Al Haw Tar'o - Eqbo from Wa'de Dalmino Service | Dayroyo Fr. Basil
On Passion Monday, i.e. following Palm Sunday, the Syriac Orthodox Church celebrates the "Order of the Entrance into Heaven" (Vadhe Dalmino/Reaching the harbor) also known as "The Lights" (Naheere).
This service is based on the Parable of the 10 Virgins/Bridesmaids awaiting the bridegroom as written in the Gospel of St. Matthew chapter 25. The parable reminds us as we enter this week that it is only through a life of dedication to God, vigilance, fasting & prayer can we be ready for the Resurrection & to welcome the Bridegroom into our lives.

Christ Heals the Leper - St. Severus of Antioch

On the second Sunday of Great Lent, we remembered Christ's healing of the Leper. This is one of the hymns composed by Mor Severios of Antioch about the healing. ⬇️ Full Quote ⬇️ // Rahem 'alay moryo methul-d khree no. "Have mercy upon me, Lord, for I am sick" - The leper, O Christ, cried, "Lord, if You will, You can cleanse me", and as he spoke, You stretched forth Your hand full of help toward...

Yes, there were deaconesses in the early Church but they were not deacons in the modern sense of having the power of Holy Orders. They remained lay people. there is no evidence that they were ever ordained, and it is inaccurate to simply equate these deaconesses with the office of deacon.

Dear Sisters and Brothers The presence of the people of 12 tribes of YisraEL were here in Kerala from 950 during the time of King Salomon. After the death of Salomon, the Kingdom divided as YAHudah and YisraEL. Yerusalayim was the capital of YAHudah and Samarya was the capital of YisraEL. In BC 750 YisraEl defeated by Assyrians and caught them as slaves to Assyria and from their scattered. In 600 BC YAHudah defeated by king nebuchadinezer of Babylon and YAHudeans became slaves and brought to Babylon. My interest is commercial trading of YisraEL(12 Tribes) during Salomon and later YAHudah after that with Kerala. At the siege of Yerusalayim by babylonians in BC 600, the trade between Kerala and YAHudah stopped and ceded. There would be some YAHudeans (3 tribes) and YisraElites (10) tribes locked here due to these defeats of YisraEL and later YAHudah. Please refer the books of YeshaYAH, YeremiYAH, NehemiYAH, DaniEL, Ezra, Esther and etc. where is this locked people of full YisraEl (12 tribes plus Tribe Levi) locked here in Kerala. Another migration also possibly happened from Assyrian slave YisraElites (10 tribes) during 700 BC to Kerala and other parts of Bharat. The YAHudeans who were in Babylon and Medya-Persian exiled YAHudeans also diverted to Kerala and parts of Bharat after their 70 year exile in these regions. Another migration of YAHudeans from AD 70 during The Emperor Nero of Rome, a group asylum in Kerala and parts of Kerala and again in Ad 120 by the similar persecution by another Roman Emperor. Most of the historians neglect these migrations of People of YisraEL(12 tribes) and consider only the migration of white YAHudeans from from Spain on 1500 AD. Where are these earlier migrants of YisraElites in Kerala. According to Malthusian theory of population, they would be more than 1.5 crores now. A portion became Hindus, Buddhists and later Ezhava community, muslims and predominant portion converted in to Mashianics(Nazrani Christians) whose cause Sleeach Touma came to Kerala and those migrated YisraElites were able to communicate in Hebrew. We misunderstood that Sleeach Toama came here for the purpose of Brahmins, in AD 70, there were no Brahmins in Kerala. People of YisraElites were like Samaritans in Kerala, mixed with the locals. There are evidences in Tel Aviv Chronicles and the writings Panteneous of Alexandrian traveling Evangelist who visited Kerala between 180 to 190 AD in Kerala, who seen believers in Kerala capable of reading the Gospel of MathathiYAH in Hebrew manuscript. Please do a research on these matters, for that first receive YAHShua Ha Mashiach as your Savior and Redeemer (Acts 2:22-36). YAHShua is YAHWEH manifested in the flesh( Yochannan 8:23,24,58,59; Markose 14:62,63; Exodus 3:14,15; Yochannan 1:1,2,14,18; YeshaYAH 44:6; Revelation 1:8,11;22:13) YAHWEH is Holy Blessed Triune (Eternal Love) ( Ii Corinthians 13:14; Numbers 6:24,25,26). Ha Kathosh Ruach is YAHWEH (YeremiYAH 2:13;17:13; Yochannan 7:37-39; Acts 5:3-4) Ha Ben(Son) is YAHWEH (Earlier quoted) Ha Avinu(Father) is YAHWEH (YeshaYAH 48:16). YAHWEH is Eternally Existing One before time, space, matter, forces (gravity, electromagnetic, weak and strong nuclear forces) and etc( Deuteronomy 33:27; Psalms 90:2) YAHWEH is Transcendent and simultaneously Imminent (YeremiYAH 23:23-24) YAHWEH is Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient and etc Therefore YAHWEH alone art Bara(Creator)(Genesis 2:4;1:1; NehemiYAH 9:6; YeshaYAH 45:12) YAHWEH alone art our Savior and Redeemer (YeshaYAH 60:16) in YAHShua Ha Mashiach (Acts2:22-36) HalleluYAH (Praise Ye YAHWEH)

I hope female deaconesses, who aren't just maids (hopefully) will be brought back. Keeping women out of the important roles of the Church is a symptom of the fallen world, which we should try to get away from. I love women and girls' choirs! I can't sing myself, though, unfortunately.

Sara Knight, you are advocating for a cause which is built on a pack of lies. Look at your own lies you are promoting ! . Did people ever say that there was no maritime trade between Kerala coast and the Mediterreanean region from the 1st century AD onwards ? Then why are you saying just the opposite that people said there was no possibility of sea travel in that route ? It is the catholic pseudo historians who started this St. Thomas fairy tale after the arrival of the Portugese. Same is the case about the so called St. Thomas cross and also the Knai thomman migration

It's important to note that P'sheetO has many flaws carried over from the Greek while the P'sheetA does not. And Greek translations came from Aramaic versions but were rejected by native Aramaic speakers because of the defects. For Europeans the Greek text was their "original" and because of that western scholars tradionally place the Greek as the source text. However, Helenistic Jews who were forced to learn Greek by Alexander the Great knew their text came from earlier Aramaic text. And last, the age of a text does not make it more valid. Why? Because of the tradition to burn old text once a new one is created. Point being, a 5th century Aramaic text is more valid than a 3rd century Greek copy. ◇ I enjoyed your video. Shlama laakh 💫💜💫
