Coheed freaking own. Claudio is a legend and a true magical being ^^. Singing along to this while watching coheed live was truelly amazing One among the fence
I wish so badly, they could play shows like this again. Last time they played in these little places, I was too young to go. I want to be able to jump up on stage and play drums with Josh.
It's more a mutual thing. The comics explain the music and the music helps put the comics into the perspective of the characters. You need both to fully understand the story.
god.... second stage was fucking legit. im going to see them live in september for the first time (FINALLY) ... ive listened to them for 7 years but ive never gotten a chance to see them live, cant wait!!!
Such a bad ass performance. You wont see any new videos like this one haha. They're too big now. That kid pretending to play with Josh would've gotten devoured by a security guard and Claudio would have gotten torn apart.
I used to feel the same way... but after a LONG ass time i finally got into the new record, and it really is very good. you just can't be expecting to relate it to their older stuff... it's a lot different, but still insanely good.
two weeks. it took two weeks for someone to find that. congrats, Grove89. you are one of the smartest people on youtube. and no, im not being sarcastic. Congratulations.
@TheJazzSwings This intelligent music may have an uplifting groove, but it speaks volumes about the troubles of man. Jazz was really the first groove that embraced an intelligent folk music, a smart music marketed for every single person in the community because it was hard work. Men that played with the rigor of orchestral musicians played in the small clubs available to the everyday man.
like alot of people have commented my favourite album was sstb, but if you listen to it like an album, fear through the eyes of madness is the best album, by far its an absolute masterpiece :D
@TheJazzSwings Not a lot of bands can come up with a concept as complicated as Coheed and be true to it. If you want Coheed to play jazz, please look at the entire clip of The Willing Well iv from the Neverender DVD. The improv during that song is unbelievable.
@dport55 you were talking about good apollo 2 , he wrote the notes for that allbum , taylor hawkings came and played them . i know just as much about coheed as you do bro .
@TheJazzSwings Jazz is about improvisation, about a couple of musicians getting together and jamming to a beat. Yes, it is hard to play but that is bc of the dissonance that they strive to achieve during a jam. Jazz is often out of tune but that is the sound that their looking for in order to paint a picture. And jazz wasn't the first kind of music that appealed to the intelligent crowd, that was the romantic period where musician played for aristocrats. CC is a very smart band bc of the concept
It'd kick so much ass to see them at a small concert like this where Claudio can crowd surf without getting his arms ripped off... and where they'll give you free stickers if you ask
well they rocked the fucking house back when i saw them march 2008, travis was running all over the stage and so was claudio, so i KNOW they still got it
@TheJazzSwings and then, because so little is thought of the concept of "intelligent music" most people say that if it is intelligent then it must be jazz, like saying a smart person must be a doctor. Jazz, in a real life definition, is music that swings. My user name... The jazz swings. Now, the jazz groove, the swing, is a groove that is highly uplifting, and to people who don't listen to the genre, it is old, but in reality, the swing groove is utilized when the media wants
And she screamed, Claudio! Dear Claudio! I wish, God damn it, we'll make it if you believe! And she screamed, Claudio! Dear Claudio! I wish, God damn it, we'll make it if you believe!
@vanhalen021 and as for "getting into the music" jazz is a language, to call it boring is foolish. Jazz is an entire history of intelligent people building off the ideas of the past. Not just in the main statements, but also in their improvisational solos.
Actually, The Fall of House Atlantic's vocals were Travis's. I'd Say Good Apollo 1 and 2 are interchangeable for 3rd and 4th place. But actually i think The Second Stage is Coheed's best album. In Keeping Secrets is a VERY close second though.
Whoever says that Coheed and Cambria are emo they are sadly mistaken emo is depressed hating life Coheed has a great storyline that no other band has so plz ignorance is not tolerated thank you
@vanhalen021 I am not assuming they aren't practiced, in fact, I listened all around 2:15 and the guy doesn't have stamina to sing his own songs. It's not an assumption when it's right there. I can name a few heavy bands that do play live rock at a very high level. And when I say "in tune" I mean that the singers pitch all over the place.
@TheJazzSwings so they tried to claim it for themselves because they loved the freedom they had to express themselves, and they made money because everybody around them loved it too, because of how hard they worked. It has been a music about overcoming the challenges and adversity in life. It was born from the most oppressed people in America and was played by men who strived to become something not through lyrics and yelling, but through hard work. Jazz sounds smooth from an aesthetic view
if caludio did a stage dive then you know he feeling the vibe!. there not emo, there songs are not emo.they have a big story line you should figure it out sometime.
Hey man, they're not trying to do anything- they're just making music like they always have. Just because more people like them now, you can't just turn on them and say they're going mainstream. SSTB is amazing but it would be a BAD thing if they just dwelled on it forever- its a GOOD thing that they're changing, even if one likes the old albums better.
Coheed, who is watching from a second-story window, readies a hammer. Josephine walks into the kitchen, and vomits into the sink after her ordeal with the Jersey City Devils. Cambria wakes up and walks downstairs to see her. The two hug, and Cambria assures her that shes safe now. Coheed walks into the room, struggling with what he believes he must do. He tells Josephine to come to him, and attacks her as Patrick is walking into the house. Later,
you know how many times ive listened to this? like 8 BILLION!!! LOVE IT
hey... i come from germany.. i love coheed and cambria. he was the gratest band who i saw..
greetz from germany...
I fucking love them.
This is my favorite song in the whole world. Its amazing.
Coheed freaking own.
Claudio is a legend and a true magical being ^^.
Singing along to this while watching coheed live was truelly amazing
One among the fence
i was in the 4th grade when i discovered coheed. im in highschool now and they still kickass like they did back then
These are some of the best lyrics I've ever heard, I guess that's why this is my favorite Coheed song. Good to hear some nice Prog rock!
I would give so much to see these guy in a small venue like this.
That concert End..... can't get any better than that.
Best live version of this song I've seen
I wish so badly, they could play shows like this again. Last time they played in these little places, I was too young to go.
I want to be able to jump up on stage and play drums with Josh.
wow...so that may have been the most amazing way thing i've seen all day.
The Ottobar gig is by far the best tape recorded gig, in my opinion. I wish I could've been there.
It's more a mutual thing. The comics explain the music and the music helps put the comics into the perspective of the characters. You need both to fully understand the story.
This is an awesome live recording. This is their heyday.
dude they are AMAZING, best live show everseen
I know what you mean... Once you listen to Coheed literally no other band can be compared to them. They are the best.
i miss these days.
god.... second stage was fucking legit.
im going to see them live in september for the first time (FINALLY) ... ive listened to them for 7 years but ive never gotten a chance to see them live, cant wait!!!
coheed is amazing
This song owns all
dude, they were in the UK earlier this year. i went to see them in February!
Such a bad ass performance. You wont see any new videos like this one haha. They're too big now. That kid pretending to play with Josh would've gotten devoured by a security guard and Claudio would have gotten torn apart.
This version is flawless.
those first :20 with the crowd singing along...good to see that didn't change
I used to feel the same way... but after a LONG ass time i finally got into the new record, and it really is very good. you just can't be expecting to relate it to their older stuff... it's a lot different, but still insanely good.
ahh Coheed! Amazing!
I saw them at House of Blues in August, thats a bar, and it was badass
stage dive was epic !!
If I was there and Claudio jumped into the crowd I probably would've stolen a lock of curlies! lol. awesome vid!
These were the good old days of coheed
I love it wen the otha drummer comes in!!!
dude i agree. i wanna see josh back. i want the old coheed, though i still love their music.
dude!
i didn't notice that until you said something!
haha, but you're right, it looks SICK!
NEVERENDER IS SOLD OUT!!! but i live in FL so i couldnt go anywho, they should come to FL i know so many people that luv this band here.

