    The transforming yellow pancake is the Asshimar (Zeta), it upgrades to the Anksha (Unicorn) and later on, the Big Mac burger, Asshimac (Crossbone)

    Thanks for reacting to this clip!
    This is from movie 1 of 2005~2006 movie trilogy that reanimated 1985 TV series Zeta Gundam(or Z Gundam). Funnily, the movie trilogy also kept several original clips from 1985~1986, so you might have noticed the difference in animation quality between scenes. Movie 1 had only about 33% new modern reanimation.
    Zeta Gundam, considered as one of the best Gundam shows ever, deals with the Gryps War taking place in U.C. 0087, which is 7 years after One Year War. In the show, Amuro and Char are on the same side as they both fight the common enemy known as Titans, a powerful and oppressive elite unit within the Earth Federation. Both of them support and mentor the new main character Kamille Bidan in their own way. Kamille and Char are part of anti-Titans organization A.E.U.G., while Amuro later joins a different anti-Titans organization called Karaba that's mostly active on Earth only.
    The 1988 movie Char's Counterattack takes place 6 years after Zeta, in U.C. 0093, where Amuro and Char become enemies again, as Char became radicalized after the end of Gryps War.
    The Gryps War introduced several transformable mobile suits, and the Titan pilot's orange transformable mobile suit Asshimar is one of several transformable mobile suits introduced earlier in the war.
    BTW, many mobile suits in this era were new models that might have been influenced by mobile suits from OYW and afterwards, but they won't necessarily use old names like Zaku. Most of them are brand new models, not variants of previous generation mobile suits. The MC Kamille later pilots Zeta Gundam, the first transformable Gundam which design is still considered perfect.
    I also like the golden mobile suit piloted by Char(using the pseudonym Quattro Bajeena in this era), which is called Hyaku Shiki, meaning "Type 100" in Japanese.

    This is before chars counter attack (CCA). Unknown if they survived. Missing in action. most likely KIA.
    Rough Timeline: One Year War -> Zeta -> ZZ -> CCA
    Pretty sure this is the first time these two characters encountered each other after the one year war ended when both almost killed each other.
    Well iirc the clip is more remastered than the orignal (basically cgi made to look like it was hand drawn in the 1900s)
    Hyaku shiki basically is a derivitive of the delta gundam. not really a gundam.
    The mk 2 and the hyaku shiki was fighting a variable machine.
    basically 2 machines falling slowly to earth vs a jet/ms that isn't falling.

    The RX-178 Gundam MK-II a Prototype MS made by the Titans 3 units are known to exist but sometimes 4 units Exists it was developed from the RGM-79Q GM Quel, RX-121 Gundam TR-1 [Hazel] and RX-178-X0 Prototype Gundam MK-II and this MS was developed into many MS in the future this Ver is piloted by Kamille Bidan and later on many others in the future
    The MSN-00100 Hyaku Shiki a Prototype Attack-Use MS piloted by Quattro Bajeena and many others in the future it is and isn’t a Gundam it was developed from the MSN-001 Delta Gundam and developed into many other MS
    The gold use is a Beam-Resistant Coating which is able to take a couple of Beam shots before the coating where’s up

    • @NeoXNeo2007
      @NeoXNeo2007 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The Delta Gundam was a faulty MS It was an amazing one, but it had problems thanks to the fact that it wasn’t early Transform MS it had problems with stability it could fight in MS mode and flight mode with no problem but going back and forth into the forms it started to break apart since it was having too much stress on the frame of the MS in return crash landing on the ocean. They were able to pick it up again and fixed on its problems so in return, they made it more of a high mobility type MS in return things for the movable armor/Frame they had an extremely mobile MS plus with it’s Anti-Beam Coding. It was great in return it was developed into the Hyaku Shiki
      So it does count as a Gundam and yet not really because it’s not called one
      BTW the MK-II has two colors the one that we see is the A.E.U.G Colors Ver but the one that everyone loves is the bad guy colors a.k.a. The Titans Colors Ver a nice dark color color, a navy blue with black everyone loves it because well it’s cool plus in general it actually also counts as our very first ever bad guy Gundam in anime and meaning as well is a part of the titans which are pretty much the bad guys before it gets stolen and converted into a Good Guy and it’s color changes as well

      @ the NRX-044 Asshimar is a Mass Production Transformable Atmospheric MS it was made by the [EFSF Oakland Research Insitiute] and used by the Titans and others it has a extremely early Transformable Frame and because of its unique transformable frame, it was able to transform more faster than other transformable MS of it’s time it was developed from the RX-78E Gundam GT-FOUR and develop into the CNRX-044 Asshimac, RAS-96 Ankaha and other variants Because the way how it transform, it was given the nickname flying doughnut and saucer
      Fun fact: on some pacific testing grounds local people reported to the EFSE about a flying saucer telling them that it might be aliens when in reality it was just the Asshimar flying around for testing faces
      As time went by, it started to get outdated and put into storage later on coming out and becoming an upgrade for other MS to be based on
      It does not really have no Close range weaponry, so it uses its fist and it has Two Beam rifle one standard and one long

