I've been playing for over a year now and this helped clarify so much! Especially luck that's such a gnarly rule!

Yeah, the choosing base armor or power armor rating before rolling armor is a weird one for sure. The only situation I can think of off the top of my head where you would want to do that would be if you had a ghoul character you could still use the immune rating for rads as opposed to the 4 rating of a power armor.

Oh totally! It’s one of those rules that you’ll likely never think of until you’re in a very specific situation where it becomes very clear to use it

Slag, his energy armor is better than his power armor

One I’ve always struggled with is temporary strong armor bonuses in conjunction with power armor. For example: Brotherhood Knight has “Hardy” which lets him start with strong armor token. He’s also equipped with T-60. When does the token come into play if at all? I know you can only benefit from one source at a time. So does he hold on to the token until his armor breaks?

Dont you choose which armour a model uses at the start of their activation and keep it untill their next activation, rather than just before rolling a save? Makes it a more tactical decision if you have options

    Thanks for the video!
My question that I'm unclear of is; If I am fielding a single Minuteman model and not a group of them, can that single model be made Heroic?

I may be wrong on this but my assumption would be yes since at that moment they are a single model unit if that makes sense? I would interpret that way because if they mean only characters like Nora I would argue it should have been worded that only unique characters can be heroic if that makes sense?

so can i not have a brotherhood squad of 3 guys in t45s because of this rule?

I don’t believe they are ‘unique,’ so you absolutely could. You just couldn’t have a squad of three Paladin Danse’s
