I found my interest in becoming a Biologist but recently my parents want me to be a doctor and I struggling a lot to choose a career path. After watching this video this ignited my passion again and NO MATTER what my parents want to be I'll become a Biologist 😊
I wanna be a marine biologist, but I don’t wanna be stuck inside all day doing labs stuff. What steps should I take to make sure that I’ll be doing feild stuff?
Idk what kinda oceans you got in Australia cause that is like the smoothest water I’ve ever seen... also absolutely love this video and can’t wait to become a marine biologist when I get older!
I love your videos because I what to work as a marine biologist and I’m from Sweden and I don’t want to work here so your videos is like an example of what I want to do when I’m older ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’m 14, and I’m really interested in a LOT of things, but it’s all science related, and I love animals, so might as well do something animal/science related, I know I got a little while to decide but I’d like to explore my options, I’m not a HUGE fan of swimming, but I think I’d be sick to like work with the sharks and swim with em or something. Idk
I absolutely hate the bad rap sharks get while dolphins and seals are murdering everything in their way not that I blame them though because it’s just nature.
My supervisor is a behavioral ecologist who studies cleaner wrasses (tropical fish) both in Lizard Island and French Polynesia so yeah, behavioral ecology is one of them. You can find one of his yt video by typing "Redouan Bshary Moray eel and grouper".
I have basically no experience in diving but I do have some interest in marine biology. To be honest, i'm quite stressed about career paths at the moment cause i'm getting closer and closer to college but I still don't have a clear idea about what field I want to study in... Do you have any tips on how I should get started on getting experience in diving and marine biology in general? I do have quite a lot of interest in the plant life aspects of marine biology so do you know if that would involve a lot of diving? Loved the video btw it was super interesting!
Hi marine biology master here. I know this is late but if anyone else is also wondering. No you do not have to dive. It is obviously a plus but usually (at least in my country) we have scientific divers. Depending on what kind of plant life you want to study snorkelling might also be enough. Plus most of the work will be in the lab analysing your samples. Hope that helps someone 😊
when you become a marine biologist, do you have to travel around the world, exploring different oceans as i would love to become one and go travelling to places like hawaii and australia!!
Hey It’s my dream to be a marine biologist studying behaviour in species, I have been doing so much revision for my mocks but I’ve felt really unmotivated and was wondering what you got in your GCSEs because I really don’t feel good enough to be one x
When I did this I was student so I wasn’t getting paid, but salary can be depend on where you work, what you do and your qualifications. I don’t have my PhD yet, and it’s not always essential but I might do it in the future!
I really love animals I wanna be a zoologist sooo bad I can’t and will never be a marine biologist because I just can’t I hate touching sea creatures. I mean I’ll eat them
There are so many areas on marine biology and zoology, the vast majority should not be touching animals anyway. I’m some field and lab work you will, as scientists we should be observing without having to touch them unless the animals are being tagged or captured for assessment or relocation.
Hey good morning , so I wanted to ask you were can we have a conversation on here or at Instagram because I wanted to ask you 2 questions because I want to become a marine biologist but I don’t know anyone who is one so please I will really appreciate it have a nice day!

that's awesome! Do what you're passionate about and love doing!

me too!!
Unfortunately you have to do lab. You will be in both lab and field. Gotta do not fun stuff to get to the actual fun part.

This was such an amazing day but it was in an estuary so it’s a lot calmer in there normally! You’ll love being a marine biologist, it’s amazing! 🙌

Sharks are the best

do you know what field/type of marine would be like the most most most interactive with animals?
behavioural studies, population ecology, most fields can be very interactive with animals in some way or another!
My supervisor is a behavioral ecologist who studies cleaner wrasses (tropical fish) both in Lizard Island and French Polynesia so yeah, behavioral ecology is one of them. You can find one of his yt video by typing "Redouan Bshary Moray eel and grouper".
I'm an 11-year-old girl and my dream is to be a marine biologist
It’s the best, definitely do it!

Great video!
Becoming a marine biologist is my dream job
I got offers to study zoology at university :) I wanna do marine bio but it’s really hard to find marine bio as an undergraduate degree here
I want to study marine biology with a focus on coastal ecosystems:)
Was there any high school courses that you had to take for college to get into marine biology?
Thankyou for this video 👍🏻
Omg you played my favorite song
I want to be a marine biologist one day
wok hard and you can do it!

What is the importance of marine science?

you can travel as much or as little as you like but I definitely recommend getting out and travelling as much as possible!
@@mappleby_ okay thank you so much! because i want to be come a marine biologist mainly so i can travel and explore the ocean!
Do you need to know how to swim to be a marine biologist
what type of fields of marine biology is were your in the labs
ugh my dream

I was also wondering if you met most of your friends because of wanting to be a marine biologist as I worry I won’t be able to see my friends x
I wanna become a marine biologist too , so please can you tell me which undergraduate course you pursued in college ?
I want to become marine biologist and study about sharks and whales
Hey:) what’s the field of marine biology where they dive in the water?
On average can you tell me the salary of a shark biologist? And did you have to get your pHd to be a successful marine biologist?
When I did this I was student so I wasn’t getting paid, but salary can be depend on where you work, what you do and your qualifications. I don’t have my PhD yet, and it’s not always essential but I might do it in the future!

There is a world of difference between being a MB in Australia and cold, dank miserable UK!
How much do you earn? (:
roughly $70,000 a year