    Zeta Gundam is about a decade after the One Year War(0079) with 0080, 0083, Zeta, ZZ, and various side stories all happening before Char's Counterattack takes place in 0093.
    Also, note that Camille and Char cant deal with Asshimar because it can fly on it's own whereas their mobile suits lack that output unless equipped with a waverider(flying sled)

    Zeta had a lot of underrated non-Gundam MS. Asshimar is definitely my top 3, under Hyaku Shiki (Char's gold suit in the clip) and Byarlant. Idk if other folks has said this, but Zeta as a whole is also a turning point in Char's life where he already ditched Zeon and tried to reform the increasingly corrupt Earth Federation "from the inside" by eventually leaving the role of a soldier and acts more like a politician like his father little by little, co-leading the AEUG (Anti-Earth Union Group; main faction of Zeta) only for the conflict to escalate even more and ended up (off-camera) the disillusioned, genocidal "martyr" we see in CCA movie. This particular scene also featured Amuro, who, while heralded as a war hero and given privileges as high-ranking officers do, was also being untrusted by the Earth Federation (Feddies for short) and ended up in a house arrest situation in his mansion, leaving him also fed up and itching to get to the battlefield in the opposing faction with hopes of also reforming it from the inside with the Karaba branch of AEUG.
    A lot of the AEUG crews are people defecting from the Federation due to how corrupt it has gotten (also touched upon in 0083 Stardust Memory. Yes. the one with the nuke Gundam), like the first episode had 2 people defecting, one being the fresh Petty Officer Emma Sheen and the legendary White Base captain himself, Bright Noa (Hathaway's dad). Oh and also some Zeon folks too, like Char (sorry, I mean LT. QUATTRO)'s two trusted men, Roberto and Apolly (idk who else, but they're the ones I remember).
    Btw the Zeta movies was its own canon though.. The Zeta New Translation movies are like Dragon Ball Z Kai (where they have new animated scenes sprinkled in with the old), but with the ending changed. Like, in theory, in the timeline of these movies, ZZ and CCA (by proxy, also Unicorn and Hathaway) and beyond (except F91, maybe?) might never even happen. The scenes are mostly played the same in the first two movies, since mostly are just touch-ups of the old 80s series anyway, but the third film is where things get overly simplified, cut and ended up being almost vastly different than the Zeta series.

      @azeraph20 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ yea… The New Translation movies are like Yoshiyuki Tomino’s “apology” to the viewers from back then who thought “yikes Zeta was too dark wtf”. The man did get the moniker Kill ‘Em All Tomino from Zeta (and Victory). But for action scenes, it doesn’t really matter tho because most of the time it’s just 1:1 rejuvenation of the old animation, so it’s good.

    The golden mobile suit is Hyaku Shiki (translate to 100 type), this MS suppose to become "Transformable Gundam" and transform to Wave Rider (Plane Mode) but failed! The name of this MS supposed to be DELTA GUNDAM 😮😊
    So instead throw away this failed project, Anaheim Electronic decide to turn this to just normal Mobile Suit 😅
    But later, battle data of this MS became important and later this failed project became success in future.

    Spoilers:
    Char and Amuro Ray have major animosity towards each other due to the death of a certain person named Lalah. She was a newtype that Char came across. She was not in a happy situation, but Char rescued her from that. Due to that Lalah swore to protect Char with her life. She then met Amuro during the last parts of the war where Zeon was testing out all sorts of new newtype related weapons. They met in person on a colony where both of them were resting and were attracted to each other. It was the first time for Amuro to come across a newtype had not tried to kill on first contact and he was the only newtype on his mothership the White Base. Latter Lalah was deployed in the newest newtype mobile armor to test it out/take down the White Base. Amuro then fought both Lalah and Char. Amuro was about to give the finishing blow to Char when Lalah shoved Char's mobile suit out of the way and was struck down by Amuro's attack. Char and Amuro blame each other for the death of Lalah. Char blames Amuro due to the fact that Amuro was the one who hit Lalah's mobile armor that killed her. Amuro blames Char for ever brining Lalah onto the battle field at all, wanting her to be safe and away from death.
    Lalah's death haunts both of them, even during the movie Char's Counterattack, which is over a decade after Lalah's death, they still blame each other for her death. During their final duel they kept on arguing with each other over Lalah's death.
