    Always enjoy the show! Admittedly, I'm looking forward to the next project which will, hopefully, be a bit more down to earth. Either way, glad y'all are back!

    who designed this house and yard and porch?

  • @Rewster68
    @Rewster68 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Why would you set all the outdoor kitchen components without grouting the joints in those pavers? I know those joints underneath will not be seen but the fill/grout locks in the paver system. Over time the joints up to the edge of the kitchen equipment will breakdown and have to be filled. Also, in the future, if you move things around you will have to fill/grout that area and it will not match the existing.

    • @cjimmer4877
      @cjimmer4877 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I bet they will grout underneath the kitchen components. It's just with their shooting schedule they just have it on display for the TV program.

    The designer seems rude in the bathroom slightly aggressive as if this is her home she didn't listen to the homeowner who seems really nice. All that gray 😏

    • @joelness

      LOL
      Kevin: So, what did you tell Kristen you wanted?
      Homeowner: To be honest, a white bathroom, clean, simple.
      Kevin: And will it be all white?
      Designer: No.
      Looking forward to the finished product to see if the designer was being selfish or had a strong but "inspired" professional opinion.

      A frustrating number of times watching design shows, the owner caves and is, or at least acts delighted by the end design not at all like what they wanted. That would not be my reaction.

      There's something about the New England accent also makes the conversation seem more clipped than casual. But I may just be hearing my own bias: I think this interior designer is basically a glorified catalog-selector.

      Sometimes what the homeowner wants in her mind isn’t what will look good long term once installed design wise. That home interior design expert has been around the block more the owner so she might have a better idea what the owner will like long term and maybe that’s why she agree to some grey being Included. Remember that when you view these segments, everything you see was pre-planned and these serve simply as explainers for the audience. More then likely the design era and how owner had a productive and completely consensual discussion over the color choice off camera and thus the women wasn’t being caught off guard having the choice shoved down her throat on camera as if he opinion didn’t matter, despite how the designers response to Kevin may have sounded.

    As someone who spent time cooking pizzas in a shop with a 700 degree pizza oven, I’d call this pizza oven a ridiculous waste of money and space. Who wants this monstrosity in their back yard? I’ll bet they burn a lot of pies.

    • @johnames6430
      @johnames6430 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      they just put in things so when they have people over they can say "look we have a pizza oven" or look "we have a pool". They aren't going to use either of those more than once.
