Hi GivEnergy, do the RFID tags allow for tracking of seperate cars. For example if tag1 is used for one EV and tag2 for the other, is it possible to generate a report of the charging sessions for the last month using each tag to effective track the usage on each car. Thanks!
Thanks Andy. I have AIO with GE Charger. Probably not the best place to raise it, but have noticed that with the charger in inverter-control mode and "Prevent battery discharging to EV" enabled, the inverter changes the battery input/output kW between 0 and 6kW to stop the AIO dumping to the EV. great. When it's diverting solar to EV it sets the battery in/out (both) to 0kW, and when the sun goes in/cloudy it sets them both to 6kW. However the issue is this ignores /overwrites any manual AIO max input/output kW you may have set - it always sets it to 6kW when it stops diverting solar to the car rather than reverting to any value you may have set manually. so e.g. if you have the AIO set to 4kW import rate for an overnight AIO topup, this will get set to 6kW during the day when it finishes diverting solar so by the next night it's still 6kW instead of 4kW
Timely video Andy as I have a GE charger getting fitted imminently ( followed shortly by an AC coupled AIO 13.5kWh 3.6). These will be added to my existing PV array with 3.7 kW inverter. I’ll happily view further vids on above storage kit. Q: Can I have more than one schedule set up and choose one as Active depending on upcoming usage? Think the answer is yes from the brief glimpse of one of the screens.
There is one issue that Givenergy devs need to sort PLEASE! The charger is not compatible with tariffs that have more than one off peak period. For example, I am on the Octopus Cosy tariff which has 3 off-peak periods. The app does not allow you to programme these 3 time periods into the app so that it will automatically charge my EV during each period. Seems like a simple issue to resolve. Any prospect of this happening?
With the charger set not to use the battery to charge the car, will the battery still provide power to the home when the car is charging from the grid?
Hi, just about to have my panels and Givenergy battery and charger installed. Quick question, if i charge my battery between 12.30-5.30 am can i still charge my EV at the same time and at full power i.e. 7kw ph? Are there any hints and tips? Thanks
Can you tell me when you change the graph information in the analytics the summary doesn’t change as well. I need the summary information to work out my monthly usage. At the moment I have scroll my finger over the graph and add together each charging session manually very frustrating.

They could ‘fight’ each other, so to speak. You have to pick which to use, schedule and turn off Smart Control on the octopus app, or let octopus control it.
Any idea when it will integrate with Intelligent Octopus Go? I'm moving home shortly and will need to buy a new charger that will work with this Octopus tariff.
@@givenergyTry and give companies a push as they support all givenergy battery systems ect so would be nice for customers to have all givenergy eco system and just using one app givenergy. You could offer companys x amount of a one off payment to supporting companies for each of your chargers users supported creating a business model to help get support of your product. I believe this would boost givenergy as a company as well as get loads of new customers and not many or any companies offer a support full product range ie battery, inverter and car charger off one company to work with octopus energy, eon etc.
@ I managed to move the Gateway, AIO and Gen3 Inverter. Turned out they each permanently transmit a unique SSID. I logged into each in turn, changed their name to make them easily identifiable then changed the house SSID and password. It was still necessary to use a WiFi extender as the equipment doesn’t like any signal strength less than 60%. Once I had the recipe it was about 10 minutes each to swap over. I was very disappointed that the installer had left all three WiFi instances open. Anyone could have piggybacked our internet. I feel my data protection was and home security was seriously compromised. I’ve now added unique encryption passwords. As for the EV charger, I delved into the settings and found the ‘change WiFi’ utility. It didn’t work at first until I worked out it was necessary to hold the phone against the Bluetooth symbol on the front of the EV charger.

Is this charger now available on Octopus to control??

That was useful to go through. Good to see the option to not use the battery whilst charging
Hi Andy, is it going to be offered in an untethered version? I have the AIO and am looking to add solar at some point.

I'll take that as a 'no' then as other comments have been answered 😅

Hi Andy, Is that the IOS version of app, it looks a little different from the android version I am using.
Please update on new all in one giv energy
Hi @givenergy, when will the charger be compatible with Octopus Intelligent Go tariff? many thanks
That’s up to OctopusEnergy I’m afraid.

With the schedule set for 11.30pm - 5.30am will that prevent Octopus IG starting the charge early (but still at 7p) if Octopus schedules that?

Isn't the plug actually the socket? and the car the plug?
You plug in the car, like you plug in the kettle, toaster, microwave etc.
I want to change the EV charger home wifi SSID and password to a new provider. So far I have not found a video showing how….
If you contact support they can send you the instructions.
Thanks

Any chance Givenergy are going to make the charger compatible with Nissan Leafs or eNV200?
I believe an adaptor is available for type 1 to type 2.
