Building a Homemade Post Hole Auger; Will It Work?

In this video I work on a custom built / homemade post hole auger for the 843 Bobcat. It was originally fabricated in a previous video and melted down after attempting to drill a single hole. Can I salvage the effort put into this project to make this unit functional and proceed with our fence building project?
