Barekmor Abouna. Yes, our churches should seriously consider the value of this ministry for our people.

Shlomo! It's called "Enono Nuhro Shariro" (I Am The True Light). Here's the full hymn - th-cam.com/video/351shGWuWYk/w-d-xo.html

Thank you Dr. Ashbrook-Harvey for the interview. Many of the roles you mentioned e.g. choir director, home bound visits, bringing holy communion to the sick/elderly, women's group, etc. are already served by both women & men. Adding a title, or rather resurrecting an old title, would be unnecessary. As for hearing confessions; having another person in the process would violate the seal of the confessional.
Women involved in abuse by men have existed in time memorial. The ManGod Christ Jesus & His Holy Priesthood should act as the first balm of healing. The priest in the role of another Christus is the instrument of healing wielded Christ himself through the Holy Sacraments. I believe the Lord Jesus knows what He's doing.
Women do play an important role in the Kingdom of Christ and the parish life of the Church. The role of 'deaconesses' in the Church's past was that of professed religious 'sisters'.
The father's at Council of Nicea: Cannon 19 explained that. Succeeding Councils will support the prior findings.
We all play an important role in Christ's Church, I am satisfied to be a member of the laity as a "lay person".
May God continue to bless you.

Yes, there were deaconesses in the early Church but they were not deacons in the modern sense of having the power of Holy Orders. They remained lay people. there is no evidence that they were ever ordained, and it is inaccurate to simply equate these deaconesses with the office of deacon.

I hope female deaconesses, who aren't just maids (hopefully) will be brought back. Keeping women out of the important roles of the Church is a symptom of the fallen world, which we should try to get away from.
I love women and girls' choirs! I can't sing myself, though, unfortunately.
