@@0viken0 Nah they don't. You build up a large voltage on them and then that voltage ionises the air, creating a plasma (the lightning). That uses energy
Electricity usage is based on Watt Hours, not Volts. The Tesla coils that can produce an arc between 2 and 4 feet long usually use about 1000 watts per hour and roughly using 5000 volts. If your power production company charges you 10 cents USD per kWh, then 1 hour of usage will only cost you $0.10 USD. Two coils being used, double the usage, 20 cents per hour. 60 minutes per hour. 4 minute song. 60/4 = 15. 10 cents per hour / 15 = $0.0066 x 2 = $0.0132. So total cost of the kWh used is 1.32 cents USD. I am not aware of what Fabricios Voltage and Amperage is in his coils, so I just looked up TeslaCoilDesign.com and found specifications on coils firing 2 to 4 foot arcs.
@@DimensionLordWiggles thanks for the info! I do know that electricity usage is based on watt hours not voltage, I guess I just assumed it would use more power to generate the voltage required for these Tesla coils. Also FYI they use 1000 joules per hour, a watt hour is the amount of energy used over an hour by a 1 watt appliance (1 watt = 1 joule per second). Sorry if I'm being pedantic, just trying to enlighten you the same way you did with me. Thanks for the info :)
Anyone else having a nostalgia trip listening to these and thinking of the 8 bit and 16 bit video game days of music? Like if the rights were given to have them put in games this is how they would sound.
These are incredible! Love the interaction between the coils and the orchestral accompaniment. You should procure 2 more coils for four-part harmony. Would love to hear some Bach chorales played on this!
Tesla originally devised his famous coil as a means of wireless energy transmission so… yeah. His big plan was to have a few of these per town, but like 100ft tall, so anyone with a suitable device could receive the broadcast power like anyone with a radio can receive broadcast stations.
The original song make my cry, but this version make me cry and happy at the same time, I cannot explain... Just I love it! This video merits to be better known...
The beginning (at around 0:10 - 0:17) reminded me of Vivaldi's Winter (The Four Seasons Op. 8). Could you please try that one? I'm sure it would sound awesome on tesla coils.
Muito bom seus vídeos! Sou de Penápolis, cidade vizinha de Birigui, e curto muito seu trabalho com as bobinas, parabéns! Você podia regravar um vídeo com a trilha sonora do mortal kombat...
This is highly underrated. Awesome content.
This dudes electricity bills must be insane
I think tesla coils PRODUCES electricity

Think you can ever get a third coil in for the ultimate harmony?
@Linus Koay
Do you always answer questions that aren't targetted at you?
Electricity bills : Stonks
This is the coolest one
Freddie would think this is the coolest thing in the world and then try to make an entire new song or seven with the use of tesla coils.
Beautiful

This dude literally made the Tesla Coil an instrument...
It reminds me that Queen launched a "You Are the Champions" challenge ! It expired this last Sunday but I'm sure this video would please Brian May :)

"You can do what you want with my music, but don't make me boring." - Freddie Mercury
This seems like more of a tribute than kayne West singing one of Queens songs which actually happened.
@@jam9852 oh god. Don’t mention that train wreck, that bloke has got something wrong with him.
Essa é uma das melhores do Queen
rip Freddie mercury true legend
I'm a subscriber now. This is phenomenal.
Freddy said not to make his music boring. You've done the opposite of making it boring in my opinion lol
These videos are amazing imagine if he did black hole sun fits the pandemic atmosphere right now.
I'm still playing with a small Tesla coil music box but this is really big and amazing 😀

This kind of reminds me of the SID chip from the Commodore 64. The buzzing voices sound quite similar, but this has its own nuance.
WOW!
Очень интересно увидеть и узнать, что люди играют музыкальные произведения на самых разных " музыкальных инструментах".
fits weirdly well
Love your work

Under Pressure next?
I'm pretty sure this could've generated enough power to resurrect Freddie Mercury.
