From what I remember, the Jud character and Gage would play fight right before filming the scene of him biting. That's how they got it to look real. Crazy, it looks good. None of that would fly today.

The documentary said that during filming the scenes Miko and Fred were playing while the cameras rolled, and that the hand holding the prop scalpel was a Woman’s hand.
“A master of depicting grief…” absolutely. His descriptions are almost keening next to you when you read them. That’s where the actual horror is, in the depth of human anguish, not the monsters.
I've never seen the 2019 version because i just can't picture Pet Semetary withou Fred Gywnne. I agree about the book, though. It's absolutely fantastic.
Don't waste your time. It's so far from the novel that it's sickening, and it's nowhere near as good as the original movie. The directors said that their version is closer to the book, but they are full of it. The plot twist is dumb, the story itself changed a lot, they removed things that were important to the story, and added things that weren't needed. The ending is also completely different from the novel and the 1989 movie.
You should do a breakdown of SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES. It's Disney's attempt at doing Stephen King/Clive Barker. Creeped the heck out of me as an 80s kid.
I NEVER could understand why the Judd TOLD HIM then fucken SHOWED HIM where the "zombie making" cemetery was located and what to do THEN warn him not to bury anything there....like, Judd is the real duch bag in this movie 😂

I can never tell which Pet Sematary is the one with the motorcycle. I grew up with that one, so to me that's Pet Sematary 1, if that makes sense.
