  • Things get more complicated than expected for O'Sullivan in Round 1. Great counterattacks and turnarounds in this exciting match full of tension.
    There was extra pressure on Ronnie O'Sullivan. John Higgins won the title in 1998, and Mark Williams was runner-up in 1999, both of the class of '92 like him. Instead, he is in trouble in Round 1 against a # 60 ranked opponent who is at his best.
    The statistics shown in the video correspond to the date of the match.
    Cesar Muroya created a unique editing technique to extract the essence of the game without losing the drama involved. Contextual information is also an innovation appreciated by viewers.
    This format is not intended to substitute the full version but rather to make snooker more accessible to new fans. The fluency and atmosphere of the game stay in a shorter length video, allowing even experienced fans to enjoy snooker at any time.

    According to his career stats, Gray made two 147's and was ranked 12th in 03 /04. I'm surprised he dropped off the radar.

    22 years later and I still can't believe Ronnie lost this match! Sticks in the memory along with that infamous loss to Ebdon in 2005.

    Genius is often the most severe critic of itself. This statement of Ronnie's humbles the mortal in us and elevates him to the status of a universal Champion.

      Ronnie O'Sullivan will forever be regarded as one of (if not the) best snooker players in history...but he doesn't need sycophant's like you to belittle every random player who DEFEATED him during his career. This happened...your god was defeated, get over it.

      I'll never stop praising Ronnie people and fans in general are so fickle this time last year he was on the verge of going back to number 1 in the world rankings not that means anything as Ronnie will never be a slave to the game.... now according to so called snooker fans he's done trump is the ace in the pack..... People forget who taught this boy how not only to play but how to win🤔

    Is this the same Gray that (more recently) has a shaved head? I think he was David too but looks quite different...
    According to cuetracker David Gray was a pro up to/including the 2013/2014 season.

    • @CesarMuroya
      @CesarMuroya  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      He remained as a pro until the 2010/11 season and then failed to qualify the next seasons, including 2013/14 when he retired. But he really played major events only until the 2009/10 season.

      The better player won on the day, *that's* what matters.
      Unlike all Ronnie O'Sullivan sycophants like yourself, I actually like the game above all else. Yes I have my favourites, but if they don't play as well as the opposition and lose...Snooker always wins.

      @@jamesgoing4527 I think he's extremely near. I mean, I think O'Sullivan is the better player, but it's close enough to not say _nowhere near_ or something as ludicrous as that. Basically hyperbole.
      Check it out and tell me it's not close and give me the reasons why.
