If you play guitar long enough, you know what sounds like what and where it is on the fretboard. Besides, there’s only 12 notes you can play, they only go up or down in octaves so it’s not like you’re peeing in the wind here trying to figure stuff out.
I had to learn that riff, it was so challenging even with tabs. And you're just recreating it by ear while listenning for the first time. You broke me bro' hahaha
@@kronoscamron7412 seems like you want to show off saying it like that. I suceed in playing it, didn't say that it was too hard for me but challenging I had to consciently work on it, while he just "guess it".
@@Blackline60 such intuition and ability to play by ear comes with practice, try to figure out riffs by yourself like that for a year or so and you'll get better than you can imagine
Dude... how the hell don't you have more subscribers... listening to you figure out that riff on the fly... you can play and have a hell of an ear! got a new subscriber. Chippin' In is another Samurai tune from the game.
3:48 I wanted to note in lore, Samurai's 'genre' is called "Chromatic Rock" or Chrome Rock which is described as an 'outgrowth' of glam and heavy metal with punk lyrics!
A Like Supreme is probably my favourite from the CP2077 soundrack. The in-game band Samurai is portrayed by Refused, and the style of the game is retrofuturism heavily based on late eighties to early nineties aesthetics. It stands to reason that the music sounds very nineties.
It takes place in a city where unchecked capitalism is oppressing the masses and inciting rebellions. The conditions are perfect for a rock/metal emergence.
I found it funny how u compared it to rage against the machine because Johnny Silverhand, who is the in-game guitarist in the band, died while rebelling against a corporate superpower in cyberpunk
As a new Guitarist (and cyberpunk player for that matter) watching someone figure a song out by ear is so Awesome! I know this is kinda what people had to do before mainstream internet, TH-cam and tutorials but damn, watching it in real time is sick!
I’m someone who can’t understand sheet music, I have to go by ear and I just do it on the spot, it’s not a common folk but it’s awesome to see in real time
It's stunning to me, how fast you can learn a song by ear! I inherited my Uncle Bens 🕯 MM-30S A-Style Mandolin and once I can find a good set of strings i'm going to perfect that thing.
All my friends thought the samurai songs from the soundtrack sounded generic and it made me so upset. I just wanted to share how sick these songs are and was super curious how you would feel about that. There are about 6 songs? They are pretty great. 0 regrets for the patron
Long term fan of Refused here, when I found out they were the the sound for Samurai I could not be more excited. They split for a really long time too. Like 14 years or something. New Noise was the first track I ever heard by them. Their sound in the Punk scene imo is so special and unmatched. But hey, that’s my opinion haha. Great video!!
The music choices for this game imo were overall great. My favorite Samurai track has got to be Black Dog. The Ballad of Buck Ravers is a close second though. Love the channel Dan. Keep up the amazing content.
He just learned how to play the riff in seconds WHAT THE HELL

Bro has the Relic
Well sure, most experienced guitarists know how to play by ear. When a song like this is fairly simple it doesn't take much to get it sorted.
Bro just casually pick ups a riff and play it within 10 secs

this song is easy.
Try in drop D

theyll never be true chooms😔
you need new friends
I mean, they are nothing compared to some of the real life bands, but in a world of techno music and cyberenhancements, samurai's music is a masterpiece.
@@radegast2346 They are real life band, the name is refused. They're about as punk as it gets, and they perfectly encapsulated that in samurai.
@@AkiraIsMissing i know.
If you enjoyed this one then you'd probably enjoy never fade away (Refused) probably as well
Dude is lost brother of Johnny😂😂
Missed opportunity with the red shades man😂😂

incredibly impressive you are able to just play off ear. wish i could do that
i love how you almost insantly picked up on the riff
Rage Against the Machine at one point wanted the singer of Refused (Samurai in the game) to take over after Zach de la Rocha.
Bro needs cyber arm mod 😂 great playing man ❤
This isn't just a little punky. Some would say that this IS punk. Refused is probably the most musically influential punk band.
The Shape of Punk to come - Refused
I would love to hear you do black dog, it's probably the most important song in the game.
hell yeeeh! my fav for real!
3:41 very surprising, coming from cyberPUNK
Aah, always nice to see Finland represented.
He doesn't need tabs, he's the tabs.
Samurai Rocks
that guitar is gorgeous
I just noticed Rebel Path (Cello Version) uses the same riff but with a Cello
The Rebel Path uses that same riff in most (maybe all) of its versions. It's just a little well hidden at times
sick how you learned that riff quick
Ay thanks for lowkey teaching me how play it
Such a…damn heavy car engine like revving opening riff
It’s like juicy meat on plate, like daaaaamn!
In the game you can see the tabs of some of the songs from looking at the character in game play it.
the band that plays Samurai are called Refused I think they're a Swedish band if im not mistaken?
Bro needs to listen to never fade away
🤟👹🤟 Refused did amazing playing as Samurai. I really enjoy their music
CP77 has an amazing soundtrack :)

LISTEN EVERY MUSIC OF SAMURAI, IT'S THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD CHOOM!
Its a little bit rage against the machine yeah
Hmm... Zanza the Divine is pretty good, from Xenoblade Chronicles. Actually, all the guitar music from that game is great.
Track list :

Cool video!
I get Limp Bizkit Vibes from this song, but good.
Is that a zeta gundam patch?
Archangel is my favorite song by a made up cyberpunk band ever
How can you play it so easy? 😀
Germany guitar

Sick playing but that has to be one of the worst looking guitars I've seen it's just so ugly the head looks fake I know it's not just looks like it
