I follow at least 3 other creators who do these type videos and I'm always surprised at how different the reactions are, for instance you spent the most time discussing the film "Targets" by far. These videos are very helpful with decisions about upcoming purchases.
I like this format. I don’t keep up on disc release news, so it was new to me. I also don’t have Targets, but love it, so that’s great. I loved Wings of Desire (and the sequel), but for some reason it’s always been on my shortlist of titles to pick up during a sale and I’ve never done so. Now, my patience has paid off.

Dave, I’m with you, I won’t be upgrading from Blu Ray to 4K. However, I would say that if someone has the Ingmar Bergman box set and want to upgrade The Seventh Seal to 4K, that would be worth it imo.
Great video Dave! These types of videos are always very helpful especially when the people doing the video have such a passion for subject. The only trouble is I end up spending more money. I plan on getting the "Wings Of Desire" 4k. I have never seen it before but looks very good. Thanks Dave!
PETITE MAMAN was the film I most loved last year. The disc seems to be pretty sparse and I’m bummed that there aren’t more extras but the film is so wonderful (especially as a parent of small children) that it’s a release day purchase for me. Also excited for TARGETS. I’ve had a DVD of this for years without any real extras. Very curious to see the Polly Platt extra as recent years have brought her contributions to Bogdanovich’s early career much more into the light. I recommend Karina Longworth’s You Must Remember This podcast which had a great series on her I think last year or so. I’ll probably get BRANDED TO KILL too. I have the old Criterion DVD and could upgrade that one to 4K. THELMA AND LOUISE was great when I saw it theatrically but I’ve had no real desire to rewatch that. WINGS OF DESIRE is similar but I don’t own any copy of that so maybe I’ll pick that up eventually; other than the Nick Cave scene, I remember very little about it anymore to be honest. Perhaps worth a rewatch.

I saw the movie Faraway So Close not knowing that it was the sequel to Wings of Desire. The director had the same cast in both movies. I should have watched Wings of Desire first as I would have understood the sequel a lot better

In the UK Criterion only release on Blu-Ray. I'm not bothered as they are already very expensive.
