      🌼🐕💮Hello @clarkkegley greetings! :-) I just have to leave a comment here that I had to laugh so much,😅 and I am still laughing again and again about how you taught the listeners in another video, how can someone make himself adorable to others🤭...one point was you said "Do interesting shit" ! :-)🤣 haha..man your advices are really gorgeous, I love to listen to you, because you are really telling the interesting truth, you must be an awakened, because me as a human with supernatural powers and more wisdom, I am not bored, and that means a lot. Also you have a lot of humour, I like that! About that instagram and tic toc addiction you are absolutely right, me I also do not use any Meta options. Kind regards 🐦🌸🐕☀️💜

      Nobody talks about this!! I have much energy and I’m good at many things but I don’t have goals in life like there’s nothing that i want to dedicate my life to so it just makes me like “why am I trying hard for something I don’t want”

      @@루나-l4dexactly me! I’m not passionate about anything. I’m not depressed but I don’t have big goals. I feel like nothing is worth me working hard or chasing seriously. Maybe I’m just burnt out, idk. I wish I could find out if there’s something wrong or not everyone is meant to have burning desires!

    dude. i literally have been using your video on how to get more done in a week than most people do in a year. one of the things i had to stop doing was social media where i'm not actually learning something new, a skill, etc. i unfollowed all of those news pages on twitter/x. today i was in there looking for those news tweets manually when you said on this video that news is one of the time wasters. sigh. got me again. thank you.

    Hi Clark, I'm 18 years old and i think i should've watched this video earlier which actually would've made me better... Because i have wasted the whole year procrastinating and wasting time, when i should've focused more on my studies...After watching this video, i thinks its time for me to change and show myself what i can be... This is a promise to myself... Thank you so much man..,

    Hmmm… when you said “with commute time and meals 50h/week” felt unrealistic to me, especially for women who also have to spend time on hair, make-up, nails etc or people who live in big cities like London. So I decided to calculate my week (female student working part-time in London) and see how much time I have to spare. I did the math for both part-time and full-time.
    Work - 24h/40h
    Commute - 3x 3h/ 5x 3h
    Sleep - 7x 8h
    Getting ready for work (shower, hair make-up) - 3x 1h/ 5x 1h
    Prepare food - 7x (3x 30min)
    Eat food - 7x (3x 30min)
    Gym - 4x 1h (luckily my gym is 5min walk for me)
    Clean house - 1x 4h (including cleaning kitchen after cooking/dishes)
    Laundry - 2x 30min
    Other routine chores (bills, pet care, shopping, medical etc) - 5h
    Part-time worker - 41h without uni, 21h (max) with uni
    Full-time worker - 17h without uni, -3h with uni
    I did the math for both full-time and part-time workers in uni, because I have many colleagues in full-time jobs (not to mention some have children). The above math is for an average girl that barely works 24h/week. I mean… without adding extra stuff to “become a better self” I am already in burnout territory with such little time left to relax. I can’t see how this advice is viable for people in full-time jobs who are also parents. I think you need to revise your math and include essential things that one must do to exist (cleaning your space, shopping, cooking, taking care of pets/children, hair&make-up). I love your content, btw! This isn’t meant to be necessarily critical. Just not necessarily applicable for fem presenting people who live in huge cities and are also in higher education. (I mean if someone cooks and cleans for you, and you job is 15 min from your house, it’s spot on).

      Forgot to add SOCIALISING! Which is THE most important aspect of building a support network, which is the bare minimum for mental health. If you add 1h of socialising/day, you are left with barely anything!

    I struggle with this, as a parent. I go to bed at 9, wake up at 6 to get ready and leave for work, I get home at 4.. so between 4-9 is making dinner, baths, reading, and bedtime. Kids are in bed by 8:30, and I get 1/2 before I go to bed (so this would be shower time). Zero minutes left during the week. The weekend? Household chores (laundry, decluttering, dishes, clean bathrooms and floors, meal planning, grocery shopping), swimming lessons, birthday parties, making meals... I mean - am I out to lunch here? Is it just me?

    • @GM-ed7go
      @GM-ed7go 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      That's a tough one for parent's. I've been there. I've found that the key is to do something consistently over time. There are good suggestions in this video, but be careful with "targets" like you have 3300 hours of "free" time so you can find a 1000 hours to improve yourself. Maybe you really can't. But, you could probably find 100, 200 or 300 over the course of a year. Do that consistently for several years and you're ahead of 95% of the people out there. Also, leveraging technology can help. Listen to an audiobook while you're cleaning and cooking on the weekends for example. The other thing I would suggest is stop worrying about it. Worrying just adds stress and makes it harder to do what you want to do. I know, it's easy to say these things, but a lot tougher to do them. Take a baby step and feel good about taking it.

    • @Diacinth
      @Diacinth 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not realistic for students living in big cities with long commutes either. I did the math for my week and if I go back to working full time I am at -3h/week 😂

    If you do see this, I think I speak for a lot of people, the impact that you make on common individuals is incredibly insightful. I have been following your Channel for years and tend to hop on and hop off your videos, The advice you give is very helpful and when something sticks in my mind, I apply that to my own life, things go well and eventually, life happens and I end up back onto your channel. I want to say the content you make is very good, I think we as individual consumers cannot be that consistent with your post because we apply the advice you give to our own lives. The time example is beautiful, the amount of content you post is amazing and I feel like when I have some type of problem in my life, I can look at your channel for help because you have a whole record of things about life. Life is hard and with your channel, you have guided me to understand things I wouldn't have on my own without you. Regards, I appreciate and am glad that I have found your channel. With this video, I am applying it to my own life Thank you!

    Me, personally, would add to that list alcohol/parties, cause steals not only from your own time but also from your sleep time, plus the time you spend next morning getting rid of the hangover.
    It's cool hanging out with your friends but alcohol and parties are going to burn your time and money.

    Kind of curious here, what would you say to artists like us who need to post consistently on Instagram & TH-cam? We do it because we want to bring value to people with our music and at the core we need to make music because that's the thing that keeps the fire burning for us. Although the reality is that we also need to use social media to promote ourselves and put ourselves out there because we also need to make money from it.

    Passive context switching is an interesting concept. I’m glad you pointed that out, as I’d never heard of that before.
    It’s not us switching from working on one thing then trying to get INTO a completely different thing. It’s the CONTENT we’re consuming that is switching our context.
    That it would also have a cost to our ability to focus makes sense. Even passively, our brains are working to understand.

    I usually waste 1000-1500 hours with commuting, grocery shopping, cooking/ eating, hygiene.
    If I add sports to keep healthy/fit that would be around 2000. So in total we are talking about 1300 hours in which the body and mind is already tired (after work, weekend is different).
    If I want to create something new I ususally cut down on sport and sleep - but that only works in the short run...

It doesn’t take time to occasionally, actively, learn about politicians that you can actually vote for (do something about). Why would we consume so much news when it’s all things we can’t control.

    Sure, if you’re a selfish person can only invest time on yourself but surely nobody will cook 4 for children, taking care of daily business, keeping the house on fire and so on!
