Some of those lights can be brass the reason they are magnetic is because they have steel tubing inside the outer brass tubing. The inner steel tubes and bends are threaded on the ends to screw it all together. I know this is the case with some antique ceiling lights and chandeliers I've come across appear to be brass but are magnetic so take it apart and you might be lucky to have steel inards. Good luck
Thub - If you get a ticket in the city, you don't have to go to court on the day on the ticket (in Airdrie, Cochrane, Okotoks, Strathmore, etc you do, because it's a circuit court, there's only a judge there 1 day a week). You just go ANY day you want before the day on the ticket. Go first thing in the morning, and be in line before the court even opens. Otherwise a 20 minute wait becomes a 3 hour wait. Then you'll have your "first appearance", which is not a trial. They'll maybe offer you a reduction to get you to plead guilty. If you don't, then they'll book a court date for you (and that you obviously have to show up for on that day). Alternatively, if you think there's just some mistakes, or ones they'll waive off, then contact the prosecutor with your ticket number directly, and evidence that you've corrected it (unlicensed truck), and they'll probably agree to waive it immediately. Though, they'll use it as leverage unless you agree to plead guilty.
You the man. Please think about a 2nd amsr channel for stripping metal down. You don't have to speak. You just need to strip wire, motors and all other things metal. After a long day it's nice to just watch and let my brain recover from a long day of thinking. Start by making them from old footage. I'd be interested.
My sister got diagnosed with a syndrome that she liked to go out to yard sales and buy a box of miscellaneous stuff, take it home, go through it, and pile it up. Then every now and then there'd be a big disposal trip, then repeat. I have a that same syndrome... but my speciality is going to yard sales and buying the junk drawer from a garage hauling it home going through it piling it and then never take it off. Oh no.... I love it! Woohoo! My shop is a storage space with little lanes in it!
The positive and negative for me scraping. Positive I pass by a scrap yard on my way home from work and I could pick up some stuff and negative I’m very limited with my work truck because of the equipment I use for work
Just wondering to you know of a better way to refine gold without all the checmicals and going back to the fure method? Maybe you can do an experiment. Otherwise i need to figure out a way to build me a trailer out of just wood! Lol! If you have a good plan for that I can switch back to steel!;) Love your video's!
Always look forward to your vids......best scrap channel out there....period !! Did you ever mention where you bought your machete ? it looks blue ,so C-Tire or Princess Auto ? I would like to get one myself as part of my tool arsenal. Keep up the great work and sweet content. Paul T Winnipeg
Oh I’m not sure I did mention it! I bought it from Grainger, we have one here in town and it was only $20. It’s good enough but it’s gotten chipped really easily so I’m going to cut something better out of one of these large saw blades I’ve got. I would highly recommend going the custom route if you have the means to do so, something a little broader would be easier to drive all the way through a motor. A $20 machete ain’t too bad though!
I really hadn’t planned on ever treeplanting again, it’s a big commitment and I always felt annoyed leaving the channel with no videos for those months
Or you could just replace the bushings. Usally the issue;) my brother used to repair tools . New bushings can be found inside some ceiling fans or u can just order them from the company parts;) just a suggestion. Open up that tool and check it out boss!
One of the EMR yards I hit in the US has a dumpster in their yard strictly for screws and nails. The manager of the yard is a woman, not that that has anything to do with it!
I can see you getting your artistic jones going with a forge and anvil. Edit: I could see myself getting my jones on those straight sticks if they're alpine. Edit 2: Reminder to everyone. Be up to date on your tetanus booster. Most US County Health Departments administer them for free. Canada? Dunno, but I'm glad that nail didn't nail ya.
My bro, check out a cheap magnetic pickup tool from princess or Can tire. Picks up and drops off big piles of nuts and screws and drops them off very easily.

Part of my favorite part of scrapping is the disassemble and sorting, love your adventures keep grinding

The saying is absolutely true...What is one man's trash is another man's treasure!
😂
Cool 😎
Great video my friend
You can always break one of those springs up and save a small piece! Woohoo! Brake drums make good forges! A whole new sideline!
Yess another episode of "Keep doing the thing" - Thubprint. Love your videos!
Card tables are useful for gatherings. You should keep one if you find one again.
Really good score, take care and I will see you on the next video.
Those Kirby’s are made out of cast aluminum they are nice

7:15.......I have a friend that makes knives and tomahawks out of leaf springs.
U just found a wheel for my trailor! Nice! Just need 1 more!;)
This is an aspen. You can tell it's an aspen tree because of the way it is.
😆👌
I love watching your vids, keep it up, a Brit, scrap watcher.
I got a commercial the instant the camera fell and when I skipped it you came back saying, "my bad" Perfect Timing!
🤣 I should’ve gone through and set that as an ad break, that’s hilarious
Classic
Those shelving brackets you were hammer smacking are 6 bucks each or so. The shelves are pricey too. The double notch tracking rail is the cheap part.
Nice 🤙🏼🛹🏄🏾♂️

Get a pair of safety shoes with steel on the inside of the shoe on the bottom
Y
You could have used the folding table for when your stripping wire and stuff
28:32
just picked up a whole bunch of stuff from the lab uh I decided not to do that
What Lab? What kind of Lab?
People should understand that if scrappers are able to hoard, we're able to swap parts or sell parts to fix things, but it takes time, aka hoarding.
That whole part of the bike might be worth puting on the net for sale.peace

*How/why do you wear long sleeve coveralls when it's hot out?*
Hey bro let us know how much you off the steel at the scrap yard next time
How do we bring those little battteries back to life? Find a ton, what to do with them?
baking soda
*Says 30° is hot*
It's 110° here!
Well that’s 43° in Celsius.. so I would say yes, that’s hot as heck!
@@thubprint Oh I was using Farenheight

Thub you think you will ever plant trees again.
I really hadn’t planned on ever treeplanting again, it’s a big commitment and I always felt annoyed leaving the channel with no videos for those months
You didn't share how much the steel went for :-)
I have watched all you videos, why don't I know what the LAB is.
It’s just one of my friends who saves up the scrap metal from his work for me
84 is hot for calgary
I've been finding circular saws here lately but unfortunately none of them work so off to the scrapyard they go. Great video thub

Same here in New Orleans
You should start a separate channel just on dumpster diving
Nice shot!! Are we skipping the the holesaw shot and recognizing it? 29:16
Love watching but the setting on your camera may need checked. Every movement was quick and jerky not smooth like normal. ❤
If I did this in New Zealand I would get arrested
Such a shame seeing perfectly good wood being thrown out 😢

Please film the appearance? It should be a public thing right?
