I'm sure she has AMAZING skin, but can we be honest with how strong the blurring filter is on Bailee's video? Just a reminder that we all have beautiful skin that has texture and pores and redness and blemishes. Even celebrities are human

its mad isnt it? you can’t normally see them that well but woah that filter was jumping around all over the place. It’s a wonder harper’s were happy enough to release this when it is SO obvious 🤷‍♂️

I feel bad for gen z. I grew up with those disposable cameras in my youth. No touch up, no nothing. If you looked like crap, you just tore the picture up lmao. But gen z celebrities seem to be all about the filters/photoshop/selfies. It must warp their self worth. The girl in this video is clearly already beautiful and didn’t need a Vaseline-on-the-lens effect. Not sure why one was added.

@luckyDancer100 hah I loved disposable cameras. They’re so fun. I agree about filters. I’m in my early 30’s and have never used filters (unless it’s the silly ones) or facetune type things. I think it has too much potential to mess with peoples confidence in themselves.

Cassandra i cannot believe you never came across Recherche biologique before. its like the European Obagi of 90s. that P50 toner is expensive but back in the day it was one of the best things for acne. is has super strong smell. here are all thr ingredients: Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Phenol, Niacinamide, Vinegar (Acetum), Ethoxydiglycol, Magnesium Chloride, Lactic Acid, Arctium Lappa Root Extract, Salicylic Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Sulfur.

It would be nice to see these videos not use a filter and show what the benefits actually are. I guess it's not enough even with the most perfect skin. Also there were I guess post inflammatory pigmentation or something showing just few frames after using the pimple patch under the right eye. This just makes me sad.

A couple of things whilst watching this video.
    1. 100% there are filters on the video. The mask is so blurry at times.
    2. Cassandra reacted to Samara Weaving and she uses the Biologique line
    3. This routine sounds mega expensive as that Biologique is a fancy skincare line

As a molecular biologist, I don't think those products that contain nucleic acids and lipsomal RNA are going to penetrate into the skin cells without a delivery mechanism that opens up the cell membranes by either chaning the charge of the membranes or creating pores in the membranes. Also, that DNA and RNA will likely get degraded by the DNases and RNases found in our skin.

I can't believe you don't know about Recherche Biologique. Lotion P50 is so strong that it numbs your face for a few minutes and it has a very distinctive smell, like tempera with sulphur and horseradish. I love it for my acne! I think that's why my face can withstand anything due to the strong acids.

I SWEAR by the lotion P50 1970V! It’s the only exfoliator that cleared the clogged pores on my forehead. I also was introduced to it from rescue spa! It is pricey, the full size is $120 but it lasts a very long time. It’s pretty strong, so I used to dilute it with some water, but now I just use it as a treatment every other day. Warning, it smells like vinegar, but I’ve been using it for so long that I’m used the the smell 😅

    • @NancyJulien
      @NancyJulien ปีที่แล้ว +1

OMG I can relate to the traffic jam filled pores so much! Especially in my youth (like 13-17), uuf, terrible time! I tried everything there was on a CZ and EU market for acne and pore declogging, including super suspicious DYI face stuff (all hell broke loose too). And all that just to figure out I had hormonal disbalance the whole time.
Currently a big admirerer of anything with ceramides and salicylic acid. And I couldn't be happier. Also less pore cloggery afoot!

I’ve purchased from Rescue Spa. Their prices are standard for Biologique. The P50 toner is [edited x 2] 1.7 ounces for $34, 5.1 ounce for $72, and the 8.4 ounce for $109. I forgot the exact price. The toner smells terrible but really is fantastic for me. I can email the ingredients, prices, and claims if you would like.

I've shopped on that website a few times and they do tell you the price and ingredients but you have to create a free account and login. Not ideal but not behind a paywall or anything. Shop Rescue Spa's website is also 100x better than the actual Bioloique Recherche website. The brand's actual webstie doesn't even list the igredients 🙄 (or if it does, it's not easy to find). Personally, I LOVE BR's P50 lotion. It clears any breakouts I have within a day or two :)

Not sure if you'll see this, but as someone who loves K-beauty as well I'm curious about the Medicube Red Cleansing Oil! I've been OBSESSED with Purito From Green Cleansing Oil for (at least) two years. It lasts forever and is so great at removing sunscreen and makeup on my dry, sensitive skin during my double cleanse routine. BUT, as someone that's always trying to save a little here and there how do you think the ingredients compare? I would love a Purito review/lineup/routine if you need *even* more ideas for videos!! xx

I too REALLY like the wind-down of my nighttime rituals, where I take care of my skin. Sure, it can take while, but it really helps me turn off my ADD brain a bit - so I can fall asleep with less mind-racing. I like to get off of any/all screens and turn the lights down really low, at least an hour before I want to lie down. If I don't, I get insomnia. Doing my skincare/shower rituals at night helps fill up that hour without my phone or computer, as well and taking the time to calm down from the day and pamper a bit. I not only helps my get my best skin, I helps me sleep, which also helps my skin, and my energy...like what is the opposite of a downward spiral? All helps me do, and look my best.

Cassandra, I had no idea you have clinical anxiety! I'm kind of newish. So I don't know if you've said you have it in previous videos. I have depression but I suffer a lot from anxiety. It's so bad that I can't work full time anymore. I feel that "healthy" minded people with no mental disorders have No idea what we go through on a regular basis. I have a pretty good AM and PM routines. I would love to FaceTime somebody while we both do our night time skin care routine! You would be proud of my nighttime routine because, out of necessity, it's budget friendly. I also watch Dr. Idriss so I do my nighttime routine at 4ish pm so the products can get soaked in and not rub off on my pillow. I usually eat dinner early around 5ish. That's why I do my pm routine so early.

6:11 this is what I keep commenting on. People only make references to people who just use a makeup wipe and done. Some of us use an oil to melt our makeup first, then use the wipe to remove most of the oil with the gunk and then actually thoroughly wash our face with a foaming cleanser. They might not be eco friendly but these experts need to stop assuming that everyone uses wipes the same way.
