I agree with the comments. The quality has really gone down, and I really loved the smaller kits you could get and take with you to school. The detail of the old ones were great, and paint jobs were much better. Time to find my small stash of them in storage. "Remember if it doesn't say Micro Machines, it's not the real thing!" Ah, childhood memories.

They look different than the originals for sure, but the quality is very good. They are selling at Walmart right now for $5 per pack, with 4 packs to collect. I bought 2. I like them, not as much as the originals, but I like them.
Just bought my son a 15 pack and although slightly different to the old ones they are still very cool and good quality and will go alongside original micro machines flawlessly
This is interesting. I didn't realize there was a genuine reboot going on. I saw a few of the old originals mixed in there with some of the displays and the new ones look way different and out of scale in comparison. I think I'll stick to collecting the original 1980s and early 90s Micro Machines.
They are at Walmart right now! I just picked up the Race Transport and Construction sets ($5 each) but they also have the Muscle Car and Farm sets. If you're still wanting to collect them.

@@WarhammerWings Licensing has nothing to do with it. When Hasbro brought back the line in 2003 they mainly used fictional cars. They were still acceptable as they brought continuity of the old brand. They reused the old wheels and they were the same SCALE. These not only look cheap and incredibly childish but are over-sized next to the old lineup. They're making a huge mistake as most of the market will be people old enough to remember the old brand. Their marketing department is clueless.
Why has nearly every single vehicle got hotted up wheels/rims?? From old dump trucks to sports cars. Looks ridiculous & lazy to use the same wheels on nearly all the vehicles from different era's. The play sets look cool though.

They seem to be at least double the size of the originals which is already a major design mistake. It might as well be a whole new product as there is no continuity whatsoever, not even in size!
They are not the same size, the display has a mix of 90's original and new castings and the new ones are double the size, also the wheels are huge. At 1:42 you can see how big they are next to the persons fingers.

“ITS NOT THE REAL THING!”, dont care for the new ones, i have a nice vintage collection with some rare cars, compared them to these and its a no go, cant duplicate the original 💪🚘
I had the originals as a kid. The wheels on the new ones and the size difference is killing it. I bought one for my son but I am hoping they make a better effort on the next run. The fact there are chase pieces is screaming for the collectors to get on board, but they make them cheap looking. The collectors are the route they should have gone. We have more money to spend on them. Maybe they should start a club like hot wheels/ Mattel did and sell the higher end ones to the collectors. call it the nostalgic series...:)
I haven't seen the "Mystery Vehicle" here in the UK yet, maybe they're coming later this or next year? All the sets let alone those shown are out in the UK already and haven't even seen any in the US according to eBay
Fail at an attempt at a larger audience. But I will grasp the attention of little kids which I suppose is their goal but they would of made more grabbing the attention of collectors
These are looking pretty neat so far. The only downsides I can notice is that most can’t seem to tell if the vehicles in this relaunch are licensed and that they apparently aren’t as detailed compared to the original releases (it’s kinda been a while since I’ve seen an original up close, so I’m not completely sure on that part).
If you knew anything about cars you would noticed none of them are licensed. And here you are admitting you haven't seen the old ones in a while when there are old ones in the video. You're either a troll or completely ignorant.
They're coming out this fall. Hopefully massive change will be made. If they were smart they'd make them so you couldn't tell the old ones from the new.

And what is the deal with all the bright colors on everything. I don't know that I've ever seen an orange road before.

Nope fail. Just as I expected them to be when they first announced revamp of the line. Less detail than the originals, larger size, larger wheels, no licensed makes or models, bland paint work, and a ridiculous price tag on every vehicle pack and the play set. I'll continue to stick with collecting the originals. Look at how much better the originals at 2:10 and 3:07-3:15 look than the new ones, they blow them completely out of the water in every way possible. Which also makes me wonder what the consumers looking at this thought when seeing the new next to the old where the old product looks better than the new?? LOL This is like Hotwheels Planet Micro all over again, but even those had better overall detail than these
