- Here is a video dedicated to my 2001 kawasaki kx100 that i converted to look like a 2014-2021. This conversion is not difficult to accomplish as you can see in the video. Starting with a good running 2001-13 that has good parts is the best way to start. my kx100 had almost nothing. This was not only a conversion but also a restoration. Hope this helps. Not with the new plastics. Buy a IMS big tank.
I converted my 92 100 to kx85 plastics before 2015 it’s now onto its 22 plastics 😂 frame and engine numbers from 92 😎
That bike has lived many lives!

will 2014 and newer tank fit an 01-13 kx85 frame? and are the kx100 and kx85 frames the exact same just a bigger size piston?
Thanks for the comment, yes, the tanks are a direct swap. The frames between 85 and 100 are the exact same.

@@tylerchambers5077 I agree, I found my seat second hand and the tank from IMS. I think i paid around $200 for each and had to put a seat cover on the used seat. I think the seats are expensive because no aftermarkets make seat pans so you are stuck going oem and the 14+ bikes haven't been parted out like the 13 and older bikes because they are too new.
Dose the 2021 side panel fit right on the bike or do you have to weld?

could you frame swap it? would it fit the older moter and triple clamps?
I am not 100% sure. i believe the 14-21 engine is a little different.
