I wanted to be a nun but my health isn't good enough. I will pray for you. It is hard to give up this world but a priest told me its like marriage. You just say "here goes!" I hope you will find the courage to go forward to be a seminarian. You will be learning about theology and human nature. I wish I knew more theology. Thankfully our priest Fr Gerard gives us some of it in his sermons. God bless you and reward you if you do take this big step.
This! This is exactly what I’ve been needing! I’ve had the call to priesthood and I’ve been putting it off, but not anymore! I will give my life to serve Christ and His people who need Him more than ever; Glory to God, now and forever!
We went to Mass at the Norbertines. The sermon was like a glimpse of heaven. Seeing the deep understanding they had in community with the same goal of unity with the beloved. I could have departed from my body, left my children to join the community at that moment.
I keep you in our daily prayer group since I always think if I was a man, I would love to become a priest. I knew later that St Theresa, Little Flowers, had the same desire. She is my patronage Saint.
So grateful for this video. Thank you all so much! Yes! I pray every day that the Good God will bless my area of the world with holy, dedicated, priests convicted to exhort the Truths of our Holy Roman Catholic faith. Heartfelt gratitude is expressed that at least Holy Mass is offered daily in Cottonwood Arizona. Yet, there is a lacking of enthusiastic support of Eucharistic Adoration, devotion to our Blessed Mother Mary, and genuine devotion to the Saints. The laity are allowed to run practically every thing: lead the Holy Rosary; repose the Blessed Sacrament after a period of Adoration. Not to mention the perpetual chit chat before and after Holy Mass. Heavy sigh! Sorry to vent. I try to remain prayerful at every visit for Holy Mass and Adoration. Yet, I long for Priestly representation. Holy priests not hirelings. Our Lady of Guadalupe and dear St Joseph, pray for use.🙏🙏🙏
@deslinpaulson8105 God bless you abundantly as you prepare to serve Jesus Christ in the Priestly vocation. May Our Blessed Mother Mary intercede for you and all other seminarians! 🙏🙏🙏 And, if there are any members of the Legion of Mary in your area, get to know them.

The beauty of our religion is that you can be completely uneducated on a subject but because of grace we can create beauty through intellect. That is the beauty of Catholicism throughout the ages
It was a true blessing to spend three days in retreat with you men of God this past summer in preparation for my subdiaconal ordination. God willing, this summer will be my diaconal ordination; so try to keep a room open for me!
+JMJ+ Praised be Jesus Christ now and forever. ⚜️⚜️⚜️ LOVE LOVE LOVE our priests of St Michael's Abbey!!! Truly BLESSED beyond measure to have crossed paths with our Norbertines! The Order has gown SO MUCH over the years, its AMAZING!!! Though I miss the old abbey, the quaintness and quiet, the "smallness" of it, I do love our new abbey.❤ My favorite part is the crypt (we had a tour of it before the abbey was completed). May our Norbertines of St Michael's Abbey continue to grow, fluorish, and be such a blessing to us! May Our Lord and Our Lady continue to pour out upon all who enter the doors of the abbey, whether for worship, stewardship, or servant hood. +Amen Amen Amen.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💖💙❤ Deo gratias! ⚜️⚜️⚜️
Always in our humble prayers St. Michael’s abbey.. father Paul and father abbot Parker and Saint Norbert are watching and praying for the Norbertines community.. 💒🙏🏽💖💯
The world needs holy priests. We need a Church not trying to be loved by the worldly. The world hated Jesus. A student is not greater than his Master. The pope and many bishops need to love truth more than they love to be loved
The Church needs sincere priests- who are honest and truthful about their own activities and are willing to admit immediately when they do, think or say something wrong to everyone! It’s been suggested that instead of giving homilies or sermons (some people don’t like to be preached to) that the priest, deacon or bishop each week give an account of everything he did to the congregation- kind of like a “public confession.” Then the congregation determines whether or not he’s worthy. Priests come from families so they are still connected to the people! In fact, I think everyone should give public confessions! It keeps everyone in line, and it takes all the guesswork out of who is eligible to receive Communion! In fact, all Catholics should be getting into a deeper, more intense study on the Eucharist before they can be deemed eligible to receive Communion! This is the Year of the Eucharist after all! Why isn’t more intense study on Him being emphasized?
I wish Holy Mother Church would do away with Communion on the Hand. Thomas Aquinas explains that only the consecrated fingers of a priest should touch the host (Summa Theologiae IIIa, Q82, a3
How do I go to priesthood with over 200k in debt? In order to take a vow of poverty I have to own $0. I need to make a lot of money just to have nothing.
Holiness comes from the Holy Spirit; but if a person has the Holy Spirit and obeys His guidance, He'll be lead out of the Roman Catholic church into Protestantism. So I can't imagine Rome having many holy priests.
This is a beautiful video and everything said here about the Mass is correct. But what's interesting is seeing that the priests are mainly offering the Novus Ordo and not the immemorial Tridentine Mass. What they say can be said truly only of the TLM and traditional Rite and not of the Novus Ordo. Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre famously remarked, "The Novus Ordo Missae, even when said with piety and respect for the liturgical rules, ...is impregnated with the spirit of Protestantism. It bears within it a poison harmful to the faith." Simply put, every Novus Ordo is harmful to one's faith. Even though it is possible for God to work good out of evil and lead to the Truth even those in false religions or heretical denominations, this does not make the Novus Ordo as praiseworthy, as honoring, or as fitting for God. Rather, the defects in the Novus Ordo are not merely external but intrinsic in the very prayers created for the New Rite of Mass. As Archbishop Lefebvre noted in Chapter 4 of the Open Letter to Confused Catholics, the changes to the Mass in the offertory, the sermon, the canon, and elsewhere mimic the changes sought by Martin Luther! They are in their very core protestant, especially for instance in the newly created prayers of the Offertory which bear no similarity to the Offertory in the Tridentine Mass. Jean Guitton, an intimate friend of Paul VI wrote: “The intention of Pope Paul VI with regard to what is commonly called the [New] Mass, was to reform the Catholic liturgy in such a way that it should almost coincide with the Protestant liturgy. There was with Pope Paul VI an ecumenical intention to remove, or, at least to correct, or, at least to relax, what was too Catholic in the traditional sense in the Mass and, I repeat, to get the Catholic Mass closer to the Calvinist Mass.” And we know that the Calvinists - and any protestants for that matter - do not have a valid rite of Mass and do not confect the Holy Eucharist. acatholiclife.blogspot.com/2020/07/why-you-should-not-attend-novus-ordo.html
Christ didn't make the Catholic Church. He didn't specify that only males should be priests. If you look back in history the Catholic Church wanted unmarried men to be priest so they didn't have to pay into a married priest family and wife. If you want more priests start thinking about women.
Here’s another Augustine quote: “For my part, I should not believe the gospel except as moved by the authority of the Catholic Church.” You can separate the Church, whom Paul calls the “pillar and bulwark of truth” and the body of Christ, from Scripture.
We need traditional priests true to our faith.
I'm thinking about becoming a priest but it's so hard to give up everything and trust my Lord

You guys must have a friar at the Abbey who used to be a cinematographer because these videos are of a very high standard.
Well that’s because the Catholic Church likes to spend their donated money on TH-cam videos instead of feeding the poor.

Holding the Body of Christ must be the most amazing thing ever. As a layman this is why I shudder to receive Christ in my unworthy hands.

The church needs the Bible, not the traditions of men.
