    Absolutely love your whisper I can’t get enough!! Also such a sad case, it’s devastating how common it is for victims of abuse who are suffering from mental illness to be incarcerated or worse when what they really need is treatment and support before the cycle of violence is repeated 💔

      Completely agree. If the proper intervention had been done early in Lisa's life, both her and her victim would be alive.

    Thanks for the video. I saw a comment where someone said capital punishment is revenge, not justice, and I think about that comment a lot in relation to this case.

    I do feel terrible about the torture the murderer was subjected to during her childhood, it was truly awful, and yes her abuse matters, but that doesn’t make her crime any less heinous to the victim or the victims family. Hold the people who abused the murderer accountable for their actions. It doesn’t mean the victim suffered less because her murderer is insane. I know this is an unpopular viewpoint, but I never understand how people feel insane people shouldn’t be held as accountable as a “non insane” person ( I think anyone who kills someone in cold blood has to be some kind of insane IMO). No one has to discount her childhood abuse to still say she has to be held accountable for the unthinkable cruelty she inflicted upon an innocent woman. If we go down the road of saying anyone who had abusive childhoods is given a pass, then that is in turn invalidating the pain of the innocent victim. Doing that would be saying their pain didn’t matter. I think our culture is going in the wrong direction of championing criminals and spending time, money and energy to excuse or downplay their behavior instead of putting efforts to champion the VICTIMS. How do y’all think the victims family feels when they see all this outpouring of support for the woman that cut their daughter apart?

      I totally understand your viewpoint and I always appreciate how you present your takes on my videos! I knew this would be controversial. I just want to point out that I don't believe she should be excused. I believe she shouldn't have been executed due to her mental state during the murder and while she was in prison. I think her lawyers had a strong case that wasn't properly heard because of Covid-19.
      Again. Always appreciate you and your opnions/thoughts and sharing them!

      The Covid part is surely true, so many important issues have been neglected because of Covid.
      I just personally don’t believe mental issues should be a disqualification for certain types of punishment, one reason being the insanity plea can be easily abused, and the other being that the victim suffered no less because the murderer was mentality ill, therefore they should have justice for their pain.

    • @samisampleasmr4931
      @samisampleasmr4931  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I respect your opinion, but respectfully disagree with your idea of justice, but I still appreciate you and hear you!

      I am passionate about this topic because of my personal life experiences. I appreciate you being open to dialogue, many times when people disagree they shut down, so thank you for that.
      I have a family member who was followed outside of a bar and ran off the road and shot ten times over a simple disagreement. The murderers lawyer claimed his was “mentally ill” so he received an extremely short prison sentence for a completely senseless crime.
      That left us as the victims family feeling violated a second time, like our pain didn’t matter, only the murderers pain mattered.
      On the flip side, I had a childhood friend whose family abused her physically, sexually, and verbally and was failed by the CPS and the justice system, she ended up in Texas Youth Corrections for trying to run away so many times. I did everything I could to help her get her life turned around when she got out, but she didn’t want the help. She went on to be part of a string of several violent crimes, and even though I loved her and knew the abusive childhood she had, I still felt she needed to be sentenced the same as any other criminal, because the victims deserved that much.
