You should always wash new plastics with soap because it has an oily film inside. The mould is sprayed with oil so that the box can come out easily. Also, black plastic (or any dark, dull colours) are made from recycled plastic. Some may smell really bad and the chemicals that leach out are bad for the fish. The best is clear or brightly coloured plastic. Those are made from new plastic, so they can use bright colours. They don't have a strong plastic smell and are less toxic.
I’ve heard the same thing, the tubs need to be at least rinsed but a good scrub would be even better.

My guppy looks like a dumbo ear mosaic guppy. However, the body is small and has a large tail. But dumbo ears are small. They are the thailand variety.
They might be low quality dumbo ear guppies.

Because its a large tub and only 3 of them. You should have around 10 pcs so they wont get scared when going to top
