animals for acting like wild animals is gross.
Looks like he was hit on his head with a sharp object. Wow, this mom's tuff, she jugles 2 active baby's and can't eat in peace. She too looks like she was hurt, like they tried to "tear" her mouth apart. Hat's off to this mom!
Check with Arroz about camera. Do you know who he is?
Dario's brother, forgot name, seems to want real food for a long time now.
Brio
Ameia looks like she has been in many fights !! Her mouth is missing parts and she has scar's all over !! Poor thing !!
Молоком не наедаютбся ,уже пробуют грубую пищу,молодцы,маме тяжело прокормить двоих.Она такая худая,когда дети будут кушать сами,она поправиться.
Poor little angel. At that age their skulls are soft not fully formed (they are so similar to us) and I hope it don't get too far.
Momma will keep it clean. Its amazing how they con survive horrific wounds due to the constant grooming.... Some humans have yet to figure that out.
🙄🤦🏼♀️
That one baby is ready to eat food
He's just showing curiosity for what mom eats.
He acts like he's starving to death to me! 😱
R both of these babies hers??? Twins????
Wow, that is a bad wound. It's a wonder the baby is still alive.
Which baby is actually hers? First time on this site watch Arroz all the time
Brio, the bright color one.
Very sad to see
I can't tell if it is just skin or if it penatrated the skull
Это не кожа, это дыра в черепе 😮. Вообще не понятно как они выживают с такими ранами
JW. I realize it's only been a week, but is there any update on Dario?
And this is why they have a monkey problem. Feeding these greedy rats instead of letting them forage...
I'm glad she is eating a lot she needs to keep her milk up
It is a well demarcated hole, deep. the bones in the skull of this baby are not too thick so I believe there is bone loss there. it seems a fall on his head against a pointy rock that penetrated deep taking tissue and pieces of bone. now he seems well alert, and moving, and well coordinated.
OMGosh.... I hope these two sweet babies both make it! Such a sweet mother to continue to care for them both. As the babies grow it will be harder and harder for her to carry and keep them both near her. Thank you JW for updates on them. You and Arroz are the only monkey channels I watch..... keep up the good work.
Thanks for watching.
@kim mcdonald 👏👏👏
Baby monkey's don't get to eat like the big monkeys wow
If they are nursing, Mom eats all the solids cuz it turns into milk for babies. They look well feed & she doesn't appear to be weaning them.
That doesn’t look well in your picture at all. Ouch!!
How in the world did that happen?
I noticed that she kept pulling her hands away when the babies would try to get a bite of bananas or corn. Is this because they are too young to eat solid food? I kept watching and. not once did they get a bite She is amazing how tender she is when she moving around with both babies. All and all she is good mom, it looks like she's keeping that wound clean and that is crucial to her baby's survival. Please keep us updated.. 💜🌸💜
It’s because she’s making milk for them.
@@breshannondevereaux7725 Thank you for all the info, I did know about the hierarchy but for some reason, my brain didn't connect that bit of info. I'm going with the excuse that the injured baby had all my attention. lol but really thank you, it was very kind the way you answered my question nothing snotty and no sarcasm. 💜🌸💜

Why are there 2?
Oh my goodness 💔💔😭😭😭 poor Dario!! Im glad to see he is doing good. I wonder what happened to the little guy?
Thanks for dropping corn in my brain mom 🤣
Boris already that big?
how could a baby get a bite like that on the head???
Don't know what happened to it, but when kidnappers drag them to hell and back, they seldom get injured. The have heads like stainless steel.
lol Brio would rather have the sweet corn instead of the milk @ 7:47. And Dario prefers moms milk over the food. Poor thing. Must have been one nasty fight for mom and baby to be injured.
These monkeys are terrible to each other talk about mean Janet should come there
The mother looks bitten up on her face as well.
Mama looks very protective of her babies. Does she let them explore?
I didnt think macaques had twins
They aren’t twins, she adopted Dario shortly after she had her own baby
poor baby, I hope it heals well and it's covered. I can see bit marks on the other side too. It looks like some monkey had bite his head and broke his skull.
Brio is so aggressive and appears to think he is entitled.
How are they this week ?. Healed ?
Cane and Able 😵
Poor little guy I hope mom keeps it clean
This is where I don’t blame the mothers for kicking little babies off of her food! She needs that for all the milk they be constantly nursing from her!
Good Nite, they look like they just came out of battle.
I was watching arroz and he recommended for more of the twins to follow jw as he had more footage of them.
Dario? As in Dario Naharis?
Dario is healing looks like he fell or was bitten extremely hard. Poor Mom she's got a torn lip and twins to feed. Yikes...
I heard the glass break and expected Stone Cold. Instead I get a fucked up monkey.
