They could have settled AND secured the Brick port but they essentially traded their Brick port for an extra Ore settle. If they'd left Dylan dependent on 9/10 without the 8 flexibility their chances are much, much higher.
What a wild game… the 5:1 trade, double plow that led to your brick-port success, the 5/8/10 not going until 3rd, and an honorable mention to blue and orange’s weird dynamic with the 3:1 ports. Wouldn’t be complete without an 11 point win, well played.
Black plowing you and not securing brick port is wild. I was shocked, it's not even great numbers. He could've secured brick port and put down a road just to stop you from plowing him and I think he would've been golden to win. Especially since you wouldn't have a good port.
I think pacing wise you never get that 2nd city. With that coordingated 9s it's easy to get one later, I would just buy devs and stay unblocked and get army.
because he doesnt really want the 31011 just the 2910 mainly, 31011 isnt nearly as good for him and at that point its better to just go for the reverse plow which he does
Maybe it's me, but if you think losing the 31011 is devastating, why not drop that easy road to secure it? But after he replowed black to the brick port, isn't that just obviously better? Not only do you get the 8 brick and the port, while you have a 4 ánd a 5 brick as well, you also take it from them.
Because the 2910 is even better, he wanted to have a chance at that. 2910 gives him double wheat (which crushes once he drops the 9510 city, and another ore spot to avoid getting his ore cut out by blocks)
@@mehulsingla6539 But he's never gonna get that. At that point he needed sheep, but his 10 roll gives black the sheep too. So black is gonna get that settlement before he does, unless he gets really lucky and rolls the 10 himself. Which seems a bad strategy to hope for. On top of that, he knew black had 2 roads and could plow him. He knew at least black could drop 1 road to secure the 2910. So I still don't understand it. It doesn't make sense imo.
@@JohnSmithEx He has a habit of doing this. Not dropping a simple road, and then losing out on a settlement, connection or even an important 2:1 port. It happened in his last video too, and multiple recent ones.
Hey Dylan, typing this before watching the video, but do you stream? If you do whats the easiest way to get notifications to when you start your streams?
the only thing i dont get is why take this plow risk at all? Like you knew that black recieved a lot of wood and brick early. So just cut your losses on the idea for the 2.9.10 and just put a road down to the 3.10.11. that way you cant be plowed anymore. You get 3 ore numbers and the ore port. Ofcourse you would lose the brick port... but wouldnt you rather have that abundance in ore? Edit: And i think you also could have just put down 2 roads (defensive road) if you REALLY wanted that 2.9.10
Yeah, Black destroyed their own game by plowing for a middling 3 10 11 spot & fed you the game by leaving the brick port open. As soon as Black plowed I thought it was good for you because it weakened them.
“Yeah y’all throwing absolutely horrid trades”
*gives an unprecedented and unheard of FIVE FOR ONE*

"Truly embarrassing stuff by....*self-awareness hits* GG everybody WP"

Black: "y'all throwing, horrid trades for Dylan"
Also black: "here's five for one, take the brick port"
Didn't know manguy trash talked so much
Man guy embarrassing himself yelling “horrid trades” when he in fact gave a 5:1 trade which lost him the brick port and the ore port
At 2:45 the brick port is animated with the ore port. Obviously minor mistake but funny nevertheless
A glitch in the Matrix.

I hope this series continues for this new season i really like
First! Love your content Dylan- it’s my weekly ritual to watch your stuff over dinner.
Time for a third season of road to top 1?
that plough - plough was hilarious. Perhaps good for you.
you just have to protect the brick port as black, its the key to his game.
Great video! Always hype to see an upload from you
Nice content. at 2:48 you port is edited wrong. (showing ore when it should be brick)
8/4/10 double brick and brick port going 4th is insane
Dylighted I played with you in the game right after this one with Manguy. I’m Destructo!
Looking great Dylan!
Nice video! Did you know you can click on the board to build roads, settlements and cities?
Looking forward to this season!

cause blocked with 1 more city really is weaker than unblocked non city.
At 8 minutes, why nót drop a road and secure the 31011?

The early double plow by you and black was so funny ^_^

Not dropping a road to 11-10-3 was such a mistake...
I love the counter plow. This was a good one!
It's just nuts to me that you have a starting road and you don't use it to go to 3 10 11 at least. If you think you will get plowed.
Well played bro
Plz make video everyday
They are feeding you :)

I verry much enjoyed the flexing 💪 and the game
Black plowing you lost him the game
The 5 for 1 trade was the big L you can bait Dylan by giving him a trade that puts him over but 5 for 1 is overkill lol
In which direction are you climbing the ladder?
Bro how do you have 15k likes on a video with only 3.5k views?
