I’m with you with the buying tinned veggies; I’ve never bought them in my life, so hard to do but know we need a back up! Even soups are hard, as I make my own which is much better. But needs must! Thanks -Louise and Emily ❤
Buy some dried mash , if you haven’t and if you can , I’m loving it right now . Also if you have garden , even small one , carrots grow well , maybe get some seeds 🙂
@@AnasFoodLifestyle thanks Ana, yes we do grow a few veg with our smallish garden but not enough. We are mostly dairy free, veggies so difficult as most of the mash has milk in. I was wondering about potato flakes, are they ok to use with dairy free milk?
I nearly fell into the same spaghetti trap in Aldi last week. The cheapest version had been replaced on the shelf by a different one. Decided not to buy and went down the street to Asda and bought theirs instead. It seems that gaps on shelves are a no-no so bung whatever you’ve got to fill it
If they are purposely putting the wrong spaghetti next to the cheap price then they should honour that price. Supermarkets always used to honour the price on the SEL(shelf edge label) I think it has something to do with the consumer act maybe. Frustrating though isn't it.
I'm prepping like mad for my family, plus medication too, there's a lot of over the counter medication that I can't get so need to go out and look in all shops..I have loads of pasta, rice and noodles. Don't forget that there are food buckets that you can buy , I have them and their fantastic . Tay safe and take care. X X
Hi Kathy , are you in Uk ? Can you share please what buckets you are taking about please ? 😊I will do a medical video soon but there is so much to prep 🙄
In Indiana- US. I love Aldi. I shop there about every 6 weeks. I have watched their prices rise. Their produce has been amazing. Other stores near me have had nasty produce. My favorite bread is Aldis sourdough bread. It freezes great.
Thank you for sharing 😊 I have started to dehydrate more myself as dried veg prices have gone up a lot . As we speak I have a dehydrator full of mushrooms , be it a small one 😊😊
Hello. Thank you for sharing this. I've had those titan bars before and they are really nice. If you like Mars bars, then it's worth getting a few titan packs
Your grocery shopping trips are always fascinating to me. I am drooling over the prices compared to American prices. 28P for ANY pasta would be impossible. 75P is still great for here. 22 kg of rice would run at least 15GBP, at a great price here
Shops are stacking whatever they have in stock on the shelves I ended up buying 2 items that cost me more than I thought i was paying because they were in the wrong place, its really annoying.
Hi Ana 👋 and family 👪. We are going to aldi and Lidl on Saturday morning. I'm stocking up a little more, I think ww3 won't be long now. God bless Rob and family 👪 from Wales 🙏✌️
Hi Rob and family , have a good shop , just don’t do a mistake I did with pasta 🤣 well gutted I was . Have a good one and yes I dint think it’s too far , even if not , too many other things happening right now so better be prepared 😊
Hi Rob. I think your 100% right about the war coming soon. I'm prepping like mad. Got to make sure all our loved ones are fed , watered and when in need of meds we have it.. may God bless you and all your loved ones, stay strong and positive 🙏🙏
Ah Ana, thats so annoying about the Spaghetti! 🤦🏻♀ You could always pop them in the boot of your car with the receipt & take them back when you are next in the area. I don't get the price difference when the product inside is exactly the same. It's crazy. I have tried the Asda essential salmon paste from my last prepping video & it's awful. Not a patch on my usual princess. I will try the Asda own label next as that is also cheaper than Princess but has slightly more salmon/fish content & other ingredients the same so I'm hoping will be a good alternative for my toast 😊
I know , soooo annoyed. I bought asda beef paste , disgusting and not cheap . I showed in one of my luxury preps a pate king life from polish part in Asda 50p and tastes far better than jarred paste 😊😊
That’s so annoying getting the price wrong on the spaghetti. We did that on Aldi beans last week and I’ve done that many times in Lidl as well. We don’t learn do we 🤣 Nice shopping 😊
Thank you , it is literally very close . I’m trying my best to spread the word but some people unfortunately still don’t see it 😔 though I think vast majority of this community do , hence we all here 🥰😊
I mainly shop in Aldi then Lidl and the labelling in both stores is misleading at times…very annoying. Have to agree the Aldi crisps are yucky…use them scrunched up on top of pasta tuna bake. I have been down the same path…don’t like tinned veg but got a load last month for just in case…beggars can’t be choosers. I have been getting Christmas treats food this week…just had to open a packet to taste test 🤣
@@AnasFoodLifestyle Ana next time you are in Tescos have a look at Stockwells or Growers Harvest tinned veg. Very cheap, in water and low in salt. I never buy tinned veg but I have added to this weeks shop. Carrots and peas good to through in a stew with tinned potatoes and meat, just in case 😉 Don't want to be caught out like the beginning of covid when there was absolutely nothing on the shelves.
Tinned potatoes crushed slightly, seasoned with oil, garlic and salt and pan fryed until crisped slightly are great.
Thank you for the tip x 😊
My dad used to crush tinned potato’s and fry with chopped leek and garlic, and grated cheese. Very nice!

Absolutely , just apart from carrots veggies are not cheap now , looked at green beans 80p per tin , that’s crazy 🙄🥰🥰
@@AnasFoodLifestyle I know, I’m finding it really hard as I love fresh veg, but worried won’t be much next year, love my potatoes! ❤️

No I mean the dried potatoes ie smash , they don’t have milk and you make them with water

Crucials sauces are amazing! We esp love the yoghurt and mint with curries

We all need to prep as we are about to face a serious food shortage in the I’ll.

My hubby just tried one , and yes they are very nice and for the price too 😊
@@AnasFoodLifestyle 🙂🙂
Try freezing them & them slicing into thin slices 🥰

single 2ltr bottle of water is 23p in Aldi
Wasn’t any when I went 😞

It won’t be long , 28p won’t lasts , stocking up as much as we can at those prices 😊
Hi Ana - you seem to have shopped at Aldi but the heading says Lidl
On my , thank you so much 😳
Loved the Ana x

What is everyone prepping for?
Take the spaghetti back to aldi they will change it for you the next time you go there… love the video
Thank you , it’s going to be a while before I go , so I’ll just have to stick with them and forget about it 😞
Keeping you all in the UK in my prayers. SHTF is just around the corner

Pointless prepping in u.k. You cant arm yourself.
You can! , just need to think outside the box and look hard enough. There are few surplus stores in the country !
