I like how you are using the old steam generator to weigh down the lid on the steamer you built 🤣. Thanks for the update!

The sides of the hoppers are reinforced so you can set a bag up there and cut the side to dump it out. That's how we do it, and it makes it so we don't have to fight to pull the bags out of the hoppers while loading. But it's whatever you want to do.

If I ever have to do it again I'll be sure to do it that way and act like I knew that all along.

I agree with you on all points. I obtained Thor 2.0 recently and easily adjusted my bag substrate volume to make smaller blocks (i.e., 5#), allowing for easier lifting and movement of bags, due to a back injury I deal with.
Very very little is spilled ( after 90 bags, typically see a couple of pellets and a little dust.)
Easy to maintain and I anticipate that the wooden components and some plastic tubing may require eventual replacement (in a few years).

I was waiting for that video, thank you very much! Is Thor close to the barrel? I am wondering if heat could have negative effects.

It's about 10 feet from the barrel. There's good enough airflow underneath the work space so I get away with it since it's outside. But you're right it could happen. Good catch 👍

It's definitely expensive for the smaller farmer like myself, but Eric's bagger is great too. I'd love to have one someday.
