HG P407 (Almost) free steering mod to stock steering

The HG P407 inherently has a weak steering system. It’s designed after the Tamiya Bruiser. It’s not necessarily bad but it needs help. The steering servo is mounted high up and towards the rear of the truck in a protective box and uses a long linkage to connect to the steering up front. In theory it might be a good idea to hide/protect the servo.
With the stock servo this truck was basically useless as it could barley turn. Now after this mod it’s much improved. The stock servo servo had way too much play and made the steering useless. I’ll drive it around like this and see what happens. Hopefully don’t need to front mount the steering servo!
HG P407 RTR details:
-stock 3 channel transmitter/receiver/ESC/servos
-steering servo saver mod
-removed 2 of the 3 leaf springs per pack
-shock internal springs removed
-2.2 tires and foams from Banggood
-12 LED light kit with control unit from Banggood
-transmission disassembled and lubed
-differentials disassembled and lubed
-front/rear differentials locked
-shocks rebuilt
-complete reassembly truck ensuring all screws tight
-custom paint, stock sticker sheet used (No Toyato!)
-wheels secured using 3mm x 15mm bolts
-little driver dude
