Is Leticia place safe enough for a single tourist which not speak portuguese ?
Also I would like to know if Leticia is expensive for 10 days ? I mean in euros approximatively

Hola vale! Thank you for your kind words!
Well, in leticia you don’t need Portuguese, they speak Spanish (and very little English in some places if you are lucky) , even though you don’t speak the local language you will be fine using an online translator (I’ve seen many people doing that).
I see you want to spend 10 days in Leticia. To be honest there is not much to do or see in Leticia, so I wouldn’t spend all that time there. If you go up north following the river you’ll find more interesting places and indigenous communities that will make your stay more memorable!
Unfortunately you’ll have to stick with yours and guides to move around and this can be expensive if you are not careful.
I stayed in that area for 2 weeks and I spent on average EUR42 per day (all expenses or tour included), to give you a rough idea… but I travel very cheap … 😁

I would always go during low season to find less tourists, doesn’t matter if it rains or not (even in the drier season you’ll have big thunderstorms)… you’ll find many more tourists in august (it’s holidays in Europe so many Europe as go there) and the Christmas period obviously.

Ciao ! Tutti dipende da come vuoi viaggiare. Io viaggio con uno zaino e poche cose… ovviamente sei nell’amazzonia quindi porta cose comode e leggere perché c’è molta afa. Scarpe da trekking sicuro se vuoi fare attività in giro perché c’è molto fango e cammini nella foresta … Dipende anche da quanto tempo vuoi restare lì. Il vaccino per la febbre gialla il l’ho fatto ma non me l’hanno chiesto. Se hai domande più specifiche fammi sapere :)

Hey! Thanks for the question ! When you are in Leticia and want to move around the three borders you will not get stopped and checked by immigration. It’s a very interdependent area,everyone is free to get in and out at any moment … no need to pay anything :)
