- This is the Super Hard ending of Panel De Pon (w/o continues) on the English translation hack of the game.
There is a small graphical error at the begining of the vid as the sprites aren't updated on the very first frame (Lip doesn't appear and Thanatos' head wasn't updated). Therefore you'll briefly see Windy beneath it. I don't know how to solve this problem however... zSNES always seems to do this with recording videos :(

Tetris Attack may have been a copy of Panel De Pon but Tetris Attack had some tweaks and improvements.
all of the translations are different so I figure the ending is open to interpretation.
Yes, I know that. There was quite a debate on this matter on several messageboards with people who know their Japanese much better than I do and the conclusion was that the names were (deliberate) mistranslations.

Glad to hear what they're finally saying after beating through SHard mode so many times and just making it up in my head. This version of the game really is more fun than Tetris Attack.

OK now I see why they replaced the fairies with Yoshi's Island characters.
Japanese games often have these names changed. Think of "Victoly" messages in certain games. That's why I changed the names of Sharbet -> Sherbet, Seren -> Selene, Sanatos -> Thanatos and Corderia -> Cordelia.

@PsychoDave02 I had that experience with Bowser on Super Hard Mode and man was it brutal.

Just let the title screen play for like 5 minutes. They'll appear eventually (this also works in TA).
Oops, I forgot how atrocious that one of my ideas sounded. What I had meant to say is that I would like to have panels that would take out other panels in a certain radius, or the square area, like, say a three panel by three panel area of so, thus it removes nine panels from the playing field that form a huge square. I would also love to see linking panels that could use colors to form large panels like in Bombliss/Sparkliss (from Super Tetris 2 and 3, respecitvely. What do you think, sir?
I would like to see things such as online AND offline multi-player features (up to eight people at once), the inclusion of Miis as characters (like they do with New Super Mario Brothers U), and new panels such as panels that remove a line, panels that remove a certain area, panels that take out all of a certain color on a board (like some pieces do in Zoop and Magical Drop), panels that link together to take out other panels (like in the Super Tetris and Magical Drop games),...
Sweet they used the encounter music in the match on the JP version. Much, much better then the Bowser music.
That's what happens when Nintendo of America acts too narcissistic. We get a lot of important stuff cut out.
I will agree about Lip being a playable character (but Cordelia or Thanatos would have also made for awesome additions and ditto for, of all people, Popeye and Bluto), but to be honest, I do not see any problem with Lip and company being in competition with Yoshi and company. To be honest, they need to add some serious upgrades to the Panel De Pon series to make things more interesting, too.
@DarkLinkNA16 XD Speaking of which, Yoshi Tetris should've been the name, it's impossible to look up sometimes witrhout finding ALL the new releases of normal tetris x.x
...and panels that, when put into a five panel configuration once or more times, would get rid of all of the panels that are on the screen, even garbage panels (kind of like some pieces do in Zoop). Of course, I am not sure how Intelligent Systems Co. Ltd. and Nintendo Co. Ltd. would like my ideas but that is just me.

I prefer the Popples Fairies over the Yoshi's Island characters, also, i would wanted to see Lip (or Furil) as a playable character in Brawl.

I like this version a little better and I don't like it a little. I think the reason they changed this is because it was girly, and would scare away the male puzzle gamers of the US, like myself.
But, the way the battles were done, such as the nonstop of the panic tune of each level after the battle is over, instead of the stop and then have that slightly annoying tune start each time. I also like the different garbage blocks for each character, adding to their originality.
Wow, that's it? I was about to beat Hard with no continues, but after seeing this, it's not really worth the effort.

If that happened, I'd get it, because I loved Tetris Attack as a kid and still do.
They have Puyo Puyo 2 on VC already.
There would have been a LOT of problems, and the items and when she hits the screen, the water wouldn't help much, either.

It’s a shame that Panel de Pon never saw a Western release in its original state. I think it could have gained a niche following.
The ponified very would have worked very well. Most of the stuff of the Japanese version is brought back other than the difficulty and one stage changed to a daytime sky setting for Celestia. Discord gets the Goddess battle theme as the final boss theme and it's also his encounter theme.

You mean "Male American Video Gamers" Since Panel De Pon had Female Fairies that Males were still afraid of seeing "or else it would of ended up on the Games for Girls Section" but hey, that's just how the cookie crumbles in Localization.
It would be great if somebody ponified Panel De Pon with My Little Pony Characters. The game is a romhack of Panel de Pon but it is in English and all the playable characters are the main 6 and the Cutie Mark Crusaders. The main six is Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie. The Cutie Mark Crusaders is Applebloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle.
