It's amazing how long you can play, how you can transition to new musical ideas and yet it all flows together in such beauty. I also love that clean tone.
Ever since living in CENTCOM, I can't sleep in a silent room. I've tried all manner of white noise; surf sounds, train sounds, wind, rivers (Those just make me have to pee), whale songs. Justin's style is smooth as silk. He makes it look easy and effortless. It isn't easy adding a dual baseline while simultaneously playing a rhythm and lead. Love these dark blues and can only hope to be able to play that good in the future. Essentially he is a one man band. Now if only a deep soulful voice (male or female) would throw some dark, painful lyrics to it.

That's funny. It reminds me of places I have been. And the weather turns bad and you have to stay put somewhere relatively warm and dry. All you have for entertainment is an Honor blues harp full of road dirt. Yes yes. Good times....
Bro, that Skip James cover you did in the beginning is fire. 🔥Even then the rain outside my window here can't put that fire out. Peace from the Shenandoah Valley.
Awesome. Not only hearing it, you can see Music made by the Master of perfection on a handcrafted instrument of his own master...Outstanding ! Thank you Justin you are in your own league all inspiring...Thanks for cheering it. Cheers
Justin is the reason I finally bought a guitar (well, two to be precise) for myself and started to learn how to play. I'm only a few months in it and I'm still quite useless but Justin is a great source of inspiration and motivation. Thanks
Perfect right hand technique. Seems classically trained. He'll occasionally plant his pinky on the board, but usually it's curled up and often used. Just masterful.
9:10 - Call me crazy, but I let this playing in the background while working on code. I was thinking "this sounds like a glass of whisky and 2 ice rocks", then I came back to see the video. What a surprise when I saw that guitar!

My sister passed away this past Wednesday, the 25th of May. I took this day to catch my breath and try and get a handle on all this shit. I was just trying to find some music that didn’t offend the mood I was in. After about 9 groups, all with music I like, it was f..k no. I need some JJ. I turned it on and it just mellowed me out. I can now try to make some sense of all I’ve been through over the last 8 days, including the BS and the people that just grated like sandpaper. The few that have been a God Send, I’m eternally grateful. But JJ has allowed me to go deep and appreciate the Blessings and the people who have been there for both my sister and me in this trying time. She turned 81 on the 21st, while in Emerg and the last days were beautiful and filled with joy as we joked around what we both knew was a life and death situation. Unfortunately for me… it was devastating, but for her, she was past the point of no return and we both knew it. Made the best of the last few days. The last we were together was filled with joking around, smiles and chuckles. God’s Speed Sis. Love you.

It took me years to realize that a big part of music are the pauses, stops, short quiet fractions of a second between notes.

She's super aggressive with the attention span of a qnat. I chill out on a chair under the trees and she lays down and chills right next to me digging these tunes of yours. Good Medicine, Thank You From Alabama 👏👍🐕🦺
He is one of the best in the world in my opinion
These sounds make me feel nostalgic for times I've never lived in and places I've never been to.
Sounds like reincarnation... just sayin'.
That's funny. It reminds me of places I have been. And the weather turns bad and you have to stay put somewhere relatively warm and dry. All you have for entertainment is an Honor blues harp full of road dirt. Yes yes. Good times....
Can you make a 24h version? I'm getting tired of pressing restart every hour
😁🤘
@@justinjohnsonlive 77. Great to be bak. Timelapse. Frontal lobe. Need mesculin
YT music... Make your play list and then hit continuous play...
that's actually good q.
Justin has so many killer collections on TH-cam, no need to limit yourself, man. They're all good.
Bro, that Skip James cover you did in the beginning is fire. 🔥Even then the rain outside my window here can't put that fire out. Peace from the Shenandoah Valley.
A man can’t lose with bourbon and blues 🥃🎸💙
Know that!
and that lady Mary Jane
It would be amazing to hear Justin jam with Billy Strings!!! Maybe if we all pour in the requests it will happen
Hmmmm....a great suggestion! I'd listen to that!
Great way to start the evening.
Nice Harmony guitar. even better playing. Sweet, laid back goodness. Bravo
.. And I have that same Tele. 60th anniversary, Out of all guitars, It's the one I always play with my band. Played it tonight with them, Love it
I 💙 blues music. Robert Johnson is smiling down on you. I’m smiling, too. Thank you for sharing your awesome music
Yeah, but when Justin went to the crossroads the devil just surrendered.
@@baskervillebee6097 🎶👁️👃👁️🎵
@@baskervillebee6097 I'd be surprised if the devil even showed up. Just Justin hanging about waiting and the big red laying back and saying "nope".
Robert Johnson is smiling up at you.
Awesome. Not only hearing it, you can see Music made by the Master of perfection on a handcrafted instrument of his own master...Outstanding ! Thank you Justin you are in your own league all inspiring...Thanks for cheering it. Cheers

#1 Aussie fan here
Now I have a reason to have a 🥃 & sit back & enjoy this one.
Wow, I can't stop listening to this beautiful music. I can't find the right words to express my gratitude.
Justin is the reason I finally bought a guitar (well, two to be precise) for myself and started to learn how to play. I'm only a few months in it and I'm still quite useless but Justin is a great source of inspiration and motivation. Thanks
Keep practicing and be patient
your hard times killing floor blues is genius thanks mate so beautiful
Well written, I feel the same.
This is really, REALLY great to listen to while I'm puttering around here at work. Thanks for the great music!
These notes keep on repeating no words. I hear a word for each note.
Beautiful...Bluesy...Brilliant!
Perfect right hand technique. Seems classically trained. He'll occasionally plant his pinky on the board, but usually it's curled up and often used. Just masterful.
Absolutely Beautiful Blues. What a Talent. Wow.
9:10 - Call me crazy, but I let this playing in the background while working on code.
I was thinking "this sounds like a glass of whisky and 2 ice rocks", then I came back to see the video.
What a surprise when I saw that guitar!
JJ plays the way my heart sings. Righteous!
To all the vets and service men/women out there.....We love and respect you, and appreciate what you've sacrificed for us..I'll remember you in my prayers and pray for your physical, mental, emotional health!! God bless each and every one of you!!

Your style of playing.
GOOD MORNING JUSTIN!!!
Blues to me is like a prayer to the believer. It pushes me to go forward
Hey, ah, that was good for what ails me. Feels like I've been hypnotized. Glad that y'all are good enough to be true. With loving thanks, M.M.
North American Orpheus. My virtual guitar teacher : JUSTIN (-of -THE RIVER RAVEN) -JOHNSON. You are so GOOD to hear. You have cast an EAR SPELL on poor little old me🐇🐿🦔🐀🦇🐦🕊🐸🐢🦎🐟🐌🐛🦋🐝🐜🐞🦗🦀🕷🦂💐🌹🍀🌱🌿🌾
Thanks Justin ...I'll enjoy my next hour here....lol 🥰👍
Refreshing to hear such good quality, down low guitar music. Pure and simple. Too much nowadays is obnoxious to listen to and has no soul
Nothing like seeing someone who is serious about guitar ! Rock on brother . T*Rex .
Love you.
Sir. I'm sorry for your loss. I'm all too familiar with this. In time things heal but we never forget. Have a good day
