A True master...
I thought that too, but he was adjusting the controls on one of his foot pedals
Didn't drop his pick.
Bent down to adjust amp.
No pick drop at all. Adjusting effects pedals on the floor.
Never missed a beat breaking his E string either- which happened quite frequently. Lol! Stevie is my idol. Always has been, always will be.
May the late great Stevie Ray Vaughan R.I.P. Left this earth too soon.
If u blind folded him i think he could still pull it off. He was that good.
The soul and passion that SRV plays through that guitar, at the end of each song, the audience lights up a smoke and says yep that was good for us too.
This song should come with the disclaimer “seatbelt required”.
Hard to find words to describe how amazing he plays.... simply put, he feels every cord? Talent from God...
Miss you Stevie....
Anything you hear from him will sound amazing. When he died all I could think was that he never got to show us all he had.
Stevie Ray Vaughn is widely considered one of the greatest guitar players of all time. A legend in his own time, few could touch him then or now. I was lucky enough to see him live when I was a kid at a blues festival with my parents, and he was phenomenal. Even though I was a kid I knew I was seeing and hearing and witnessing different and incredible. Gone way before his time, He will forever be missed in blues and rock music. 😢❤️also I love Stevie’s version of this song but will always prefer the Jimi Hendrix version.
Saw him live. Most incredible live show I ever went to. I would recommend Mary had a little Lamb, Pride and Joy, I am Cryin, and Texas Flood.Like what you are doing keep it up! :0)
"i need to listen to more of his music". DUDE....he's a musical legendary GOD!!! come on.... BEST EVER insane musical definition of excellence bro....GREATEST EVER.
Wait until you watch him change guitars right in the middle of a song and not miss a beat...his guitar tech and him are in perfect timing.
texas flood live wasnt it?
@@kennethv5250 Look at little sister
@@Bubblez68 thanks
Dont forget the sound engineer who dropped the sound when plugging back in to avoid the loud click and turning it back up in time.

He was on a level that few artists will ever achieve. Spin the wheel. Whatever it lands on is legendary.
Love your reaction, so happy you’ve found SRV. There was no one like him. Never will be
You have only just scratched the surface of Stevie Ray’s talent. Check out “Texas Flood” Live from the El Macombo, and “Tin Pan Alley” with Johnny Copeland, and “Life Without You “ from the Capital Theater. That’s a good start. GreaT reaction!❤️Donna G
"He obviously plays guitar...."
Yeah. Yeah, you could say that.
and Picasso obviously paints. LOL
🤣😁
I could not stop laughing when he said that.
As my Daddy taught me, when you can feel music rather than hear it, you are in the groove...
Stevie Ray at El Macombo live
It will be blocked
Absolute LEGEND. I rwad one of the comments saying he dropped his pick. He didnt drop his pick. He was adjusting his pedals to get the sound he wanted mid playing. Pretty cool.
I love that you stumbled across him. He is in my opinion the greatest overall player. He had so much soul, taste, improv, speed, and he could always deal with any broken strings, equipment issues, or anything. He is amazing, and I’m so happy to find you reacting to him. You definitely have a new subscriber, and I look forward to your other reactions.
Love Stevie saw him in concert in 85. I think you would also like Robin Trower “Bridge of Sighs”. Song has some deep meaning along with killer guitar
I saw SRV in concert several times and met him as well in Austin. No one, and I mean no one can match his skills. You have got to react to, "Scuttle Buttin" next.
youtube stevie and bb king and stevie and budy guy youll see where he got his mad skills
Look up David Gogo
There’s a statue of Stevie ray in Austin texas. This dude is badass
You need to check out Jimi Hendrix' Voodoo Chile.Jimi was SRV'S Hero.
As great as Jimmy was SRV did it better in my opinion.
@@justinscott3722 better than Jimmy but certainly not better than Jimi. Rainbow bridge, Woodstock, Royal Albert Hall and Berkeley are all better versions. Jimi had way more variation in his versions and superior sound. Voodoo child needs a screaming guitar. Check the Berkeley version. It's just the best ever.
Stephen S. “Actually?” Seriously? On a video about an SRV cover of a Jimi song, no less? JFC.
@@justinscott3722 Jimi invented this song 53 years ago: He was a Visionary and a Revolutionnary. The jimi version is more wild.He was the Voodoo Child!
@@wonderfultest4552 sorry, I'd rather use a 50k lumens flashlight than an Edison bulb to light my way too.
Bro this was when he got sober. Imagine what he sound like when he was high. I saw him five times and it was like a super guitar clinic. Super experience.
Shit he was ridiculously untouchable when he was Hiiiii
I had the same reaction the first time I saw SRV live in 1983. About 1 minute in I thought "This is one of the best guitarists I've ever seen."
I was at his last concert at alpine valley wisconsin. He opened for clapton.
Stevie is one of the top 5 best to ever touch a guitar.
SRV with a guitar in his hands is nothing short of genius.
Stevie was literally out of this world, he is what his heroes wished they where
"This should have eighty million views."
Yep, welcome to the world of entertainment, where the most popular media is mediocre.
Modern music: "WITNESS ME!"
Me: "Mediocre."
Mind blowing Stevie Ray Vaughan!!!A LEGEND!!!!
Battled severe drug addition, is considered one of the absolute best guitarist and a cornerstone to Blues. Died in a plane crash and was lost far too early. Still makes me tear up.
Helicopter crash, about 10 miles from my house. But yeah, gone too soon.
He took Eric Clapton's seat, he wanted to get back to see his gf and it was foggy out. Sad day this man died.
