The fact he tied your shoe for you, what the freaking heck, you guys are SO adorable 💗 I can't wait to see you read these books and your reviews of them 🫶📚
SARA. I saw someone do a prompt jar to choose tbr. Like they wrote “a book with a name in it,” or “a book with the word you in it.” That would be so fun to see from you!!
Chris really is king of judging a book by its cover LMAO! i hope you like the mortal instruments (the first two are the least favs but it gets better i promise) can’t wait to hear your thoughts on miss daisy haites 2!!!
When you said you didn't retain anything from your childhood, I laughed SO hard. I went to a Wizard of Oz play a few nights ago - it was like a whole new story for me. 😂
This is such a good selection! The best way to read cassandra clare books is the order she suggests, you can find it online, but starts off with.. city of bones, city of ashes, city of glass, then, clockwork angel, cw prince, cw princess, then, city of fallen angels, city of lost souls, city of heavenly fire.... the order she suggests allows no spoilers as the worlds cross over quite a bit
I don't know why but after the trip you did with the girls, now when you mention your bf all I can think is when destiny said you have the healthiest relationship she has ever seen hahahahah cute!!! he picked good ones, it's cute how he was judging from the covers 🤍
I recommend reading the infernal devices first !! At least before city of heavenly fir which is the last book in the mortal instruments.. the infernal devices is soooo much better in my opinion and the romance is just a chefs kiss
Omg! So my husband and I are reading the Witcher series together right now and I’m reading throne of glass & will be rereading ninth house next so I can read hellbent! April looks good!!
I think it's so dang sweet how willing he is to 1. Be in the video and 2. Pick books for you. Some guys (not all) show no interest in their woman's hobbies or make fun of it. Chris seems like a cool guy. And this video was so fun to watch.
I’m so freaking excited for you to read The Mortal Instruments. You’ve definitely started in the right place. I’d recommend publication order for Cassandra Clare books. You get the most out of the series that way. I didn’t get some references reading all 6 The Mortal Instruments books before starting The Infernal Devices. Google is your best friend for these book orders and I’d definitely recommend reading the side books too. They add a lot
i was hoping he would pick ninth house because it’s one of my favorites and the cover is cool so i got so excited when it actually happened. can’t wait to see the reading vlog and i hope you enjoy all your reads!
I genuinely LOVED this woven kingdom soo much! At first it was quite slow paced but it picked up and I cannot wait to read the next one!!! Love ur vids ❤
The infernal devices, the infernal devices, the infernal devices ahhhhh I’m so excited for you to get into it hopefully. It’s way better than the mortal instruments series but yeah clockwork angel the first book has nearly 1 million good reads reviews and 4.3/5 ❤️❤️❤️
Hey Sara! i have been reading a book series that is fantasy romance and I am obsessed! The Crave series by Tracy Wolff! The books are sooooo good and get better and better as you get more connected to the characters!
the blood of elves (witcher book) is the official first book but there are 2 prequel bind-ups of short stories called the last wish & the sword of destiny that it's recommended you read first!
if u like marissa meyer or want a book recommendation, the renegades series by her is a great sci-fi ish book. actual enemies to lovers, character building, romance is the subplot but the best part. it’s just so good, major recommendation of mine!
Heartless is SO good!! (I didn’t know anything abt Alice in wonderland either). I also loved This Woven Kingdom but haven’t read the second one that recently came out
For the witcher you got the first book in the series (blood of elves) but the one you should read first is the last wish. I loved the witcher and I hope u like it too!
I'm in the middle of The Serpent and The Wings of Night, AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH. it definitely has more action than ACOTAR I think but I loved that too so...
I LOVE the Witcher books but Blood of Elves is technically the third book as there are 2 short story collections that come before it which sets up the world, introduces the characters and sets up the magic system (kinda like a prequel). “Blood of Elves” is the first novel of the series if that makes sense…So the author writes ‘blood of elves’ kinda presuming the reader has already read the first two and already has a rough idea of what’s going on. You can still read ‘Blood of Elves’ first, but I did find it helped to read the short stories first! If your interested the first one is called ‘The Last Wish’ and the second is ‘Sword of Destiny’. Happy reading! ❤ (Also the covers you have in US are so much nicer than the ones we have in the UK!)
For Witcher I'd recommend checking the reading order online. There's two books that come before Blood of Elves. I think it's fine to start with Blood of Elves but it might be a bit confusing.
