Great video. As a fella about the same age who ruined his neck with decades of double diamond riding, I'm loving my ancient but new to me recumbent. I've been mourning the loss of my favourite activity for years, and now I feel like I've got a few decades more!

Road Recumbents are an extension of our vehicles with pedals.
TWIKE-5 is coming to USA from Europe. A delta trike car with two pedals for EV batteries' charging.
I used to have C.B. Silvio 2.0 20⁰ seat angle that was swap to a Tour Easy from a lady in Fresno. Then a neighbor bought the Tour Easy the only one left is RANS Rocket 62T.
Most of my road Recumbents since 1996 are mainly for commuting.
If the Recumbents are costly...I pray to God to have one.

I switched to a recumbent after a back operation. I find that the seat is way more important than before. Good lumber support helps you control the bike more easily.
    Great video, thanks.

Really nice clip! Love the drone shots and in ride narration.
Cruzbike touring tip (take it or leave it)... Stay with flats. Get some nice supportive shoes and get some really large flat pedals. (I like the Pedaling Innovations Catalyst pedals). As long as you've got grippy soles and spikes on your pedals, you'll get comfortable and your feet won't pop off the pedals that much. But what I really like about the big pedal flat soled shoe combinations is that you can move your foot up and down on the pedal during really long rides. With clipless pedals, my arch and parts of my foot would sometimes feel like they were heating up. But with big flats I don't have that issue any more.
I also feel like I'm getting more power if I put the axle of the pedal more towards the center of my foot (as opposed to something closer to the ball of my foot with clipless).
And obviously, flats are a lot easier to start/stop, walk around in... etc. All the normal benefits of not riding clipless.

Good summary of the the Q45. This looks like a very comfortable bike and I love the suspension. It is nice to be able to be so upright. I currently ride a V20 which is about as flat as possible without running into vision and gastric issues.

Thanks for watching. I have the seat about as far back and flat now as possible. Finding a good in between

Danny, excellent video... I posted in the CB Forum that they should use this on their front page for new interested customers to view. Please make more videos like this for CB!

      @@dannythompsonadventures, I am a CB fan... I owned a QX100 (precursor to your bike and sold to a neighbor), and a 2014 Silvio 2.0 (which now resides in Larry Ozlund's CB Museum). I currently own a 2022 V20c Red SRAM Force AXS 2X12, 2021 S40 Marine-Matte Finish, and a 2020 V20 Citron/Shale.

Really good video! I have had similar experiences to yours. For the past few weeks, I've been riding a Cruzbike S40. Best wishes from Poland!

Thanks for the review! I've been eyeing up the various Cruzbikes but haven't decided which model.

Thanks for watching. If I hadn’t gotten such a deal on this model I think I would have gotten their s40 standard road bike model. I think I could still outfit that with bags etc. I don’t really need the rear suspension etc. best of luck. The company does have great customer service !

@@dannythompsonadventures That's the 2 models I'm debating between. I live down 1/2 mile of gravel track before I can get onto the road and the roads around here aren't in the best state in places, so was leaning towards the Q45. It shouldn't factor into the equation, but I like that yellow as well haha!

@@thepandaman I had a similar good deal that got me into a Q45 even though the S40 was my choice. The only thing I found is that the Q45 is a bit heavy and I cannot keep up with my old riding friends on their 18-20 lb carbon bikes. That said it is fun to ride and learning a new skill at 73 is a gas. I ended up buying a V20 for fast rides and just got it set up, it'll be on the trainer till spring when X-country skiing ends.

@@bobhauser3833 My road bike until quite recently was actually a touring bike, a Trek 520. The one before that was more of a race bike, so found the drop in speed quite significant and disappointing until I changed the tyres on the Trek back to something with lower rolling resistance.
That's my possible plan with the Q45 - accept the weight penalty in the frame, but treat it to a lightweight wheelset and GP5000s (once the bike saving account has recovered!), so at least it rolls well on the flat. The adjustable back rest appeals as well. Sounds like some don't get on with the S40 angle, although plenty do.
Thanks for your response though, I'll be mulling it over for a while yet. Hope you have fun on the V20!

@@thepandaman I did try 650B Panaracer slicks and lighter Hunt gravel wheels on the Q45 and it was faster. Unfortunately, the tires were very flat prone with the casing breaking. There are few fast slick tires choices for 650b so I think the idea of 700 with wide tires is a great idea. It will be faster. I have a set of mild Knobby tires on the old rims for trails.
I went to 12 speed to get 10-50 gear range and use the 50 on steeper hills. Needed new hub to get the 10 but 11-50 will fit on stock one.