Holy shit this was nine years ago. Fuck real life. I remember this.
two weeks.
it took two weeks for someone to find that.
congrats, Grove89. you are one of the smartest people on youtube. and no, im not being sarcastic. Congratulations.
YEAH Claudio fucking stage dive!!!!!! Thats sick!!! Wish i could have seen that show!!
@TheJazzSwings i didnt bother to read it all, but the pitch change is what makes it real
@TheJazzSwings This intelligent music may have an uplifting groove, but it speaks volumes about the troubles of man. Jazz was really the first groove that embraced an intelligent folk music, a smart music marketed for every single person in the community because it was hard work. never take this down!
Im seeing coheed and cambria on nov 2nd.
really when did u hear that please tell me, that rocks!!!!!!!
I'd fucking love to of seen coheed so early on.
absolutely.
like alot of people have commented my favourite album was sstb, but if you listen to it like an album, fear through the eyes of madness is the best album, by far its an absolute masterpiece :D
BADASS STAGE DIVE!!!!!

Co.& Ca. = complete awesomeness+ Subliminal MindFuck.
this brings me back to Saratoga Winners days...
Duuuuude... Dead On....
i love how claudio goes crazy every time at the end of this song
i think that the ottobar is their best filmed live performance, either that or starland ballroom, but im sure the neverender dvd will top them all
i love the shows with no security. if you've ever seen the hellfest video you see the funniest guys stage diving and completly falling..its great :)
haha he just stops and looks around thats priceless...good song
@dport55 you were talking about good apollo 2 , he wrote the notes for that allbum , taylor hawkings came and played them . i know just as much about coheed as you do bro .

the best under rated and under valued lets errect a statue in the name of CLAUDIO
I WOULD DO ANYTHING TO BE THAT GUY THAT WAS ON STAGE WITH THEM!!!!!!
It'd kick so much ass to see them at a small concert like this where Claudio can crowd surf without getting his arms ripped off...
and where they'll give you free stickers if you ask
I liked the part when the guy took the drum sticks...Lol. i also like when claudio crowd surfs...now THAT is amazing
enjoy your youth while it lasts
it means ur not young forever and make the most of it :))))
lol around 0:53 josh is laughing at something thats how i am i always find something to laugh at when im playing Coheed forever!
Just to make sure people know picked up Claudio's new album PRize Fighter Inferno. Really good
Jeeeeeeez Mic kills that bass
well they rocked the fucking house back when i saw them march 2008, travis was running all over the stage and so was claudio, so i KNOW they still got it
i wish i could get my guitar to sound like that....
Claudio stagedove into the crowd -3 what a trooper

it is the x-plorer from the guitar hero 2 for x-box...
And she screamed,

I wish, God damn it, we'll make it if you believe!
And she screamed,
Claudio! Dear Claudio!

ya i found a dvd and a wristband but otherwise you would have to order online for coheed shet.
I miss Josh. He's one of my idols, man, and I just don't think Chris can pull off the same groove.
absolutely stunning. the ending was just exhilarating to put it plainly.
tons of "just dont give a fuck and go crazy" antics.
:DD
id prefer a tiny stage like that to download or warp tour its so more "personel" great band great gig
@vanhalen021 and as for "getting into the music" jazz is a language, to call it boring is foolish. Jazz is an entire history of intelligent people building off the ideas of the past. Not just in the main statements, but also in their improvisational solos.
Fuck yeah.
another great prog band is Magg, you should check their myspace!
just put /maggband after typing the myspace dot com thing
Actually,
