So I played through Undertale about two weeks ago. I'm going to go more into detail about my thoughts on it in the description of my next video, but for now I'll just say that I really enjoyed it. The music is superb and it inspired me to cover a few tracks. I've got three or four in mind that I want to do and I'll probably spread them out over the next couple of months. I promise not to go full RichaadEB on you guys ; )
I actually had a different one planned for this week, with lyrics, but I managed to catch the flu over the weekend. So in my fevered haze, I was goofing around with the shop theme on my guitar and came up with this. I really love the shop music and found myself using any excuse to stop by the various shops around the game world just to hear it.
I kind of just wanted to do something fun and straightforward this time around. Plus, it's been a while since I made an O'Reilly cover (do it live!) and I like to do one of those every now and then. I think the last time I did one was the Save Hut piano video.
You know what wasn't fun? Trying to get a good take of me playing this arrangement, haha. I tend to make my guitar arrangements a lot harder than they need to be and end up struggling with playing them. I eventually lost count, but it was at least 50 takes. This was the best one and there are STILL a couple flubs here and there.
I might do a full cover in the future with more instruments because I enjoy this theme so much.
The other reason that I made this is I wanted to test out this new mic that I got and see how it handles recording acoustic guitar solo. I learned that it's not the most ideal mic for that as it's intended more for vocals. It sort of has a 'hollow' sound when recording my guitar. Next time I might try to combine it with my SM57 and see if I get a better result.
Anyhoo, I'll probably do one more Undertale cover right after this one then at the end of the month I'm planning on doing a brand new Zelda cover with lyrics! Should be a good one if it all comes together.

Holy crap, I don't know much about the undertale track, but this should have been in the actual game. There's such a unique tamber in the way you voiced those chords. Amazing job. Feels very Bossa Nova-ish. :)

Lovely cover, found your tutorial right now and I'm trying to learn it.
I imagine this playing inside either the Snowdin store or Gerson's shop. In the case of the former, it brings to mind the light interior, nice and warm with the shopkeep's friendly face--the perfect place to go to get away from the cold. For the latter, it reflects Gerson's relatively laid-back nature and, in a way, a sense of looking back on the past. In either case, wonderful work--promise you'll keep us little buddies in mind when you make it big.

Was busy working on a cover for this song on rhodes and piano, and wanted to see if anybody else did a cover for this, and turns out someone did, and did very well at it. :-)
This is surprisingly easy compared to the Asgore Theme. I learned this within 2 days, when it took me 2 weeks to master the Asgore Theme. Love your work so much! Theres 1 little Mistake in the Tabs. Cant describe in English where though :D

my sister got a guitar for christmas, and ive always wanted one- i play the ukulele too. once i got to hold hers and touch it it really magnified my love for guitars. i pulled from my savings and itll be coming very soon ! once i get it im also gonna get a capo ! i want to get one mainly so i can play arrangements like this one. ive been using my sisters guitar and i have a long way to go- but, im catching on and i hope to learn to play this as soon as im at a level where its possible !
