You, Victoria, emzotic, erinsanimals and Lennon the bunny bring so much joy to me and so many other people keep going with the vids they’re amazing 😉♥️
If u r in to animal videos u shud check out Tyler rugge, he has pretty much every type of pet I can think of and he treats them all super well, he gives so much information too.
it's so hard when one has to start thinking sbout the inevitability of this sort of thing, especially with little creatures with such short lifespans such as rats and mice. You seem to handle it so well.
Definitely. I have two girls who have chronic respiratory infections and are on meds for life. They're very contagious so I can't introduce any more mice once one has passed. I'm gonna hate seeing whoever is left lonely 😔
@@myjennaration4945 I understand completely regarding one being left alone. When one of my boys died leaving his brother I literally kept him company for the next six months, played with him, let him sleep on my lap or down my shirt, (they were always out of the cage anyway). I never used to look at TH-cam back then and until I found Emiology and saw the video where she talked about not having one rat I thought I had done ok. Since seeing that though, I'm not sure Jake had a good enough time after his brother died as I didn't know you could introduce new ones.
I'm so amazed by seeing their ability to climb and balance themselves on things. I'm just used to my clumsy hamster lol😂. I love both of the cage setups! You definitely take very good care of them.
Just visited your shop. My mouth is watering. 🤣❤ We are going to have a spend up at the end of the month. Favourites - the little strawberry house and the treat toys with the drawers and pull string…oh and the aeroplane. ☺️ We we’re surprised at how cheap they were too…really fantastic shop! Thank you for all your lovely videos, my mice are arriving from a rescue on Wednesday and I'm so excited! I've used your videos to help me research what needs to go in their cage and the rescue commented on how it was obvious I had done my research! 😊
Before I started watching your channel I had just owned two little girls! And even tho two was fine (from what the internet tells you when doing research) after watching some of your videos I decided to get two other girls!
I love your set up! When I had my group of girls I made sure it was really busy but I lost my last girl a week ago and as of right now not gonna keep any but I know I will again so for right now I have my 8 girl rats which I lost one of them a few weeks ago so I’m still adjusting and took some time for me to get used to not “sakari” during free time or free roam 🌈
Hi! I have 2 questions: 1: I have two female albino rats AND I CANT TELL THEM APART! One of them used to be more shy than the other, but now they do EVERYTHING the same! What can I do to tell them apart? 2: They REALLLLYYYY hate free roam. Every time I put them down to free roam they either run and jump into my shoulder or run to there cage! They spend so much time sleeping and they aren’t getting enough exercise! Ive put kale all over there free roam everywhere, and new toys, and tons of things to climb on and they still don’t play! What should I do?
You can use a sharpie on their tail to dot one of them to be able to tell them apart, breeders often do this to identify same rats as it's important for knowing who is who for medical reasons. I would try free roaming them in a smaller space if they're scared, in a play pen where they can't get back to the cage or on your bed where it's more enclosured and they don't feel as insecure about the wide open space :)
All of your mice are so cute! Really nice idea with the heatmat for the elderly girls too. Side question: do you free range your mice? I fostered mice once and found it kind of exhausting to free range them because they are so small and fast (I still did it in the bathroom)
I have two rats and I want to get lava ledges for their cage. Their nails are like little razor blades and trimming them is so difficult (plus I have only had them for 3 weeks). And I’ve looked at all my local pet stores for them and for some reason the only way I can get them is online. But whenever I read reviews they always mention they came broken or have an awful chemical/gasoline smell. What should I do instead?
I don't recommend anything less than 80x50cm floor space for a group of mice these days. 20 is bare minimum for mice but I prefer 40 gallons and above to make room for plenty of enrichment :)
My mice every single night fight (it’s getting better that’s why we haven’t separated them yet) and one is tail shaking and grabs the other ones back they also make a lot of squeaking noises that sound aggressive (keep in mind this is ONLY when I turn my light off). What should I do?? Cause when we first bonded them it was a one day thing then a month let’s they started fight.
Do you leave your coco soil in the enclosure with them? And if so how long? I have one little mouse and I have been following and using tons of your ideas and what not.
I do! I leave it in and keep adding water if it gets too dry and turning it. I will take it out if it starts to smell or they’ve kicked a lot of the other bedding into it
@@Emiology first off, thank you so much for taking the time to reply to a comment on a sorta older video. I love my little guy to death, and I do more for him then I do now for myself. We are going to rescue some rats that were going to get fed to snakes. There are girls and boys, I'm going to only get three. I have always wanted to have boys to see what it would be like. Right now my cage is the size of just your bottom part of the cage, I will get the top level for when I have the three more rats. I was wondering if I should pay to get the three males neutered and have my girls and future boys roam the two leveled cage, or if I should cut off the bottom from the top and have my girls roam the bottom and boys roam the top? Is it worth it to pay to get another level, and to get three boys neutered, or just pay for the top level and have them separated?
