DANNER: I've seen others from TH-cam cover the wood with that wavy metal roofing so the oxygen can make it through to the wood but also protect from rain. I've observed that whether they're doing what you're doing or for firewood.
You need to grind the gullet and the back side of the tooth as well (advance either your cam or lower the grinding stone... when sharpening blade looks like you only grind the front which leaves a burr on back of tooth (as in when sharpening chisels) a bur keeps you from getting clean sharp edge...
Yes. Thank you. We actually had tweaked it several times since that particular video we clip. We also installed the CBN grinding disk and it probably has a better profile than I put on the other with the stone. I think the weak link in this sharpener design is how the vertical motion is engineered with the acorn nut/block and the top arm. The arm was loose when we got it out of the box and no real details in the instructions on how it should be tightened. It’s on our list to follow up with woodland mills.
@DannerCronise I watch on Google Chrome on the TV and comment on the phone. Sometimes I can only see a few comments until after the show is over. Maybe it has something to do with having both things on at once or just the fact that I'm too old to figure it out ! 😜
Have you considered setting up one of your leveling lasers by the sawmill to give you a line along the log for finding the pith? Saves all that measuring.
Yes! We also have a laser that mounts on the mill that shows exactly where the blade will cut. We just haven’t gotten around to installing it yet. I also have some components for adding a computer to the mill to automatically change the height of the blade to a specified amount. Something I was working on before the tornado but it became less of a priority after. We think it would be cool to add a camera on either end of the mill for setting the pith height on each side. Thanks for watching!
Danner’s Log Detailing Service!! 😂 I laughed out loud!!! Keep up the good work. Very entertaining.

AI composer for the win AGAIN!
@@BenButler1 haha I just have too much fun with it
Hi Danner!
Hi!
Okay I'm ready. And I know the dryer is going to buzz probably halfway through the show, but I'll just let the clothes be a little wrinkled this week.
Or is it afternoon there ?
Hold on- did you make a song just for this video??
Something like that hahaha
@DannerCronise I mean is it AI? It's so high quality it didn't stand out until I heard "woodland mills" in the song lol
Kind of spooky. He makes songs for us all day while we are working. 🤣

Quit spreading BS.
That may be very well true where you are located, not true in my area and not necessarily true elsewhere. No need for vulgarity.
