    The size of that derelict ship’s innards is vast. Truly jaw dropping.

    Ash shutting down Ripley is sus, this is when his tension with Ripley started - this tension intensifies as the film goes on, which led to him ultimately trying to choke her to death with a magazine.

      Exactly.
      And with hindsight Ash actually slips up a bit here. After he says “what’s the point?” he realizes that he revealed a bit too much of his true intentions so adds the bit about them already knowing if it was a warning or not by the time Ripley could get there.
      Then you can see him sigh and wipe his brow with relief when Ripley decides to stay.

    Alien 1979 upscaled to 4K from the Blu-ray version, with no DNR used. Edited and color graded in HDR and Dolby Vision. Although TH-cam currently doesn't support Dolby Vision, the video is HDR compatible. If TH-cam ever supports Dolby Vision in the future, this video should play in Dolby Vision as intended.
    - Watch in HDR for best results! Watching this in SDR may produce colour inaccuracies due to the way TH-cam converts HDR to SDR.

    The beginning of the end of the Nostromo crew. A sign that they never should have flown here and accepted that order from WeyYu. Nostalgia. 😱☠️👽

      W-Y knew about this place to begin with. Their fates were already sealed the instant the company issued the order.

    When I look back on this scene again after all these years, it dawned on me, that blue mist/field that covers the eggs, I bet that field was in place to detect movement and it would alert the pilot to a breach VS causing one of the eggs to hatch.
    I think the egg only hatched because he was so close to it (and touched it, the idiot lol).

    • @DLordSadow
      @DLordSadow 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

      I believe that blue mist defined the edge of a stasis field that kept the eggs inactive as well as preserved. When Kane reached for the egg, he disrupted the field, allowing the egg to come to life and spring a face hugger at him.

    • @Nicolas88814
      @Nicolas88814 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      @@DLordSadow Correct. I think this theory makes more sense rather than something that would have alerted the crew of a possible breach or motion. Nothing placed by thar crew would have lasted that long since the body was fossilized indicating that a long time had already passed. Also to be noted is the steam oozing out of random spots (most likely attached by the aliens) to keep the eggs in a tropical like environment for their preservation.

    Does Kane ACTUALLY SLIP? Or did something else happen when he passed through that layer of light? 🤯🤔

    • @SergeiKraven
      @SergeiKraven หลายเดือนก่อน

      The layer of light was a stasis to preserve them from detecting any organic movement. When Kane came in contact with the mist, it disturbed the eggs and targeted Kane as a suitable host, that's why the organic life as Kane mentioned latched into him when the egg hatched, it was able to perceive Kane as a prey to impregnate him with the Alien parasite.

    What I always wanted to know is where did all the eggs come from
    And how did they get on the ship.

      There was a hole in Jockey's (engineer) chest. So it's possible that a deacon (xenomorph) was born from Jockey. Maybe it was even deacon-"queen". But if so the question is who impregnated Jockey. Too many questions.

    • @DarkCyberElf
      @DarkCyberElf หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Based on the nature of the layout of this area of the ship, the eggs are clearly there as a sort of "payload" of the derelict (as a nice parallel to the Nostromo's own payload). The eggs are likely being transported en-masse somewhere, the purpose for which could be for militaristic or scientific reasons, or a purpose yet not understood. If the company (Weyland-Yutani) knew in advance the ship contained an organism that might be practically useful (as a bioweapon or as an object of study), that also means there must have been some information that had reached them in time prior that told of these creatures (xenomorphs) or alternatively, the race that created or was transporting them.
      The eggs were almost certainly 'laid' by something (not necessarily a Queen Xenomorph, but perhaps in the '79 lore, something very much unlike the xenomorph much like the facehugger stage), but judging by the deleted cocoon scene, could have also been created through an osmosis-like process that simply repurposed biomatter to develop into them.

      I always wanted to know where the ship came from and how it ended up on that planet. Plus everything is old. How did the eggs survive for that long..There are only eggs and no aliens..

      @@underdoge8338 This. The mystery has not been solved for 45 years (Prometheus and Covenant only screwed up as prequels) and it's better that way.
