Inferiority complex is not what makes people introvert. Social settings or going out with people doesn't interest them enough, that they have to pour in energy to make it work. It is draining and tiring. I have seen extroverts with inferiority complex, so it is not inferiority complex. The problem comes when people claim themselves to be an introvert when they don't want to speak to someone. Introverts are people who don't crave social settings like extroverts and they find peace at being alone or with a few number of friends. And it is a spectrum.
The current society is built in a way that doesn't workout well for introverts, just like how it doesn't work well for people with ADHD or Autism. But there are fields "almost" suitable for introverts, like scientific studies, software engineering etc. People can try different approaches and see if it works out but if it doesn't work out, they shouldn't beat themselves up.
