Awesome results and some very good points I've never really thought about.
I had a Meyer lemon that has done horrible since I put it in ground but instead of tossing it... I've rooted about 15 great cuttings from it.

TC Adventures thank you so much my friend.!im just trying to do what I can to help other gardeners out a little bit. I just think grafting, planting cuttings, and airlayering is super important for a good gardener. That’s why I try to learn as many techniques as I can. With the help of all of my good friends like rose5150 I will have learned enough to keep me, my family, and all of my YT friends up to date on these important skills. 😉

So today my neighbor bought a male kiwi 🥝 and a patently it needs a females to pollinate with and the females are ones that produce the fruits.... is it possible to graft onto a male tree with female branch clippings ? And vice versa I was thinking I could get a female tree ... or do the trees have to be separate planted side by side ! Thanks!!

"girdling"- seems like it's something you want to avoid. Seems to happen if the tape is on too long, it constricts like a girdle on the branch so he is showing how to check up on that and how to determine when/if to remove the tape.
This is my understanding, at least.