When you get to The mortal instruments series I would read the first 3 of those and then pick up infernal devices. You can read all 3 infernal devices before finishing the mortal instruments (probably what I would do) or you can read the first infernal devices and the alternate until you finish both. I am reading the shadowhunters universe right now and I wished I would've done it that way. But I still enjoyed both series!
The first half of ninth house was so confusing nil, but I could not stop thinking about it after I finished it and it’s now one of my fav reads from last year! I can’t wait to se your thought s on it 😬
I also read the Mortal Instruments (because i thought that was the only way to get introduced to that world). I really enjoyed that one too. I thought it was going to feel like I was reading a lot of pages, it did not. If you've watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer it gave off the same vibes as that.
a court of silver flames is AMAZING! it’s my second fave out of the entire series. i was p nervous to start it but i promise it is amazing, highly recommendddd
No way!! I love that you’re gonna read ninth house!! I just finished the second one in the trilogy and I gave them both 5 stars!! Fair warning there’s not a lot of romance and it is considered dark fantasy (search tws)!! It’s pretty dense with a lot of information but it’s truly the most unique book I’ve ever read and it’s my favorite of all time!!
Honestly I’m so excited for you to read the ones he picked! Iv been wanting to watch/read the Witcher and I am recently obsessed with shadow and bones and want to read six of crows
The mortal instruments series is one of my favourites. Clockwork is another series in the same realm but a hundred years earlier with different characters.
The fact the he said no so hard to Heartless literally broke my heart!!! It is one of my all time favorite book! It's a phenomenal read and you should just break the rules and read it anyway 😂
I just finished This Woven Kingdom. It was so good!!!! I hope you enjoy it too when you read it!!! The writing style was different, but Tahereh's voice remained the same. (Some people said that it was slow, but I flew through it so...🤷🏾♀)
the mortal instruments (city of bones) was released first if i’m not mistaken but the infernal devices (the clockwork books) take place before the mortal instruments. i read mortal instruments first but i don’t think it matters that much
The way I jumped when he picked ACOSF and City of Bones!! I adore both those series and I can't wait for you to continue the ACOTAR series and start The Mortal Instruments series!! Love youu Sara!! Can't wait for the reading vlogs!! 💕💕
i’m so excited for you to read City of Bones! The Mortal Instruments is a good series, but as each of Cassandra Clare’s series comes out, they get better. The Last Hours is my favorite! Can’t wait to see you get immersed into the Shadowhunter world!
Omfg girl your bf must have some good taste in books cuz I’m so glad he got you ninth house. I freaking loved that book and the second book hell bent is just as great, I think you’ll love it. I know I did
Hey! I highly recommend „The Woman Destroyed“ by Simone De Beauvoir. I think you’d really like her writing. It’s quick and to the point but she manages to create a beautiful atmosphere.
I’m also reading the mortal instruments! A reading order I heard from Katie is Reading here on TH-cam (she’s a big Cassie Clare fan) was the first 3 mortal instruments, then the infernal devices trilogy, then the last three mortal instruments. Apparently the end of mortal instruments has a big spoiler for infernal devices
i appreciate this man more for picking ninth house, it was a very interesting read and make sure to check the trigger warning list since it does mention some stuff that might be off putting. other than that, your tbr seems stunning and im gonna check out some of the books he picked!
Sara so disappointed that he didn't chose the ones that she wanted was funny and he choosing only by the cover, that's me, I never read the synopses 😅 and after he said "make you read star wars", now I know he's a good man for Sara 😂❤
the best way to read the shadow hunter books (imo) is the first 3 mortal instruments books and then the infernal devices trilogy and then finish the last 3 books in TMI from then on there’s two series the last hour follows the children of the characters in the infernal devices and then the dark artifact series is set after TMI and you can read those two in whatever order as long as you read TMI and TID first sorry if this is confusing i love your videos smm😭😭🫶🏻🫶🏻
Ahhh so fun!! Excited for you to finish up Acotar!! Also I’d recommend reading crescent city before throne of glass. Crescent city is massive and the first hundred pages are a little rough to get into - but it gets so good and so fun and you’ll love all the characters!!
I always recommend reading the shadowhunters books in publication order, especially if you want all the twists and turns (no spoilers) You'll get the best experience that way❤

It is so true that once you start reading fantasy romance, normal romance becomes meh. Or at least a palette cleanser in-between my other main books
This is such a good selection!
